There were a few things I found odd about that game, firstly, it's commonly referred to as "daughter for dessert" but in one of the chapters it was confirmed to mean Dessert for Dinner and I'm not sure which was the correct one.still is daughter for dessert even patreon friendly version(s) say that amanda is childhoodfriend or some other crap.
Secondly, yes that is odd, but there is a reason for it. It's to avoid people from being "turned off" by the thought of the main character fucking the daughter he adopted and who according to the story is probably his biological daughter too (there was a plot inconsistency between the first chapter and one of the last chapters where in the first he said Lanie never told him who the father was but, in one of the later chapters, it was confirmed that he was likely the only guy she was having sex with prior to the pregnancy). It should be noted that both the first and second scenes with Amanda are unavoidable, I have absolutely no idea why they did that, but the same could be said about Joanna and Tamara's scenes, though those are nowhere near as weird as the DFD ones with Amanda since there's no confirmation of any blood relation and it isn't even hinted at, unlike in DFD.
They did a similar thing with Play With Us! [Ep.2] where Anna was supposed to be the biological sister, as confirmed by episode 1 but they changed her to his stepsister to prevent people from switching the damn game off and re-added it as an optional cheat code (Which I consider canon btw since it's the one that is consistent with the ending of the first game). In DFD we got the custom relationship system. We all know what they are to each other, but we don't have to say it. Personally I like plot consistency (Which DFD really struggled with sometimes), so I changed it to what it actually was, it was a bit annoying that prior to episode 11 I had to manually change the name (of the MC) and relationships every damn time because of the fact that DFD's engine was complete ass (Not to mention the fact that it auto-changed the Diner's name too).
I'd say just deal with it, it's nice to have the choice but it does seem pointless since the plot makes it painstakingly obvious what their relationship actually is (Father-daughter, in case it wasn't obvious enough).
I could get into a long thing about why I don't think the MC and the sisters are related, but I won't, since I don't want to step on any one's fantasies.
I can't believe that I just wrote a damn essay about a porn game. I'll... go take a seat now.
