Nice little game you got there with an interesting approach. Normally you'd think you're the psychologist, but this time you're actually the patient. It's probably not really new, but at least it's feels different.
The renders are nice, so far the girls are cute and not your ordinary models that you see in every other game and above all they're unique ones different looks. Even if there's not a whole lot of content at the moment the story seems interesting and contrary to other games it's not a simple yes/no path, but depending on what you choose can come to a similar situation, but on a different way.

I gave 'er a quick whirl, and I mean quick. I thought there would've been more in 0.41, but I guess I should be use to version numbers meaning very little. I do like the premise, and this obviously can be very good. I'll let this one brew for a bit longer before revisiting. Good luck and I hope to see amazing things from you and this game!
Thank you for giving our story a try.

If it helps you plan your intervals, we're using semantic versioning in our software, v.X.Y.Z

So anytime there is a major incompatible change in the code, ie: when we go to beta, we will increment X.
For additions to existing versions like new scenes, etc, we increment Y.
For bug fixes or variants we increment Z.

This means that with any new version you can simply merge the files with your existing download. So as long as they are all v0.Y.Z, you can combine the two downloads to retain your saves, etc. So if you prefer more robust updates then by all means, wait till v0.9.1 or v0.10.1 and merge it with your current download. All of your saves and choices should be retained.

We appreciate you taking the time to try our story.

For certain, we don't want you to come to a dialogue choice and think "Shit, I better say the right thing or I am not going to get a reward.", we want you to come to a dialogue choice and think "Damn, how is this going to play out if I say/do this?"

One thing that'll be nice is that you can pick and choose which ones to do. If you don't like say Monica then just do the ones that you do like and not touch the ones that you don't like.

For me I usually don't play female protagonist's mostly because 90% of them are nothing more then molestation games where you go around getting them molested and what not by every Tom Dick and ugly fat bastard in the game and most of the stuff is rigged to get them molested and what not. Go to this guy and get them molested go to this one and do this and this one and do that oh look a ugly fat bastard you know what happens now.

There is the option to short-circuit a story line you aren't interested in. These dialogue choices will be very clear and choosing them will close out a romantic interest. (ie. In Monica's first chapter you can choose not to go out with her. The idea is that once three kill switches have been flipped in subsequent scenes, that character's story will be terminated.)

We don't want to force people through stories with characters you find unattractive or uninteresting.

Jesus, 0.4 and only 15 minutes? I thought 0.4 meant about 40% done
would be smart of you to take a look at the day the thread was created before taking conclusions based on your preconceptions, if you did you would know that the game is in development for less than a month, and the dev has no obligation to follow some sort of canonical numbering of the versions that you think is the right one

@RomanHume, I know you won't want to hear this and it will drive you up the wall, but as someone who hasn't played this yet, the original title used to always get me to click on the topic despite not downloading it yet. This latest click was just to see what kind of madness would be associated with the new title.

Just a little feedback.

I like this game, the name change is a good idea. I wonder if Roger is going to get some physical therapy from the good doctor.
We won't say no to anything this early in development. =)

I'll try to take this one in pieces...
@RomanHume, I know you won't want to hear this
Not true, we want to hear the opinions of everyone interested in our game, good comments or bad.

@RomanHumeand it will drive you up the wall,
Nonsense. Nothing said here will drive us up a wall. We take all feedback and review it judiciously. Any feedback that is valid and valuable, we take to heart and use it in the development of our project.

@RomanHumebut as someone who hasn't played this yet,
You should, and then you can tell us what you think about the story so far.

Is your suggestion that we go back to a generic title and that will increase views? I'm not real clear on this point.

In any case, thank you for taking the time to giving us some input.[/QUOTE]

Not necessarily a generic one, but I don't find the one really fitting myself. If you wanna name it after a character it should probably be the main character, but something with patient <insert something> wouldn't be too bad, feels more natural and is shorter.

It seems to me, from what I understand, the MC changes with each chapter, with the doctor gluing it all together. Maybe a title such as Dr Amana's Patients might work alright?

Honestly, I like the new name. And if there are chapters, and with the different chapters we are going to have different patients as @Harlequin1229 is suggesting, then I think the title of the game is perfect! If you wanted to add a subtitle to each chapter to deliniate the different patients, cool. But I have been 'watching' this thread for a while, and I didn't download and try the game until the title did change. I can't explain why, but something about it perked my interest.

This is exactly the case. We needed a title whose subtitle would evolve with additional games but which shared a unified theme.

This is definitely the end goal. We would like this to be the first in an entire series, each with a new patient and theme of their own. We are starting with the mid-life crisis type corporate executive. But we have outlines for other patients, 002, 003, etc. So far we've been brainstorming a police officer, school teacher, politician, maybe a special agent or spy. That is really one of the things we loved about the format, the limitless possibilities for new stories.

It is also one of the driving factors in getting this one done. We don't want production of this first game to take two or three years. Our goal is to be in beta by mid-year, and hopefully be complete by year-end so we can move on the next tale.

A lot of that progress is going to depend on how fast we can acquire some hardware upgrades. Right now our single strongest card is a GTX 1070, which is great. But we only have one and Iray-photoreal renders take time. This is why a lot of the scenes are sparse when it comes to background and the lighting effects are intentionally simple. Improved renders is definitely top three goal when we get to beta.
