Aren't I locking myself of other paths if I agree to Lauren's question of "Are we dating or not" ?
mc can fuck freely all girls and their teacher as you'd know if you had played dfd.

in the end he needs to choose with whom he spends rest of his life. there is no canonical ending so whatever is your choice is as much canon as any other choice.

Alright, I finished the game, and even dabbled with the editor to make a few different choices for the last few episodes, and I have to say that the last 5 of them were quite disappointing. Also this game perfectly encapsulates the illusion of choice.

DrMosley was one of the worst written character I've ever encountered in the probably hundred or so game I've played on this website over the years. Dennis was unironically one of the best. But it's still incredibly annoying how you are presented choices regarding these two characters, and it literally does not matter at all, or matters very little. So many times you'd think you'd be offered a choice, but no, you don't even get a prompt to choose because it was already decided how the scene was going to play out.

The game is like 80 to 90% kinetic novel, the little choice you have, is just to decide if you want to have sex with someone or not.

You're surprised that a game on a porn site has choices to wanting to have sex with a character or not? I do agree with you about some of what you said. But, come on man! This is a porn game. What did you expect? Someone to save Dennis' Life? Not going to happen. Granted, I thought there could be a Dennis' Revenge game, before he died.

I'm not sure you understood my point correctly. There are plenty of games where your choices matter, which is clearly not the case in this game, hence why I said the "illusion of choice". Choosing whether to have sex with someone or not is not a choice. Having to choose between 2 characters knowing full well that you'll never see the other is somewhat of a choice. Deciding wether you want to let one group of 5 characters die or another group of 5 chartacters die is a real, hard choice with real consequences.

Obviously I'm throwing random examples out there, but surely you must get my point. The story must change according to your decisions, that's what real choices are, and it's not the case at all in this game. whatever you do, whatever choices you click on, you still end up going to school, you still end up on the yatch, you still end up on the mountain, you still end up taking the olympics tryouts. All that changes is whose render is next to yours and a few texts.

I would give ample example of games where your choices really matter, harem or non-harem, but I believe the rule of not naming other people's games in a game's thread is still valid on the forums.

Oh no. I get exactly what your saying. And your choices in this game really only counts towards who joins you in the end. I ended up with the sisters, and the ex-girlfriend in my play-through. It is, as you said, more of a kenetic novel than most games I've played. I'm just pointing out that you seem to complain about the choices to have sex or not in a porn game, on a porn game site, is kind of funny.
I, too, like games where the choices matter a lot more than games like this. But that doesn't mean that these types of games are inherently bad to play. I see it as the Dev wants to have a set plot, set direction for that plot, and a set narrative that he/she/they want to convey. Much like their new game, it seems to be along the same guidelines as this one. Not as fun as some others I could also name. But fun in its own right.

Last time I finished my adventure with Double Homework on ep 11, more than 2,5 years ago. Came back to it recently and it was worth it.
The engine itself is kinda annoying to use (or maybe I'm just spoiled by renpy). Unskippable fade ins/outs are irritating. Skipping is also very crude.
Plot is good, can keep you interested and leave wanting for more. Graphics are great, even compared to today's releases.
There are some flaws for sure, but I don't think they're worth discussing over, considering Palmer's death. Generally I'm just sad that he won't grace us with his next projects, since with tech and quaility in the business going up, I'm sure it would be great.

Epilogues on the other hand (as far as I know produced already after Palmer's death?) are... well, disappointment. Actually, I think I would rather not play epilogue 1 at all and just leave the ending to my imagination.

TL;DR If you're wondering if this game is worth playing, the answer is yes.

The story went downhill after Palmer's death, I stopped at 18 and did not feel like finishing it.

Don't want to get too deep into this just wanted to throw in a thought for inspiration.
I'd argue, if all a choice achieves, is to make you think about how you want your character to react in a scene, then that's already more engaging than not having a choice at all. That's already a consequence of having a choice, even if all the choices eventually lead to the same outcome.
On top of that often the dialogue also changes, and that alone can make the characters and their relationships feel different.

Many many stories are much more about how things are going to happen, instead of what's going to happen. In a basic story you know the hero is going to overcome the antagonist, you want to see how it's done.

Anyways don't want to ramble on for too long, I just find it easier to enjoy these kinds of games if you care less about consequences and end result and more about shaping the characters and their relationships.

One question, brothers: I'm playing the official online version, and before starting the episode I entered the cheat code. Thing is: If I stop playing mid-episode and reload my save when opening the game again, will the activated cheat still be valid?

should be. only cheat i used was to see other contents on update (not insane enuf to replay whole game everytime to get choice right for path b or c or d etc).
