This is definitely the end goal. We would like this to be the first in an entire series, each with a new patient and theme of their own. We are starting with the mid-life crisis type corporate executive. But we have outlines for other patients, 002, 003, etc. So far we've been brainstorming a police officer, school teacher, politician, maybe a special agent or spy. That is really one of the things we loved about the format, the limitless possibilities for new stories.
It is also one of the driving factors in getting this one done. We don't want production of this first game to take two or three years. Our goal is to be in beta by mid-year, and hopefully be complete by year-end so we can move on the next tale.
A lot of that progress is going to depend on how fast we can acquire some hardware upgrades. Right now our single strongest card is a GTX 1070, which is great. But we only have one and Iray-photoreal renders take time. This is why a lot of the scenes are sparse when it comes to background and the lighting effects are intentionally simple. Improved renders is definitely top three goal when we get to beta.
Exactly so. Amana was a kitchen appliance brand from the 1970s United States. It evokes nothing horny or fun.Is your suggestion that we go back to a generic title and that will increase views? I'm not real clear on this point.
In any case, thank you for taking the time to giving us some input.
Each chapter will be a story unto itself. We intend to do little cameos and cross over characters from the previous stories, but at the end of the day, file size and compatibility will make individualizing them more practical. Are you building a framework that will include all the games (choose your patient), or is each chapter going to be a separate game in itself?
Ok, so I said we would think about this and we have....extensively. We have pretty much come to the conclusion that there is too much potential here to ignore. It's not an idea we would have come up with on our own but the more we talk about it, the more drama we think we can milk from this story with it. So the definitive answer to your question will now be, yes, there will be pregnancy stuff.I think it is time for me now... to ask the important question: Will there be impregnation/pregnancy themed stuff?
I liked it, certainly a different approach and well executed. It has potential to be something good.so guys - did you like this game?
thanks, then I have to play this game)I liked it, certainly a different approach and well executed. It has potential to be something good.
Awesome! This makes me happy.Ok, so I said we would think about this and we have....extensively. We have pretty much come to the conclusion that there is too much potential here to ignore. So here is the general idea, we are coding a mechanic that adds a random probability to the chances of a female character getting pregnant during a sex scene. This probability can be reduced or increased by the reader based on certain factors. These factors would be things like, is the female on the pill, did she take a morning after supplement, did you use a condom (Which means we now have to quadruple the number of renders for all of the sex scenes to include with condoms and without, finish in her or finish on her, but we feel like this is worth it.)
We still want to ensure the player has a strong influence on the situation though. So players who want to avoid the whole pregnancy angle will have options like wearing a condom or just blasting her back/stomach/whatever. And those who want to roll the dice can roll the dice.
Thank you for the suggestion and we will definitely give you and f95zone receive honorable mention in the credits for such a fantastic idea!
Sorry, bit after the fact. Was busy.Squark, I apologize that I did not see this before or respond. If I can, I just want to address a couple of your concerns.
The first, I'm curious where you draw the line of 'control' in a story. It's not that I'm discrediting what you're saying, I would just need to know what you consider 'no control' before I can agree or disagree that our story fits your definition. I'm sure it varies from person to person.
However, on point two, I can give that a rousing false. You do not have to fuck everything. We just want to make sure you have the option to fuck everything. We are including dialogue options that completely shut down romance with a character. This can not only change the story, but allow you to blow past dialogue and scenes with characters that you don't feel are interesting or attractive.
Now, one of the things we want in this story is proportion, that includes dongs. Giant magic penises are not part of our story (in fact it's something I generally hate in most adult fiction because shit just gets out of hand).
Now we know that this is a story about sexual escapades and encounters, but we very much don't want this to come off like a cheap porno. We are doing our best to write dialogue and sex scenes that not only flow naturally, but carry with it an aura of believability. (And if we stray to far from that, I would hope our readers call us out on it so we can course correct.)
We want the sexual scenes to arise from good characterization, dialogue and rationality. We don't want the sex to occur as a result of magic pills, magic penises or magic talismans. Story driven, that's the goal.
We hope you'll give us a chance, and if you do, we'd love your feedback!
Please update MAC link. Thank you.....
And what is exactly preventing them from developing 40% of a game in less than a month? People make full games (actual real games) in less than 72 hours in game jams, yet it's unconceivable for you to think that a developer could make 40% of a shitty porn game in a month? I'm starting to realize why every developer milks their patreon and stretches out their games over months and months if not years.would be smart of you to take a look at the day the thread was created before taking conclusions based on your preconceptions, if you did you would know that the game is in development for less than a month, and the dev has no obligation to follow some sort of canonical numbering of the versions that you think is the right one
YesThis is the game formerly known as "Patient", right?
