A hint system if you're stuck would be a huge help
Thanks for the feedback, down the line I want to implement something where you can straight up shoot a text in the tutorial conversation to get some hints regarding the current step of the story.

Don't agree with you at all dude, I think it will be interesting to see Clementine's progression from person on the sidelines to actively participating in having fun and embracing herself. Jade serves as Clementine's foil and anchor in the story - someone to compare Clementine to, character who will react to and influence Clem's progress in a different manner than player adding element of chaos, dynamics and grounding. It would be a lot more boring if it was 1 on 1. A lot of games do that and it feels stale and without nuance.
You just need to give it a little bit more time. This is literally a prologue. Painting an overall character landscape. It will be a lot worse if it is rushed.
For me, writing-wise, first two episodes feel great - in the end of it I've got a clear idea of who is who and what can I expect from them. I actually remembered specifics about the characters and it's a great sign.
The only thing that really irks me in terms of writing is the abundance of "!" after every message. Protagonist seems just a little bit too excited pretty much about EVERYTHING.
Thank you kindly for the very detailed feedback, it helps a lot. For now it's a bit all over the place as I just want to showcase a bit of everything but at the end of the day writing quality is one of my top priorities. English is not my native language either so it's also good to know if something sounds weird, your points are duly noted !

this is what a "phone" porn game should be. stuff like slut phone or blah blah blah phone are all just slideshows of instant extreme (usually cuckold) porn that is no different from the other 1000 ntr slideshow visual novels pumped out daily. its nice to have something that actually makes use of the setting/format.

i would suggest on the not instagram app when a character has a comment under a photo, like the roommate commenting under the main girl, you should be able to get to their profile by clicking on the comment. even if there isnt much/any content on it it would be a nice touch. that could even be an alternative way of finding their not onlyfans rather than the current ai image enhancement thing or whatever that is supposed to be in the gallery.
Cheers for the feedback ! I've heard that a few times and it's of course very much planned, the goal is for the apps to feel as immersive as possible with a bunch of hyperlinks, every character having her own social media pages, etc.

Something similar would be the manyfans app, doesn't make sense that the two that's in your front page is user doesn't exist. perhaps paid first only.

v0.13 Public Update - Day 2 continued, the Party arc is starting, technical updates, save function overhaul, and more !
Third update coming through, though a bit delayed !
Note : old save files should not be compatible, better start fresh !

What's new ?

I've worked on a bunch of stuff !
I've tried to prioritize addressing the many feedbacks I had : little nitpicks or actual bugs, they are all important to me and I made them my priority.
Therefore, all the problems regarding the save function should be resolved, and no more softlocks should be encountered.
Furthermore, it's now possible to have several save files per session, for players that wanted to easily test out several paths.
I spent a lot of time refactoring (improving the code), as a big part of my codebase was written when this was just a tiny side project, a lot of features have since been added and it had become kind of a nightmare to maintain, it was limiting the design possibilities and it was causing some bugs. This big refactoring is complete for the main and oldest part of the game, i.e. the messaging system, which is good !
A bit of character customization : you can now change your name and gender and see those changes reflected in the dialogues.
Returning players rejoice, it is now possible to skip the individual tutorial sections through dialog choices if you don't need them !
Some new hints to be found, as I'm paving the way to another story arc with the roommate which you'll be able to discover.
I've also reworked the flow of the different scripted events in the story to make it more consistent, for instance, the ManyFans stream is now only accessible during a limited portion of the story and turns offline afterwards. Don't miss it !
The ManyFans app have been improved, I've added the technical framework to include hints and clues all over, and some posts now feature comments.
And of course, the story continues, with a bunch of new dialogue with both characters, some branching paths and a few pictures to unlock !
I have a lot of ideas for this story arc and what's already been implemented should tip you off on where this will be going.
And as usual, a lot of bugfixes, keep the feedback coming !
I know this update is a bit delayed, so I'll talk about that in the next section...

Regarding the Android development

I worked a lot on this for this release, and unfortunately I lost a lot of precious time trying to solve annoying, blocking issues. The UI stuff is easily worked out but there's a lot of other issues to address, more than I anticipated, before being able to release a seamless, multi-platform software with minimal forked code (that's the important caveat !).
I really wanted to be able to deliver a working Android build for this one and got really sidetracked, and kind of burned myself out on this stuff, which frankly is not the most interesting part of the development process. That's part of why this release took a bit longer that I expected, as I also allowed myself a brief hiatus to reevaluate my priorities.
I'm putting this aside for now.
Going forward, I really want to focus on new content as that's what is the most appealing for you guys, the players, so content will be the main focus of the following releases.
I however do not abandon the Android development, this is still very much part of my backlog, but I will try to better evaluate the amount of work needed for it and allocate my time accordingly.
Managing a game development project by yourself is a huge task, and this game is still in its infancy so I'm learning, bear with me !

What's next ?

As I said, I want new content to be the main focus of the next releases.
I got sidetracked and too many different things for this release and ended up losing time, and not producing as much content as I would have hoped. I'm releasing now to try and realign the release cycle with what I originally had in mind !
The party arc will likely be the subject of the next couple of releases, depending on how much I will cram into it.
I have a lot of different ideas for what's to come, but storyboarding/drawing/writing/coding takes a loooot of time, so the actual development does not really follow the pace of the creative process, which can be annoying !
I try to hint at where the story is going towards and I hope you guys like it.
Once again, I really appreciate feedback so please, keep it coming !
In parallel to the android development, I will investigate the feasibility of a web release. Several technologies are possible so I'll try to look into it, as targeting several platforms is a must.
I always try to improve on the management aspect and will keep fine tuning the extent of the scope of each release.

I love the game. The Art is beautiful and hits my Taste. Such a gem in the cesspool of AI Art and generic 3D models. The characters feel realistic and are well written.

I am probably dumb but how do you unlock Jades stream? I finished the content at the Party and Jade recruiter me as content Manager, so she (the game) assumed I saw her, but I didnt. I thought she would drop the Account Name at some point, but she didnt so I guess I have to figure that out somehow, but how?

It's going well, thanks ! The project is still in its infancy so I'm still navigating the quirks of managing such a project all alone, which is not trivial. I'm currently trying to deliver a monthly release but it's still subject to changes. Currently working on the august release !

v0.14 Public Update - Party arc continuation, FaceGram overhaul, new characters, and more !

Fourth update is up !
Note : as per usual, old save files should not be compatible, better start fresh !
Remember that the tutorial bits can be skipped, and you also can set the message speed in the settings if you want to speed past the beginning of the story.
EDIT: I've attached to this message a modified savefile picking up right at the end of 0.13 with all of the unlockable content available. Remember you can change the name/gender in the Contacts app should you wish to !

What's new ?

New content, new features
were the focus for this release.
Story wise, we proceed with the story arc, this time focusing mostly on Clem and leaving Jade at her shenanigans. This will also provide the opportunity to meet a couple of new characters !

Improving FaceGram

At the core of this update, new features in our main social media app.
My end goal for this game is to provide an immersive social media experience. Working towards this, I've implemented a bunch of stuff to improve interactivity in this app.
Until now, it was a glorified Clementine profile display, but each character now has its own profile to browse with its own specific details and hidden clues.
That also means I had to improve navigation : clicking on characters commenting on a publication, for instance, shall bring you to this character's profile. Likewise, characters mentioned through their @ handles in publication are detected as such and can be clicked to navigate to said profile.
Friend lists also get expanded : they are a bit more than a cosmetic number, they now hide real interconnected profiles and thus provide a gameplay element to discover new pieces of information.

On the technical side

A bunch of bugfixes, mostly following feedback received here. Keep it coming !
Some consistency fixes, notably for the character customization : changes of the PC's own gender or changes in the different characters names should be better reflected everywhere in the app (though sometimes needing a reload !)
I've started working a bit on the performance side. With the story expanding, the conversations start getting pretty long with a bunch of pictures and that was causing performance issues in the messaging app.
I've implemented virtualization that fixes it though it might sometimes cause some minor scrolling offsets when new messages are added to the conversation.
Performance will however be a whole subject down the line as I know there are several areas where a bunch of improvements can be made, though requiring some time-consuming work. I want the app to be snappy and responsive !

What's next ?

New content
is still the main focus. Even as a truncated beta build, I want the game to be a self-contained social media simulator that feels like you can browse several apps and find new stuff everywhere.
That also means progression, since watching new content get published is a core part of the social media experiment.
Down the line, I wish to have a very organic progression and a steady flow of new content throughout the game.
In order to reach these goals, I will have to populate the different apps with a bunch of content : random selfies and pictures, but also a bunch of text publications that add to the immersion, provide context and tell stories.
The release cycle will most likely remain the same for the next couple of updates : continuation of the story with new content,
some new features facilitating gameplay elements, and some filler content on the side as time allows.

This game turned out to be a very pleasant discovery! I will follow the development of this project and I wish the developer success in his creative efforts from the bottom of my heart!

Thinking about it, I should implement a way to start from the new content, or some kind of chapter selection. That goes into the backlog !

Personally, I haven't seen games exactly like this outside of the usual Visual Novel with some very hacky-integrated laptop UI or something, but if we go more general; starting with the obvious ones ...
I think there are more games like NTR Phone, but I can't recall right now. I'll update the list if I remember other ones. Edit: You might also want to try Orwell, although its not an eroge hah.

The word "lives" here, in a conversation with Jade, doesn't make sense--guessing a translation issue but it's the only one I spotted.

There's also this bug? near the end of current content when it's Clementine's turn at Truth or Dare. Unless it's trying to show that she doesn't answer the first time you ask so you have to ask again but that didn't come across very well.

Amanda's Facegram profile picture seems to break the clothing filter. It worked fine when I first added it to Gallery but, around the time Clementine goes to find Victoria, the clothing filter stops working at all on that picture and sometimes works on Victoria's pictures and sometimes doesn't. It always seemed to work on Jade and Clementine's photos.

Is there a way to move the .dll files into a subfolder so that the game executable is more prominent when you open the main game folder?

Is better save file management possible? I like the new save system over the old auto-save only but a way to load saves while in game and to overwrite a file instead of making a new one each time would be nice.

Overall, I am still really enjoying the game. My one critique is that it feels like the game where you accompany Clementine and get to perv on her friends and her roommate sends you naughty photos is a separate game from the one where you help Jade manage her Facegram and Manyfans accounts and it might be better to make a game focusing on one and then a different game focusing on the other.

Since there's the gallery and branching paths what are the chances to get NG+ with clues and pictures kept but starting the story over. Could also have side branches only available with information the player couldn't get normally in one playthrough? This is mostly just cause having to go through multiple of the same path could be annoying and saves can't be named

Love the detailed feedback, thanks. Addressing each point :
  • It's short for "livestream" but it's indeed not very idiomatic, even though it's used in my own language
  • Not a bug, it's indeed the latter. I'm still experimenting with the flow of the conversation : for now everything is very sequential and following a pretty fixed rythm, but I'd like to make changes to that. Pauses, delays, rythm breaks, etc. can be good narrative devices
  • The filter UI is wonky, it's a known issue. Sometimes when browsing the gallery they get all broken, it's not related to a specific picture but it happens more often as more pics are added to the gallery. It should be fixed if you go back to the grid display and click the picture again. Will most likely be fixed next release
  • Yes, the assemblies can be moved into a folder, I'll keep that in mind
  • The save system will be improved in the future, for sure. It's something I whipped up from scratch as I'm not using a game engine but it's still far from perfect
  • Interesting point. For now, the latter is a very undeveloped plot but it's still something I'd like to develop. I'm not sure maintaining two different games would be worth the hassle, I liked the idea of having a bunch of different things to do, brings some variety to the gameplay

I think this mostly boils down to the fact that the save function can be improved. If you could easily name and reload saves, exploring different paths would be more convenient. Chapter selection could also help in that regard.
All of these are in the works

Good game so far but right now i'm stuck when i have to find more about Valerie with facegram.... i managed to get on amanda's facegram but i don't see anything to investigate more from there.

Edit : just got it ... to be honest it was not super smooth
