In this case I think is someone cheating on you, because there say "you want your wife or lover be caught cheating on you?"
Forum discussions have led us to believe that a few story arcs we had in mind are in fact not NTR, or are depending on who you ask. Either way, going forward we're going to separate NTR from infidelity. Hopefully that'll help create some clarity. Originally though, our interpretation was the same as what you posted here. Cheers mate.
The game is good, the pregnancy and ntr implementations are well recieved. Waiting for the next update.
And we'll be incredibly excited to deliver it. Believe me, the story is always brewing and the best moment for us is when people play it and let us know what they think. Salute!
NTR commonly stands for the japanese term "netorare" or very rarely "netori", however it is very often misused.
Netorare literally means to have your partner stolen away from you, as opposed to netori, where you are the one doing the stealing. While NTR usually goes hand in hand with cheating, they are not the same. For example, your partner cheating on you once, but staying with you is not netorare. Neither would your wife cheating on you after finding out that you have been cheating on her be considered netorare. That's why there are separate tags for cheating and NTR.
Having said that, the whole NTR thing should burn in hell
Did you ever play Big Brother? Is what happened with Eric considered NTR by your definition? I'm genuinely trying to understand so that we can properly label parts of our story. That was my first brush with what everyone said was NTR. Prior to that I had never even heard of the term.
We are going to treat infidelity as a separate thing going forward, but we'd still like to know if some of the other shit we've planned counts as NTR. Whether it's NTR or not, players can still opt out of it as it may be pushing the limit. Still, it's good info to have. Thanks for the enlightenment! Cheers!
Thanks a lot, took me a while to figure out where i was suppose to look. ^_^ The terminal pointed it out that was in the game folder while, like a noob i'm, i was looking into the system files. :3
I love this OS, you can do so many things with the terminal.
No need to do anything, i just had to "chmod +x" "DAST001.sh" and "DAST001" via terminal. ^_^
It seems "chmod +x <filename>" command makes the script inside a file to run when you open it. I guess is like making a ".bat" file in windows, you just have to use that command also after saving the file. That's my guess :3
"chmod +x" adds the executable flag to a file (for all users). For security reasons files are usually not executable by everyone, or at all, on a linux system.
@RomanHume The only way to handle this reliably in a platform independent way would be to use an installer as windows and linux handle file/folder permissions/attributes differently. Most of the time however people just put a big "README LINUX USERS.txt" or something like that in the game folder and tell users to run the command.
I'm exceptionally glad you two speak the same language cause I'm lost.
I'll always admit when I don't know something, and while I have a desire to one day learn Linux, I'm not there yet.
I'm happy to include a README LINUX USERS.txt file, but I don't have the understanding to know what should go in it.
If someone is willing to share that information or create the file, we'll be happy to include it and credit you. Either way, glad you got it working mate! Cheers!
First, a bit of praise:
1. I love this game. I love the characters and the way you're developing them.
Thank you! We're real glad that you're enjoying it thus far.
Now, three criticisms:
1. The update was far too short. I know others have said this before me, so I won't belabor the point.
Fair enough, and I'm sure by now you've read some of my responses on why this is, so I won't beat the dead horse either. Hopefully, in another six months or so we'll have enough support to work on it full time and we can do larger updates more consistently. We do have a bunch of time off with office closures in December though, so we're hoping the next update will be more substantial.
2. I dislike not being able to rename Roger. That's just my thing, personally...but I doubt I'm the only one.
This does come up from time to time and in case you've missed a previous reply I'll recap a little. First, we wanted to give Roger a name and a personality because our aim is to make this part of a series in which the main character changes from one game to the next. Some of the characters Roger interacts with in his story may get their own game on day, in which case Roger becomes a supporting member of their game. So solidifying his identity was important from a narrative standpoint to help create unity across multiple games. It also helps define this game as different from a future DAST-002, or DAST-003 in which the main character is someone totally different.
The other reason we didn't make Roger nameable was because in the beginning when all of this was first conceived, we didn't know how. This time last year we were trying to learn DAZ, Renpy and AniMate all at the same time. We were a bit overwhelmed. Now of course we've overcome that hurdle and naming characters is stupid easy, but at the time we were so beset by options and interfaces that we just didn't look into it.
I know this doesn't solve your problem, but hopefully it sheds a little light on why we opted to go the route we did.
3. My biggest gripe, overall, is Jane. I LOVED that character in the previous incarnation of this game. However, I feel like the character's appearance has taken a MASSIVE step backwards since the relaunch. Her facial shape has made her look somewhat boyish and her eyebrows are a disaster. This guts me to say, as I adore the way you're developing her...but I wanted to provide honest feedback from the user end.
And we always appreciate honest feedback!
So I have some good news. We didn't change Jane at all. The only character to receive any kind of modification of shape between alpha and beta was Monica. We did create new skin shaders for the characters, but those only create small details like pores and goose bumps.
The reason Jane looks so different, and believe me, I completely agree with you, is that she isn't wearing make-up in any of the current scenes. We felt having any of the girls wearing makeup by the pool or right before bed was absurd. But those eyebrows are the same ones she sported in the alpha.
So the good news is, in future scenes like the ones coming up, where it makes sense for her to wear makeup, you should find her 1000% more appealing. Just to illustrate, I've included pictures of Jane, one from the alpha and one from the current release. It's amazing what a little foundation can do.
We didn't change so much as a nipple. Ok, I take that back, we might have changed the shape of her pubic hair...
In either case, by the next update, she should look more like you remember her, and it sounds like that's a good thing!
Overall, the game is something I very much look forward to. Carry on!
JD
We appreciate you playing, we appreciate your feedback, and we appreciate your passion for the characters. Salute mate!
