Also to anyone interested, we are live streaming in 1-hour. The link to our picarto is in my signature.
We had a poll to determine what we'd be working on and it looks like we'll be doing a Jane image in Roger's man cave.
We're going to use viewer feedback to build the image, so it'll be interesting to see how nasty things get.

Note this won't be a scene from the game, just a chance to see our process and for those who want it, a bit of a Daz tutorial.

I have a tendency to lean that direction in most of my writing too, have to see how it goes in the games.

Yes, sorry for not being clear. I've played games where any combination of the following would occur:

- The animation's kickoff from the prior screen seemed abrupt or unexpected
- The lighting didn't match closely enough with the static imagery
- Character movements were so fast that the static screens suddenly felt as if they were in slow motion, so pacing was squashed

Animation has more things to track by the player, so allows for a greater percentage of technical items to be missed and still get the idea across if done adequately, IMHO. So, there's more room for error in the execution of animations but they still need to fit the pacing of that part of the game AND work as a natural transition rather than as an attempt to throw in something which simply looks cool or different, I feel.

Your animation shown earlier looked good to me - so long as it flowed naturally from the jumping off point before it and then the landing back into static pacing wasn't just a dead zone (i.e., let the characters show recognitition of that movement's impact with regards to continuing their dialogue), then I think it would be a plus to your game.
No of course, that all makes perfect sense and I don't disagree with any of it. We go back and forth among ourselves even on the animation debate. Right now we're bypassing them to try and get the next update out asap. The plan for now is to circle around and complete them at a later date, just in the interest of keeping a schedule.

I personally am a bit afraid of all of these increased features dramatically slowing down the story progression. I'd much rather have the updates be quicker and do without animations as opposed to waiting the extra time. An extra few weeks on a monthly schedule is a pretty huge slow down in updates (in a game which hasn't really ever got into a good rhythm with regular ones).

I also personally think that if you decide to do animations something as short as that isn't really worth the time, I think it should be a longer loop (although as I said I would prefer you guys to shelf animations and other time intensive experimentation until your next game).
And that is a perfectly fair request. We got a lot of balls in the air at the moment no doubt. It's just hard to find that consistent stride between game production and everything else. We'll get there, we just have settle on all the details and try to find a way to consistently work on the game every single day.

Yes on animations, that one is pretty good. I'd add just a bit of sideways motion to the breasts though, never seen them go straight up and down IRL, more circular in reality. I am also not bothered by the extra time it takes to render animations, the end product of the game is better. Enough so, that a few extra days between releases is not a big deal to me.
For the record, I'm not in it solely for fapping; the story is everything...
Strangely enough I've looked at a number of online sciences courses and none of them seem to address the physics of bouncing titties. A huge scientific oversight if you ask me. I believe"Non-Linear Equations for Dampened Breast Motion" should be offered in every math curriculum. But I digress.

You raise a good point. It would probably be worth it as we get serious about animation to do a real study of...I'm not sure what to call it, sexual kinetics perhaps? I was quite pleased with that animation, but now that you've pointed it out, the simple bi-directional movement of the breasts does seem overly simple. Solid feedback! Thanks.

And I absolutely agree, story is everything. In a perfect world, I'd have one or two dedicated Daz artists who focus on the visuals while I crank out story. One day perhaps, if fortune favors.

Well, with regards to boob physics, if a woman is laying on her back, and the mass was perfectly centered and balanced over the attachment point of the chest, then yes, they would have a simple back and forth sway.

However, on a woman with natural breasts with some heft to them, gravity is going to generally pull them outwards to the side. Now, assuming a back and forth bodily rocking motion of, say, standard missionary, the attachment point of the boobs in relation to where their mass has settled (i.e. the side) is perpendicular to the rocking motion.

As the attachment point doesnt really move much (or else the boobs would relocate!), only where the mass has settled will significantly change, creating a pendulum like effect, which will create a natural arc motion.

Then, as the boob reaches the limit of the arc, enough of the mass has come back towards the center, and with enough inertia, they could just sway towards the center, more or less completing a full circle, and giving them the circular wobble they are known for.

So, yeah. Boob physics. :p

My Defender is fully updated. You may need to update Windows Defender but I don't know it works with your Windows version since I use Win 10.

I remember years ago I used to think the idea of business travel was exciting. I was dumb then. So very, very dumb. Long checkpoints, tight time tables, delayed flights and stupid long hours in airports. I thought it was going to be more like Madmen. I fly to a new town, meet up with whoever my girlfriend is in city A. Fuck a bunch, do a little business and then fly home like nothing happened.

Turns out TV is bullshit.

Though I'll be the first to admit I am just biased against ghost lights for no good reason at all. I think it's the contrarian in me. Everyone says to use them and that they're easy, so I gotta be like, "Fuck Easy!"

Though all jokes aside, learning to play around effectively with spotlights has taught me a lot about real world lighting. Kind of has me wanting to try my hand at photography one day as a hobby.

But seriously though, if ghost lights work for you, go for it! Do whatever you find the most functional and render onward!

This week's teaser picture is of Lita, one of the lovely ladies working at the gentleman's club called Caligula's. In their efforts to uncover as much dirt as possible on Arthur, Roger may have to pump a few different people for information.

Alternatively!
For those who have the optional Transgender content turned on, you'll be working with Lola instead of Lita.

As you can see from the two images, adding this additional content really is a minimal amount of work. While the two characters have very different dialogue (takes an afternoon to write) we are able to simply re-texture the existing scenes to accommodate the visual variance in the two alternate scenes. And while there may be a handful of additional scenes that cannot simply be remapped, that little bit of extra work is going to reward us all.

So even if you aren't fully in support of the added trans content, remember, you can turn it off, and never see it. But optional content = wider fanbase = more support = more resources for developing the game. It really is worth our time.

Weekly Progress
This has been an incredible week of work. We've managed to get a lot done in moving ahead with the next update. If I were to guess, I'd say we're probably about 75% of the way there. While I'm always hesitant these days to put eta's on things, if I was gambling, I would say there is a very good shot of having this done in the next week, maybe two. It all comes down to how much free time we manage to wrangle next week for work on the game.

But in the meantime, I've been spending some of the render time working on the script for the next two scenes, so hopefully we'll those nailed down quickly and move right ahead just as soon as this one is complete.

Work on v1.1 continues as well and we should have an update to that shortly too. The goal is to have the two versions completely on par with each other in the next four or five months so that we can retire v1.0 and make v1.1 the official version, with all the enhancements and bonuses added. So here's to good luck with that.

Streaming
We finally managed to get our live stream going this week and I have to say, it felt like a success. We only had a handful of viewers but that was to be expected with our first go around.

Still, the viewers present were thankfully very engaged and I didn't have to make everything up on the fly. Some good ideas came out and we have a nice wallpaper in the works. I look forward to finishing it with the group next Wednesday.
I would like to keep the Live Streams consistently Wednesday, mid-day EST, but we may have to occasionally shift that depending on our personal availability. However, I am making a strong effort to always keep the Patreon Overview page updated with the next Stream times at the very top.
