Ok, the update is great, well written, good story and exciting enough. Though that's my problem with this game: I first tried it and wrote here in March 24, 2019, now almost 2 years later there has been what? 2 chapters added? It's spread too thin. It's a pity 'cause the game has everything as I've already mentioned, but the initial design of completely different chapters for every character depending on the path was insane, and an obvious recipe for disaster. Now it seems (I haven't completed the second path) that the general chapter is the same, with variations, which seems wiser, although, what's with the MC characterizazion? I don't know how much work does it take to render those variants but it seems unnecessary at this point. Maybe it's just me, but I'm willing to close an eye for a lot of things if the game is entertaining and has a well written story to tell. I want more of that and less of details which might add to a finished product or that adds to replayability, I would like a "main story" to play thrugh first, and then worrying about replaying it with some changes. At this pace is more of a struggle.
Anyway keep it up, it was only my rant
Now if I may be permitted to rant back a little.
If you had been keeping up with development you'd know that since your post in 2019 I have lost 100% of my team. Which means where originally I was only required to write story, I was now in the unenviable position of having to learn both Daz and Renpy simultaneously while at the same time learning 3D art for the first time in my life.
I had loads of old code to clean up and needed to figure out a way to automate as much of the workload as possible so that going forward I could produce more work faster. I need to address the issue of saves breaking between releases and create a more stabile gui that doesn't cause exception errors (By the way, I've achieved pretty much all of that since your post in 2019)
The summer of 2020 was spent riding out a pandemic and writing a python script that uses my own personal short hand to encode all of my story into Renpy so that I no longer have to do any of the coding. That alone removed 1/3 of the workload. Now my only job on this game is to write story and make pictures (as of about November of last year when everything was finally completed, tested and implemented). I stream myself doing these things just about every single day.
Forgive my lack of sympathy for your rant because I weekly...hell almost daily post here and publicly on patreon the stage of development, where we're at, what we're doing, what challenges I'm facing, and the obstacles and hurdles we're trying to overcome and have been doing so since your original post in 2019. There hasn't been a day gone by in the last two years where I haven't touched on some part of this game every single day.
So after all the struggle, and all the drive to keep this game going and to get it where it is, I have zero sympathy for people who want to roll up in here like a tourist every few years and tell me "what they'd like" when they aren't paying for any of it.
Also, if you watched one of my daily live streams (or even one of the recordings) you'd know that adding extra skin tones and clothes takes just about zero time. A few seconds to slap on a new material and click save, and an extra five to ten minutes in render time. So it's low hanging fruit that gives the players additional options without adding to production time.
Anyway, thanks for playing. That was only
my rant.
