Don't know how i overlooked this, looking forward to seeing how the harem plays out for Roger, hopefully good things after the drama with his job.

So far to me, Nanami, Jane and Cassie characters stick out more, but the others are also good in their own way.
This is another area in which definitions have appeared to get blurry. Some people have taken "harem" to mean that all the lovers move into the same domicile and happily please Roger till the end of his days.

We just want to clarify that the harem-style ending ultimately means Roger is able to keep his relationships in tact indefinitely. So while some of the lovers may know about others, some of them won't. It just means that Roger can end the game with all of his sexual partners still sexually involved.

So while one or two of the girls will be ok with a "fuck-buddies-for-life" kind of relationship, others will remain blissfully unaware that they are not Roger's only paramour.

Just want to set the expectation so people are disappointed when Roger's house doesn't turn into a fuck-palace.

Right now the kink menu is set up but that content has actually been written yet. The tags in the OP correctly reflect the current kink content of the game.

The kinks presented in the menu are being worked on and will appear in future updates.

At the moment, the current version in the OP is the most up to date version. So while we'd like you to become a patron, I won't lie and say you'll get anything more than there is here if you do.

I'm a big fan of this game. The fact that every character basically has two story lines makes it very appealing. The possibility to switch between blue and red paths on the fly just makes it better. I feel almost liberated that I can choose the answer I want to give instead of the answer that I think leads most likely to a lewd scene or that is given in a walkthrough. Great stuff.
I find all of the characters intriguing so far. Right now I'm mostly interested in Emilys and Nanamis story. But of course I want to see where it goes with all the other characters.

We were very much inspired by games like Mass Effect and Tell Tale games. Games where decisions are important not because they lead to this reward or that, but because they can change the flavor a story takes.

Let's be real, good guys and bad guys both get laid. They just go about it differently. So really it's about, who do you want to be in this moment. And since the red and blue points are cumulative, you don't have to stick strictly to one path or the other. You can be predominately blue or red, and occasionally select a different answer if you feel the response is the most appropriate.

Vore is just a fetish about being swallowed. There is lots of monster vore creature vore people vore plant vore furniture vore. In them most of them it's just showing someone being swallowed by something. There is soft vore and then there is hard vore.

Thanks for the clarification, cool with that setup. Now i'm curious who will know about the others and who won't know.

I agree the definition gets blurry depending on the person, there's two other types i usually see pop up. For me, when i see harem listed on anything (Manga, Anime, VNs), i like to assume and hope it's along the lines of the protagonist having multiple lovers and they're all aware of each others and all fine being together with the protagonist in the story.
The other type (some call it a pseudo-harem) i seen is the protagonist dates and/or sleeps around with multiple girls during the story, but in the ending he must pick one girl or depending on the creator maybe get a three-way ending.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully everything should start flowing smoothly now.

As for streaming it's not my cup of tea but that type of stuff is popular with a lot of people. Plus people like seeing the creative process in action.

With some bug testers helping, it will relieve the stress of launches.

It looks like we're just going to do a series of wallpapers. This way there are no spoilers and dare say we can do some funky stuff with these girls that we can't justify in the story. So we'll see what this creative process yields.

Hi Roman, very interesting and well designed game. Congratz, it's not so common to see something well thought like this.
I love all the variety in the choices/paths, the characters, writing, and kinks. Regarding the last one: i like both cheating and ntr so I enbled both (if you ask me they should be on by default) and I intend to explore them in a dedicated playthrough. My question is: is there actually some content on that right now? In my only playthrough I didn't find any, but maybe it was just the wrong approach.

Just tried this game again today, and the search function doesnt really help much for specifics... so hopefully people dont mind me asking... especially if its been answered tons of times...

Did the game change drastically recently ? I had save files and version 0.09 stil on my PC, and this new one has compeltely different scenes, that I didnt remember, so I booted up the old one and indeed its different... The part with all 3 young girls seems the same... but the part with the boss Nanami was completely different...

Being dominant with her this time leads to sex in her office, a scene I never got in the old version... however being a submissive just stops at kissing... In the old version I dont remember how, but there was a part where you take Nanami home, and bang her there, you even have to replay the sex scenes at least 5 times before choosing to orgasm, or she thinks you suck... Did that scene get removed and is planned for later, or what happened ?
I know I'm late to respond and it appears others have already, but yes, we did a restart back in July/August of last year.

Short story long, we were working on the alpha, our video card blew out. It took several months to work up the funds for a replacement. We swapped out all of our hardware and upgraded our system, during which time we continued to do re-writes and improve our skill set.

When we finally got up and running again we discovered that our skill and level of quality and increased exponentially and we decided to start work on the beta.

In a nutshell that's where we are. Improved story, improved renders, improved infrastructure, overall, hopefully, a better game.

Some of the scenes that were in the old game have been replaced with larger, long scenes. The Nanami story we originally had planned got reworked with a stronger opening and heavier dialogue. Our next update will be a new Nanami chapter much different than the one you've previously described, but we think many times better.

We appreciate you coming back and checking on us, and we hope that as we move forward you continue to enjoy our work.

We really appreciate you checking our game and very much enjoy reading feedback, good and bad.

At the moment the "kinks" menu is in there in anticipation of that content. None of it at this point actually exists in the game (we know that's a disappointment but we'll get there, we promise).

In the meantime, the tags in the OP currently reflect the existing content and as that other stuff makes its way into the story we'll update those tags and let people know that content has finally arrived. We have a lot of the story thought out well ahead of time, so we needed to make sure the infrastructure was already in place to avoid having to do any bug-fixes or patches when we finally introduce it.

All that stuff will arrive, we just need to wait until the story is ready for it. It's gotta make sense in the context of what's happening so that it doesn't come off as gratuitous.

Well there isn't really a point for a walk through anyway simply because you pick red and stay with red or pick blue and stay with blue.

If you pick red and then do nothing but blue responses you'll still be on the red path and will still get the red pictures regardless of what blue responses that you pick.

are you talking for each character or overall?
The red and blue paths are independent for each character. For example, you can go red path with Jane and Blue path with Amanda or vice versa. Each character's story is dependent on their own path.

But if you played through only picking red choices, and then played through again picking only blue choices, you would in effect see all of the available content.

As a Patron (different alias, btw - the one I use there was already taken at this site), I once again enjoyed the latest installment's interplay between personalities which kept my disbelief suspended. I'm a fan and supporter of MrDots' productions and the slow burn vs faster flame of different characters and chosen paths there also fits with the corresponding personalities involved. Guess that's becoming my preferred style for these types of games vs the Milfy City everthing-is-possible-immediately structure ... not taking anything away from that game - it's entertaining in an adults-only manner, but I really don't feel emotionally or critically engaged with the characters terribly much.

Amanda's kissing scene and agreement for the MC to take her school-browsing seemed slightly far-fetched, but the emphases on her sheltered-but-aware nature and her emotional neglect at home made those decisions work reasonably, I feel. It does feel manipulative and even semi-abusive, but we're happily dealing with escapist fiction here so can let that slide a bit and just understand those impacts to the story and respective characters. These are obvious setups, but I won't care if the execution of how she warms up to the MC continues to be based on plausible context and even his knowing/real-world manipulations. The relationship with her could be sweet, hot and/or devastating, of course: I look forward to see how the possibilities work out for players.

BTW, I am just getting back to this topic and haven't fully caught up: could you use (free) copy/proof help? I understand that your team refactored much of the code and your workflow, but given the numerous typos and layer issues from which to learn, I wondered if some volunteer help might be acceptable at this stage in your game development growth.

And, I have a Discord link at Patreon but it goes nowhere - was the server not setup, perhaps?

Amanda is one of the more challenging characters to write for. We want that innocent babe-in-the-woods feel, but we also don't want to wait two years into development to get anywhere with her. We felt her already having a private crush on the MC would help to facilitate a little bit of justified acceleration, but we're still trying to handle it with tact.

Appreciate all the feedback though. This is a solid analysis!

Before I can answer that question I'd need to know how comfortable you are with Git. We're actually working on setting up a script repository for people who want to volunteer help with translations and proofing in exchange for mention in the in game credits. But we want to keep the versions and edits clean and manageable and Git is our go to.

Teaser Scene
This week's teaser is actually a refactored version of one we had done previously. This one has been updated with our new image layer processes and benefits from improved detail, lighting and composition. You can check out the original version and compare for yourself.

Weekly Progress
A lot has been happening this week. You can find all the details below.

Story Progress: Still hard at work on the next Nanami chapter. This one has kind of gotten away from us in the second draft. By which I mean this installment was originally a lot smaller but continues to grow as the final draft is coming around. We've taken great efforts to strengthen the dialogue and plot, as well as the sex scenes themselves (of which there are two possible, both of which can be attainable on a single playthrough).

Redundancy and VCS: We've been so hardcore with trying to push up development that we back slid on some basic development fundamentals. So we spent part of this week correcting those oversights. We've now implemented a full offsite backup process that updates automatically and daily.

This way if the worst happens and our system catches fire and nothing is recoverable, we can have the project back up and running within 48 hours in another location. It's a feature we hope we never need but worth the time and money to have in place.

We also spent some time going back and cleaning up our git branches. For those who don't know, Git is a version control system that keeps the development processes clean and efficient. To that end, we did a little rebasing and merging as well as clearing out old commits and centralizing all of the independent indexes into a single location. So now all work is being pushed and fetched from a single server which will help keep me and Fecal on the same page.

Back peddling: Amanda's last chapter revealed a few possible complications and instabilities with the layering system and the way we were using it. The short list of problems is incorrect layers mixing, imperfect blending, and position off setting.
One of the original goals of the layering system was the decrease in file size. And an increase in visual options and variety.

But recent policy changes on our end have made us rethink how we're going to handle layers going forward.
As we were putting together the short Amanda update we realized that it is absurd that by the time we put it together, players are going to have to re-download half a gig's worth of game just to see a few dozen megs worth of content. And with all the tools available to crack open a renpy game and get at the guts, it just started making less and less sense to archive and hide files in the game.

So going forward, we're going to release the game unarchived. Patrons can download the entire game, compiled and ready to play. Or, they will have the option to download only the new content (a considerably smaller file) and merge it with the version they already have on their local machine.

We will continue to use the webp format because that does save a considerable amount of size. But layers will be larger and rendered out at the full resolution. On the backend, this means we can save a few hours each week not having to slice images and configure the x,y coordinates in renpy. We can just swap whole layers at the origin and save a few hours each week.
Having the whole layer also means we avoid blending issues and layers peeking out from behind other layers. It will make for a much cleaner visual experience. And while it will re-inflate the file size a bit, patrons being able to download just the new content, means you still have a net gain where reduced download time is concerned.

Streaming Poll:
It looks like we've settled on Jane for next Wednesday's stream. So we'll be dropping another 48 hour poll here in a bit to determine a setting. After that we'll be ready to go.

What's Next
We continue to work. We have a lot left to do on Nanami's update. A lot of images to build and render and a few animations to build out. This next update should be a real crowd pleaser.
Some of the things you can look forward to in the next update are:
  • Forward movement in the Nanami/Roger/Arthur plot
  • Strip Clubs
  • Prostitutes
  • Hand jobs
  • Blow jobs

I'd estimate we're about a third of the way through development, but it's hands down the largest update we've put together yet. So we're begging for a little patience.

We're already over 1000 lines of code, and that's just dialogue and choices. So after we build and integrate all the images and animations, it should be very sizeable indeed.

Our tentative goal is to have this ready in the next couple of weeks. But that means we have to drive hard. Till then, thank you for your continued support! We love working for you and appreciate you helping us do this kind of work!

Yeah, that was in the back of my mind as well, thanks - as you noted, a teeny bit more setup there might have helped solidify that point even more. I think the poolside chat they had provided a good opportunity for a random - but minor - observation of the MC witnessing Amanda's secret crush coming out in either (intended as confidential) conversation/chats with her friends (as one idea) that he accidentally overhears or their physically crossing each other up in some fashion where she essentially gets all tongue-tied and we see physical symptoms of the depth of crush she harbors, etc. But, yes: I did pick up on your clues and that was helpful towards suspending disbelief in the latest installment.

And, let it be said: not many adults-only creatives care about these aspects of their stories and characters, so continued kudos to you for considering how your choices help to set up the players for following one path or another without questioning whether it made sense or not.

Honestly, that's completely obvious (in a constructive+positive way) and partly why I said the follow-through of how they continue to merge is what I'm still looking forward to experience; I also expect possible tragic impacts from poor choices on the player's part, given her vulnerabilities and the inherent power imbalance you've established! That could really add a dimension to parts of the work which involve her interactions, in some respects.

Before I can answer that question I'd need to know how comfortable you are with Git. I see nothing wrong with the MC taking Amanda school browsing. I have seen it done in other games like teachers pet and it worked great in that one it's a pity the DEV stopped working on it.

Most people are probably like me and that is that I almost never keep any files from games other then the save files unless I blotted out a lot of male faces in them then I'll keep the image folder just so I don't have to redo it all again.
