I think he may be done with his original song projects, which were probably the source of his delay...no news is bad news
He actually said we are getting more to Viv's Mom's story than the first incarnation of the game

I was trying to read one of the dev's Subscribestar messages, and I'm not gonna lie, I was just so confused for a little while thinking the dev received a bunch of DDoS attacks ([distributed] denial-of-service attacks). I was thinking while reading the message that I hope they're okay and that they managed to backup their work and such. Then it occurred to me that the dev was simply using the acronym for this game, Dog Days of Summer.
Omg... *Rolls eyes.* Look, I had a long day. I can't be the only one that had this brainfart... can I?
I obviously need a drink. Hope everyone's having a good weekend at least.

While we wait, I recommend the game Summer in the City, it reminded me this one. It has a similar spirit, you can play an only lesbian run.

Hello Everyone. So here we are with update 3.1b of Dog Days of Summer.
I was hopping to get to the party but there is just so much content that I hit a bit of a wall and need a break. But wanted to have a new update up by August.
And yes some of you might have noticed I redid all of the sprites and reworked Vivian again. A lot of people complained about her change so I tried to get her closer to her original. And this is the last time I am going to make any changes to her character because I will not be doing that ever again.
So this is a beta to do bug test and assuming there are no problems there will be another release the first Monday of August which will probably have a bit more content. Maybe.
And if all goes well I plan on uploading it to steam at the same time as well. As such enjoy the trailer I put together for it on my twitter(yes I still call it twitter) or on subscribestar

Wanted to try this since too few lesbian centric games without dicks for the plot bullshittery around, but the MC looks like Michael Jackson. That will be nightmare fuel in every lewd scene.
Alright so a new update to the remake, and Vivian's appearance was reworked again, I'd say this time she looks good, she doesn't look like a mature woman anymore and instead looks like a young adult, as she is supposed to be, perhaps less on the cute side of the spectrum and more on the hot side of the spectrum, but overall I'd say this is a solid step up from the previous version of the remake.
Although the ponytail looks very weird, I never seen a ponytail where you have some hairs left that looks so... separated from the rest it doesn't look like it belong together, its as if she shaved off some hairs on the top of her bangs, to make space between the bangs and the hairs she pull in her ponytail, which looks fairly bad, but otherwise her normal hair style is fine and she looks good so I'd say its a win.
