I'm not sure you understood my point correctly. There are plenty of games where your choices matter, which is clearly not the case in this game, hence why I said the "illusion of choice". Choosing whether to have sex with someone or not is not a choice. Having to choose between 2 characters knowing full well that you'll never see the other is somewhat of a choice. Deciding wether you want to let one group of 5 characters die or another group of 5 chartacters die is a real, hard choice with real consequences.
Obviously I'm throwing random examples out there, but surely you must get my point. The story must change according to your decisions, that's what real choices are, and it's not the case at all in this game. whatever you do, whatever choices you click on, you still end up going to school, you still end up on the yatch, you still end up on the mountain, you still end up taking the olympics tryouts. All that changes is whose render is next to yours and a few texts.
I would give ample example of games where your choices really matter, harem or non-harem, but I believe the rule of not naming other people's games in a game's thread is still valid on the forums.
