When you put it like that, those are some juicy updates. I havent had time to actually enjoy the games I'm following so this is some exciting stuffReminder: Ever since Update 9.0 was released nearly a year ago, this is what happened in the femdom games world.
- Floor 8, 9 and S&C standalones were released publicly for Tower of Trample.
- NumericGazer has announced and showed progress of over 8 new witches being added to Under The Witch chapter 2.
- Zenkuro from A New Life In Submission has announced his return from a year-long hiatus while still working on CGs behind the scenes.
- SaliaCoel released multiple updates of FemU Zero while also managing to get her game on Steam.
- Teary has released the third and final part of the 0.096 update of Katalist, while also having reworked all the CGs in the game as he basically upscaled everything.
- Ariestra has released multiple updates of Escape From Misantria.
While all this happened in between Domina 9.0 to now, all Deka offered was delays, announcement of delays and a shit load of drama. The amount of work and dedication this 3-men team provides definitely overshadows all these 2-men or solo devs previously mentioned.

Dekarous did fine at the beginning too. His speed was very good.
But after a while he just said: "fuck this I will just collect money and stop working on this shit".
Instead we got this garbage school game that would get trashed even 20 years ago on Newgrounds.

What bothers me the most is especially the deafening silence of the developers... Dekarous not being the only example, from what I know (if the case of Dekarous proves to be true)... we have also Zion of Olympus, in a similar case... human communication has completely stopped, as if there was a certain fear in discussing with people, it is only discussed by press release in "marketing conference" mode... c It's worthy of the worst decisions from a big company like Electronic Arts or Activizion Blizzard.
the problem is that if we can explain the cases of big boxes which, by dint of swimming in the money, end up becoming above ground and doing shit...
in the case of our dear developers... it is more a surplus of ego which is at the origin of their dreamlike crisis.
the guys become greedy because they created a good game, that's good... but in most cases, it's still not finished games and the more time passes, the closer it gets to 'an abandoned game'.... and we can say what we want, but a 'finished average game' will always be better than a 'incomplete good game'...

I absolutely agree with the lack of transparency being the biggest problem. If these dev's egos didn't get in the way (Looking at you Koda especially), so many of these hold ups would be much more tolerable. I mean, all Deka had to do at the beginning was to just announce that he was over ambitious and underestimated the coding/ time commissioning artwork would take. Instead he went from one newbie dev mistake to another in the form of feature creep. He don't need a Domina 2 or even the multiple choice dialogue options, just a smoother release schedule with regular progress reports.

Seeing Succubus Hunter get angry at this game is so refreshing. Didn't even mention "Best girl" this time, Dekarous is stuck in the mud but this guy is really showing some progress
say what you will about these H games and their developers they are nowhere near the same level of awful as or could even hope to be anywhere near the amount of ineptitude greed and contempt for their players demonstrated by a disturbing amount of modern triple A games these days.

Mmm... I could put a few at the top. NumericGazer for example has one of the most ambitious porn games out there and definitely goes miles above the norm for porn games. Heck, I could also put HuniepotDev way up there. The Huniepop games might not be super high in terms of porn content, but the CGs are pretty hot, the games are a lot of fun by themselves even without the porn, the humour is on point, it's just fun experiences. It would probably take forever to make a tier list of indie devs in the porn categories.

the difference with AAA is that unlike independent games, they are no longer dependent on players who like quality, they already have an astronomical quantity of pigeons to buy their shit simply because -that it is "such company" or because it is "such license". Independent developers, on the other hand, are much more dependent on their audience, because they are much more restricted.
I mean, a game made by Poring, for example, has much more of a duty to be qualitative because its income depends on that, whereas a company like Electronic Arts can afford to make shit in boxes, buggy as hell, despite a turnover of several billion, simply because there will always be a thousand pigeons to buy an incomplete game the price of a new one.
and this is the sad dilemma of developers, the more they do a good job, the more they are known, BUT, the more they are known, the more they take the risk of falling into the spiral of mediocrity.
reason why I'm afraid for certain games that I consider "good", Domina being one of them, obviously, because Ultimately, I would like Dekarous not to sink into this spiral.

New Deka Patreon post. TLDR: Just a lot of nothing, Deka saying he's rebranding the game because there's a Steam game also called Domina. My brother in Christ took over 4 years to realize there was a game of the same name out there which was released 6 years ago.

What? I'm pretty sure the game dev that made the other Domina got banned from steam and his game got removed because he was putting anti-mask/Vaccine messages in his patch notes.

Yes, the game got pulled from the Steam store. Not just because of the anti-vax messages but also the transphobic ones. The dev was also sharing a lot of Neo-Nazi shit too. But yeah, it's pretty much just Deka trying to fill his quota of useless Patreon posts.
