On another note i never feelt this game was grindy, or maybe its just me? but then again i dont think i played the last 3-4 releases. So uh.. judge me all you want! i can take it! i think.. (please dont.. i'm very fragile!)

Are you even serious about story? And chars? Don't get me wrong. That black dickless dude is universally despised here but other than that... ...you are trolling, right?
Now all your whinings about tech stuff could be somewhat justified but frankly its not below average for this genre. And as for "animations" I'm yet to see not weird examples of that. All I saw was so so at most.
Story-wise DoD is sub-par only to IR. One of the best writing for this kind of stuff. Period.
