@TheDevian

I only ever went back and played big brother or Eric's adventure which is what I started calling it as it was all about the dickless wonder and nothing really to do with the son and then later the DEV got the bright idea to make it all about him and he almost killed himself with that move and if he hadn't quickly changed it back it would of been dead. But I later came back to the game only when a modder came out with the troll stomping mod which removed the dickless wonder from the game whenever you wanted him gone. So right after I met him I hit the bye bye ass hole button and he was gone.
It was not the most fun when he was there, but there are a few fun endings for him, if you don't try to befriend him. I usually have him killed, but I like the idea of selling him into slavery too. :devilish:
What bothered me was how the older sister tried to turn the tables on you before he abandoned the game. It was poorly thought out, and showed how dumb the sister was, and the PC for not calling her on her bullshit. She was only biting herself in the ass. It's really too bad, because the art was phenomenal! Art wise, it's one of my favorite 3D CGI games here.

At least nothing like that will happen in this game.

The latest installment was far more to the point than I expected, this was like fan service followed with a hot towel thrown over your whole body afterwards. Jane's character is an amalgam of two women I've known IRL, so that made it even more fun for me, at least.

Throughout the progress of this game, I've most enjoyed:

* The perspective of each character being carefully crafted to the situation at hand, they aren't simply barrelling through each scene without being personally affected by the situation, so a reasonable suspension of disbelief is retained and the player gets drawn in further. The business politics which led the MC on this ride in the first place, Jane's playing with the MC in a way that he recognized and could discuss - even his peeping - in a rational yet lust-driven manner, etc... these are being presented in ways that could be considered natural for the characters, with banter styles to match their attitudes. So, generally good voicing.

* Posing of the characters typically reflects what is on their minds, e.g., Jane's sitting position in the latest installment, the three young ladies moving about in the pool as their interactions with each other and the MC progressed, etc. One exception here is Dr. Amana, who is essentially a stone statue - I keep expecting to read something new from her expression and/or posture as the story gets into full swing, but that's not really been possible thus far.

As mentioned earlier, I also noticed a number of typos and sentence formations that could possibly stand with a scrubbing here and there. That didn't irritate me at all, but it does take the player a bit out of the game when that stands out too much in the same or successive piece(s) of dialogue, I feel.

On the color paths...initially, I inherently expected that the combination of blues+reds+blacks would change my options downstream in terms of my preferences being noted, not just an immediate branch being affected by a single choice each time. That's because I see the colors as grades, rather than paths... and grades are added up or averaged over time. That's probably an incorrect impression and it's more likely that any given branch could be opened or at least partially closed from a single point in time choice of red vs. black, let's say, and that the next branch's options probably won't be impacted by your rolling history of choices. Still, that's how color affects me. Guess I would almost prefer an icon or text description instead of color and it makes me wonder if any others have different impressions of what color choices mean in the game as I did.

Overall, it's ambitious and interesting, with good enough graphics. Worth following+supporting.

How do i actually install the patch? just extract and leave it there?
Just drop the contents into the game folder. It should warn you that some files will be over written, that's how you tend to know a patch is in the right place.
I did notice that it kept the fun very not subtle dialogue about the daughter being the neighbour's daughter instead during the night scene with the girls changing into their sleepwear for me. That may be down to the patch being older than the current game version. Otherwise it works fine.
Where the updated walkthrough?
Honestly, you don't really need one. You just need to know what the routes are for each of the colours and you can see that in the current walkthrough.
Don't choose black options unless you want to avoid a relationship with that character, blue are generally nice guy options and red are bad boy. These colours despite being good guy and bad boy respectively are generally themed to the character such as the lady at the office being dominant and submissive, so the walkthrough only really helps in regard to insight about the route. For the newest character at the gym you can actually see what her previously intended routes are if you highlight the blocked out text and copy and past to notepad or something. Blue is romance and red is rebound. I'm inclined to believe this hasn't changed given how the converation with her played out. There is content down both red and blue routes but they play out differently and at different paces, so if you want all content then you will have to playthrough multiple times.
Additionally, purple options serve to move the conversation without having an impact on which route you're on. They're just there for when a black option appears but as a choice that keeps the relationship alive that isn't good boy or bad boy.

I won't lie, we compile the Linux version in Renpy and have absolutely zero knowledge of Linux, the Linux version, or what you're talking about. However, if there is someone here that can help, and there is something we need to do different on our end when compiling the Linux release, by all means let us know and we'll fix it ASAP!
Thanks a lot, took me a while to figure out where i was suppose to look. ^_^ The terminal pointed it out that was in the game folder while, like a noob i'm, i was looking into the system files. :3
I love this OS, you can do so many things with the terminal.

No need to do anything, i just had to "chmod +x" "DAST001.sh" and "DAST001" via terminal. ^_^
It seems "chmod +x <filename>" command makes the script inside a file to run when you open it. I guess is like making a ".bat" file in windows, you just have to use that command also after saving the file. That's my guess :3
"chmod +x" adds the executable flag to a file (for all users). For security reasons files are usually not executable by everyone, or at all, on a linux system.

@RomanHume The only way to handle this reliably in a platform independent way would be to use an installer as windows and linux handle file/folder permissions/attributes differently. Most of the time however people just put a big "README LINUX USERS.txt" or something like that in the game folder and tell users to run the command.
The issue is actually very simple. When you do a "Build Distributions" in Ren'Py, it will bundle everything together into a zip file. The win/lin version is a rar file, which means it was unzipped and rar'd. The rar file format doesn't support linux/mac executable bits, so the linux shell script (the .sh file) loses its executable permissions.

Solution: keep the zip. If you need to unpack it, change something, and recompress, use the system zip.

Did you ever play Big Brother? Is what happened with Eric considered NTR by your definition? I'm genuinely trying to understand so that we can properly label parts of our story. That was my first brush with what everyone said was NTR. Prior to that I had never even heard of the term.
Is what happened with Eric NTR? Yes and no.

Eric becoming Mom's boyfriend, sleeping with her, etc is NOT NTR. You're not in a relationship with her.
Eric taking Alice and Lisa could be NTR - if you're in a relationship with either of them.
Eric taking Kira also could be NTR - if you've progressed with her.

The reason people hated Eric is because he popped up, stole your girls (sure, mom wasn't one yet, but we were heading towards her being one), was not defeatable, and led to a game over if you didn't jump through his hoops.

Oh, so RenPy inserts an executable bit into the zip file even when compiling off an NTFS partition? That's clever, didn't know it did that.
Recompressing with system zip, at least on windows 10, will strip it again however.

Okay guys, here are my 5 Cent on the whole NTR thing going on (again):

I really like NTR options. Because it spices things up.
NTR only games are mostly lame because there is no real choice.
And the way it is solved here is really good. You can easily avoid that if you are not into this kink. So there is no need to pussy about this topic.

Here is my question:
As far as i know, the tags show the things that are already in the game. But strangley i cannot "open" the NTR path (yes, i choose "NTR on" at the beginning).
Are there any NTR scenes already in this game?

And to the dev:
A really good piece of work. Nice renders, different types of girls and different types of charakters. All good written.
I really look forward to the next updates and i really consider donating you.
But watch out to not overcomplicate choices and outcomes. This would be my only "critic" ;-)

Seeing as you previously said we are basically speaking in tongues as far as you're concerned I thought you might like a quick and easy to understand overview of what's even the problem and the suggested solutions.

The Problem:

On linux, every file/folder can have three different permissions set: readable, writable, executable
On windows, there are, well, more: modify, read & execute, list content, ...

Anyway, it's obvious that you can't just easily change from one to the other.
The guys making the zip format took the easy way out: when in doubt, strip everything and just set the local default permissions.
The rar guys apparently just didn't bother preserving permissions altogether, so they always set defaults when unpacking.

On windows, that's not really a problem most of the time, because everything is executable by default anyway (bad windows, no cookie)
On linux however the defaults are more strict, so when you unzip something without proper linux format it ends up without the executable permission. So you can't execute the game without manually adding them. (That's what chmod +x <file> does)

The Solutions:

The RenPy guys apparently recognized that and made sure to include some trickery so that when you run the "Build Distribution" or whatever they call it, it makes sure you end up with a zip file containing the proper permissions.
So, you can either:
  • Keep the properly set up zip file RenPy provides you directly.
  • Repack it manually to whatever format you want and include the aforementioned README FOR LINUXUSERS.txt
  • Repack it in a linux environment, mac will probably also work. That should also preserve the proper permissions

First of all, it's not my definition. Netorare is a regular japanese word and that is it's meaning...…….That's why I stated previously that it's often misused. Heck I have seen people calling it NTR when someone nailed a potential love interest they had turned down themselves.
Fair enough, what mean was, according to the definition you provided. And the second part, I think that is why a newcomer to the terminology is so easily confused. I see the term thrown around a lot, but it doesn't always seem to be used consistently.

Thanks for helping clarify though. In the end, we'll write the scenes we're going to write, and we'll make those with undesirable content avoidable for those who don't want them. We just want to make sure we're properly labeling things and using the correct tags.

Code:
A-ten-HUT *nix wankers!
Since we are compiling this game on windows you need some permission magic to make everything work.
Open a terminal, navigate to the game's base-directory (where you found this README) and run the following command:
chmod +x DAST001.sh lib/linux-i686/DAST001 lib/linux-x86_64/DAST001
You can now start the game normally from DAST01.sh
This is perfect as far as I'm concerned. With your permissioned I'll credit the handle Oidex with it's creation and just include it as a separate download when we publish new releases. This way people only have to download it once and we don't have to manually include it each time we compile. We'll just have the link up there always ready to go.

And I'll assume anyone speaking linuxese will understand it. Cheers!

Quite the enjoyable ride so far.^_^
I like the fact that i have control over the most important things and that everything has a natural flow.
The story did caught my eye and i can't wait to see how things will go with that plan :3
I think i will go with Nanami and Amanda and see how thing will develop ^_^ Quite intrigued on what Emily has to say.
Btw, what's your route with the story? Ofc, if you want to share it ^_^
I wish you the best ^_^
Thanks for playing and thanks for letting us know what you think. I'm not sure I understand the question "what's your route with the story?" If you can help me understand the question, I'm happy to answer it. Salute mate!

Yeap a few posts back in the thread shows who Lola is and when she's coming.
I started using the Amanda and Jane picture to change other peoples main menus in other games so they are always present. Lola looks nice and so does Lita as long as you don't look at her eye liner.
Jane should be wearing make up most of the time it makes her look better and sexier Lita is the one that should have her make up removed instead.
To me in some of the pictures of Jane it kind of looks like her eye brows grew if you cross reference the older ones from the pool.
Since Jane's eyebrows are basically "painted" onto her surface, I'm thinking the change in width is due to brow compression. In one scene her eyes are open wider and I think when we drop her brow down a bit for that squinting kind of look, it squeezes the eyebrows making them look smaller.

Jane will have make up in most of the scenes going forward, we just didn't feel it made sense for the first couple. We're not perfectionists, but we do feel like details matter.

hm, dno how i should play this game, or what im doin wrong, but i just had one small "talk-scene" with jane and that was it
I was going to answer this but I'm running late with my responses. It looks like others have stepped in and helped. If you still have questions though please let us know. We're happy to help. Thanks for giving our game a try!

remember befor he did a reboot whe talked whit jane in his office at housse and now whe have that scene again but whe can finnaly shack/fuck Jane whas about time but she should be a virgin that she was befor reboot she do every 2 piss off her dad
aka Jane's Daddy not MC
Funny thing about that Jane scene, we didn't plan on the MC having sex with her quite that soon. We had planned to do it like the alpha where it gets hot and the tension builds and then there was going to be an explosion in a follow up scene in a hotel after school.

But I wrote the scene and sent it over to Fecal to start in on the renders and as I'm watching him work I got restless. I basically said, "You know what, we need to fuck Jane now. Let's have a quickie in the office and that will light the fuse for the hotel scene." The artwork was just too hot! I didn't want to wait. So that was kind of my fault.

But Fecal is a good sport and he helps keep me honest. He said, rewrite the second half, and I'll read it, and if it doesn't sound janky and forced, we'll roll with it. Otherwise, I'm sticking to the original.

24 hours later, we had a team approved sex scene with Jane.

So when I say we're creating a game we want to play, I shit thou not. Fortunately I have a good team that doesn't let me get too carried away.

To which I'll add, we're three hetero guys making a sex game. Lola was hard sell to them as well and I basically had to write the Nanami alt scenes first to convince the rest of the team that Lola was a great character. They read it, liked it, and said ok. Let's do it.

We're building skillz over here! Every new challenge makes us better and I think this next update will be the one to help put us on a lot of radars. It's exciting stuff for us and we couldn't do it without the community's enthusiasm and support for our project.

No shit, every time I read a good post or review for our game, I immediately want to sit down and start writing. It's encouraging, truly. So thank you all for that!

I'll continue working through thread responses as the day goes on.

Salute!

@RomanHume I am following your game very closely. Since I am a maritime officer I can't download and play(fuck mobile data packs and expensive ship Internet) but As far as I have seen (played 1.0.3) you guys are doing great. I can't wait for larger content updates(thankfully when I return I will have 6 months worth of them)
The sad thing that I can't play Jane update since I kinda wanted to do it with all 3 girls but didn't have the content yet before I left(yes I am into girls much younger and petite looking... Sue me)

I wanted to give my 5 cents about ntr too. As long as it is optiomal getting a love interest stolen from me is great. Most games do that makes the character a passive, spineless, clueless guy. It doesn't necessary to be like that. I know that is a kink and happens but if you are a jerk to your partner she can find happiness in another man's arms... You can put 2 different character routes for it 1 is for being a passive with her and another character qhom you can be a jerk to... I know it is hard when you have your story planned but mine is a suggestion. At least what I'm gonna do in my game which I will make to learn renpy and daz...

Since it is an active thread may I ask if people be interested in a game which sex isn't a focus and rare? Like Fate Stay Night? Assume story is good since I worked on it for 2 years with professional editors. Throwing tomatoes is appreciated since we are out of tomatoes on the ship

how do i get Jane's sex scene? It's in the preview pics!
hm, dno how i should play this game, or what im doin wrong, but i just had one small "talk-scene" with jane and that was it
@hideouz

Pick either only BLUE (romance) or RED (bad boy) responses don't pick the ones that are black as those are probably the ones where you end any more content with that character so if you select one of the black responses it'll end anymore content with them in any more updates and you'll never see them again.

I would set up 2 save groups one for BLUE pathway and another group for the RED pathway.
