What is up with the MC constantly getting sexually assaulted in this game? Like seriously... I didn't want to hook up with Lauren, nor the evil friend/sister, and despite my refusal to join either of them at the club, I was forced to go anyway and subjected to unwanted sexual advances.

Then there is the fake tension generated by the refusal of characters who are busting to talk to each other literally refusing to speak to each other, ever, when even a few simple words would resolve all the bullshit non issues that crop up.

The writing is lazy, boring and makes even less sense than a porno script which is really saying something... Does the writer/writers get together and say... "Hmm, what is the least likely thing that could ever happen and that people would say and do with each other..." then be like... "That is exactly what this story needs"?????

The girls all look great, and I really want to like this story but honestly, it feels like the writer is saying a big fuck you every single time you make a choice and find out that it doesn't matter what you want because no matter what you pick the same outcome occurs anyway.

If you are gonna write a story with several choices of love interests make them optional and not forced upon the player.

Maybe just find some storylines that are so far beyond breaking suspension of disbelief that they literally piss off the players because of how much potential the game has yet fucks it up every step of the way...

And yes, the game does piss me off for some reason... An example of what made me feel like this was the idiotic evil redhead tries to make MC jealous by dating nerd boy storyline... But not because of what the writer intended... I know, the writer knows, and literally everyone else inside the story and out knows that red would never shag the nerd, she is repulsed by him. If we simply go off the relationship that has been established between Mc and red they both know that even if for some fucked up reason she did fuck the nerd, the MC would taunt her mercilessly for it... And in a playthrough where I do not care to bang her I would love that opportunity as the MC and Red would avoid that fate like a Catholic priest avoids the choirgirls

And finally the nice friend/sister story with the constant fucking about ... I know that she wants an answer and I want to give her an answr, but fuck it, I am not gonna allow myself to give her an answer that we both know and both want and both have but I want to fucking delay it for no good fucking reason.

I agree with a couple things you said but you should really really read up more through this thread as the author for this game recently passed away and the Vn world has lost a legend. We all wish he could still be with us and able to go out into the real world. As my father used to say think before you speak.. in this case its read before you speak.

I think I'm onboard with about 70% of what you said, but I do think you're a little harsh.

1. To the Devs credit, they acknowledge a lot of shortcomings from the story. I think that they took on an ambitious project, and learned a lot of hard lessons along the way. One of the areas that they want to focus most heavily on in their next game is giving the choices more impact. DH is fairly linear, and the choices are limited and/or inconsequential. The devs are exploring alternative game engines that will allow them more flexibility. I would strongly encourage you to join their discord, the dev team is very involved over there and answers a lot of questions. Of all the creators I subscribe to, I think they are easily the most responsive.

2. Regarding Tamara, the sister you don't like. I'm fully there with you. I wish that my MC could have told her to fuck off permanently early on. I don't feel like her redemption was ever earned, she just suddenly started to become nice once she started to get fucked. I would have had nothing to do with her. But two big things: 1) this isn't "our" story, it's the MC's. Love-Joint had a vision for where they wanted the story to go, and a core love interest. We as players never had agency over that. 2) The team at LJ has said that in future games all sexual relationships will be optional- I think that will go a long way to cleaning up some of the problems from DH, because there were definitely relationships that felt forced to me...but I wouldn't go as far as to say sexual assault.

I recently opened up episode 5 I believe and got a small message in the bottom left corner that said something along the lines of: "Sadly Palmer has passed away, click here to to read a post" or something.

Since it was in the game itself I figured it was legit and clicked on it, but it did nothing but close the game. I figured it would open a window to a post about it but nothing happened.

Upon other openings of the game I never saw the message again.

I have also checked here and on their webpage and patreon but no mention of it anywhere.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or notice like I did?

That is true for me too... For me, the first game i ever got here was Play with us! i was sad when we never got PWU 3 but then i found this game.

I was always a player of hentai vn's but for some years I stopped playing those kind of games. Palmer's game brought me back in to the hentai/sex games again with such quality and story telling. I'm happy that, every month i could do it, i supported him on patreon.

You know, I had forgotten about that. I'll be honest that when I played the scene I read the MC as halfheartedly trying to dissuaded Tamara, but if the genders were reversed it would be a much bigger deal. Sometimes it's best to not overthink things and I assume that the Devs were not trying to make Tamara a predator, but I can't sit here and say that you're wrong. But more importantly, it does play into her character as just a shit person. If Johanna had done it, it would be easier to brush aside your concerns as something the Devs didn't intend; but Tamara is the kind of person who doesn't give a shit about another person's feelings so she might actually go ahead and do something against your will. It's definitely something that we all need to be more aware of and careful about. While I think the Devs were trying to convey a consensual situation between dominant and submissive personalities, if you as the player do not like Tamara your read on it could be 180 degrees different- and that's a problem.

But you don't need to do much to convince me, I never liked her anyway.
