Because kids actually exist in real life and while patreon want you to think that adult games are just only smut but they are not. Most developer wants to actually express their creative freedom and character development without needing the sex always. What's good is pregnancy contents when game can't even show your children. Particularly, I don't know how deep is this new rule but it is utter bs.
Sure, but also, how many porns have had underage kids in an opening scene, had them leave, and then start the sex acts? Have you seen any porn where there were just random regular child actors in part of it?
None, Because that's porn? Do you really think porn videos have plot and choices? Porn videos doesn't continue for years to reach it ends also. There's a vast difference between games and only porns. These are also fictional characters in a fictional settings.
I mean, not impossible. Neon does it with FiN. Well, not ALL the NSFW stuff though.
ALL the nsfw content? Like i know a game had the incest content that wasn't name swapping in a "patch", but the rest of the nsfw content was in the base game
Used(?) to be the only way to get adult games onto steam so not that insane. I know that GOG has a bunch of adult games with the adult patch in the extras.
Well, GoG offerin AVNs now is something within the last couple years. It's a new thing for them. Same as when Steam first started allowin it. You had to provide patches. I also think Epic may at some point start allowin it on their platforms. So, they'll probably do the same thing.
Or patch the sfw contents of the minor character which might work but i don't know if patreon will still hammer his game. not to mention most people don't like patch. Particularly another options is put the download links on discord only.
