well no since orig. dev kicked the bucket. and also due patreon which wants that femmes look 18+ (mc's roomies/sisters and princess could have passed as 16 years old).

well yes and low rating is mostly due engine they use (better than dfd but much worse than in shs). if this had been renpy game then rating would been 4 stars.

The way that these games are hard episodic makes them harder to play, causes the both the overall and specific episode quality to be inconsistent and makes the story railroaded in ways that some people may not like that's why the rating is lower... not to mention the elephant in the room around palmers death. before 2021 the game had a MUCH higher rating and a big fan following, but without him it just wasn't as good and many people could tell. That said a 3.5 rating is still very good and almost all of palmers works have some of the best stories on this website they just don't have excellent gameplay and are very slow burns in getting to the explicit stuff. If you gave someone a romance novel when you were looking for a porno movie you could understand if not everyone would be happy with that and the rating reflects that

maybe it was in plans but got scrapped.
that was style in dfd and dh aka ep ended on cliffhanger, much less in shs.
still their supporters like that.
No, I mean literally harder to play as in data transfering/beteween episodes, and trying to get scenes you've missed/other paths etc. Cliff hangers were often letdowns iirc, but there were some real good ones too, the episodic story updates beat the bare minimum updates with 5-10 CGs/renders that other games usually do now, it just was an annoying DRM filled online game engine that is a bit annoying.
