Actually, elf is more famous for their netorare games (like Gatenkei which some consider the best ntr game ever made) than netori. They also made the legendary Yu-No, which inspired games and anime like Steins;Gate, Higurashi, etc.
I know. I think I only know Yu-no of them that has an unavoidable netorare since the other game you're talking about if I'm not mistaken you play as the one who steals the girl, I mean netori xd. At least in vndb he is listed as the protagonist of the three games in the saga. And in all the other elf games I know you are the one who steals the girl (like this same doukyusei, doukyusei 2, kakyuusei 2, etc). The problem elf had was making heroines not 'pure' in such a themed game. But I don't understand what they expected when elf always did that from the beginning like in this game, where the plot is from a 1992 game and many of the heroines were already in a relationship lol.

good game, really like elf art
the only bad thing is the few h scenes, with this art it needed more scenes

Really curious why they decided to remake and actually translated a game first released from 1999 instead of recent titles.

Either way, hope it does well enough to warrant more english-translated titles from them. Not that I'm one to talk with me being here. Hopefully no surprise tearjerkers in this one.

Is this true?

This release is based on the 2021 remake of Doukyuusei which in turn is based on the Windows remake(1999-08-27). The script has been drastically rewritten compared to the original PC-98 release(1992-12-17). This includes extensive revisions to the scenario, removing and cutting short some H-scenes, altering characters’ personalities and physical parameters and changing endings. A lot of potentially sensitive lines were removed or softened, with the stated reason being to fit the ethics of the time and for removal of “ethically problematic parts”. Examples include heavily cutting down on sexual jokes and alcohol references, and changing the endings for the heroines to be more light-hearted than the original.

Yes.

TLDR this is a censored Remake Version of original Japanese game (1999). Censorship was done by devs, not translating company. Don't expect any restoration patches since script was also rewritten, thus it's not about restoring cut content but replacing it on original, which is really hard to do.

Yeah, I thought it was censored in English release first, but after closer inspection, it seems it was already censored in Japanese 2021 remake.
But at least they left some h-scenes unlike Yu-No.

Its sad to read about the censorship... But about the endings, is it a big difference compared to the old ones? Because the older endings seems to be underwhelming.

I heard some complaint from the people playing the original game. Tho my question still the same, is it a good game for people for didn't know the original story?

Afaik, the was itself a remake of the original which was released . You can see that in the vndb description of the releases. This 2021/2022 version (both and ) is based on the 1999 remake, so in that sense, it's a re-remake. Most of the script changes and H-scene cuts already took place in the 1999 remake, but I think they made further "revisions" to some of the lines (not the H-content afaik) in the 2022 version "for removal of ethically problematic parts" as they like to state it. In any case, it's just sad to see all this pandering about ethics and shit in a japanese H-game, like come on, there's worse that we have seen.

Also the comparison screenshot that was shared compared the 1992 and 1999 versions btw.

So, I've questions regarding the gameplay as I'm kinda confused.
For starters do I only get to interact with someone only when they have stars on specific dates?
Some characters seem to have very few star events but their heart counts seem too high to be able to max it within that frame. Any suggestions?
Some characters still show up on map with exclamation marks even when there's no star on the date but talking and interacting with them seems to repeat the same conversation trees without any progress, what do?
Doing one of the quiz in one of the question mark houses revealed that something saucy happens in the car park with no indication of when, do I have to check it every hour of the day to get it? Is there a hint?
Honestly I'm confused on the whole sandbox elements and how to earn money (other than doing quiz or finding random amount lying around on places)...

More questions I forgot to ask:
Do I have to wrap up everything within the 3 weeks?
How many characters do I get to hit it off at once before getting caught, as in how further do I get to progress to certain characters at once? I know the story ends with one character btw, so that's not my question.

So, 2 questions: Is there a way to play it windowed instead of fullscreen? I cant find the option. Also whats the difference between classic and easy mode?
Seem like someone already answer the windowed, so i will answer the difference of classic and easy mode

In classic mode, you have practically no indication where the heroines may be at first. You have to learn their schedules and explore the map. Trying to enter a place takes up time, so just randomly entering areas to check won’t work out well. In Easy Mode, it gives an indicator on the map as to where the heroine is. What’s even easier is that you can just click a button and skip ahead to their next event if you’ve met the requirements.

So as a porn game its worthless then?
Sort of. It's more of a romance heavy "game" with some mild h-scenes scattered here and there. Some heroine's don't even have proper h-scenes at all. Also you get to finish a run with one heroine that you chose to progress further and get a accompanying happy ending. It's definitely more of a lovey dovey romance piece with very few hardcore themes and scenes.
Also because they the censorship and some contents being shortened some heroines got the short end of the stick. Some of them just have really low number of scenes, as in scenes in general not just h scenes. So it feels very unfulfilling depending on your choice of partner since you only get to really pursue one heroine till the end.
