VN Ren'Py Completed Dual Family - Last Christmas [v1.01] [Gumdrop Games]

The models have been always been good with this IP, but I think what really holds the game back from being better than it currently is, is the fact that people don't crack a fucking smile and drone on and on about nothing in this. Not so much is in this mini bonus update, but it comes with the GumDropGames territory.

Like I really don't even wanna talk about the date delays and long time between updates, because that's always been like whatever, it's the easy joke with this Dev. But beyond how good I think the females look in this game, particularly the Mom, I cannot tell you what the developer is trying to tell with this story. Honestly. The writing has some evocative imagery, but almost little to no grounds to try and say "This is each person's motivations and feelings." Like I'm not trying to criticize the actual writing itself, but the direction of what is being written and presented to the audience. I can't tell what these characters want or what the dilemmas are. Honest criticism, but fuck me running, I'll keep downloading them off here.

Also, implement the damn "Skip unseen text" feature already. Hahaha As a writer of porn games myself, I give myself not one credit that anybody actually wants to read the entirety of my blabbering character dialogue, and you should be able to jump ahead.

I would read the entirety of your blabbering character dialogue. Good or bad I have to know how point A gets to point B. But it's usually on a second playthrough if it's to long, or if I'm not in the "mood" and just want to read for the sake of reading because that's still a thing people do right? Or is it just me?

But anyways, yes this VN has hardcore elements sprinkled here and there, but I save VN's like this when I'm not in the "mood" or not feeling like getting in the "mood". This VN is whatever it's trying to be, but what it's not trying to be is a porn game. I don't love this VN but I don't absolutely hate it either. I know what I'm signing up for when choosing to read this depressing VN. I think people should stop going into this expecting or hoping to expect it to become something it's probably never going to become(a good porn game) because it's an "adult" themed VN. lol

But I do agree with a "skip unseen text" QoL feature. All VN, VN-game hybrids should have it!

Honestly fuck this game. When the hardcore did happen, shit was off putting with the aunt[on both sides] and dad and mom was meh.

Cousin seemed to have thing for son until all of a sudden she's a physco for the dad... Like why? She should have at least been neutral territory or default for the son.. Since the aunt, daughter and mom[obviously], are with or have a thing for the dad.

Edit: Also as the son, you end up getting put with weakass side characters... The asian one was alright but still, side characters. So really there's almost no reason to play this game as son unless you really want the MILF content as a younger person..

Well GumDrop finally delivered after a lengthy absence with this post Xmas prequel side story and it’s unsurprisingly in exactly the same style as the main story. Introspective, dour and gloomy. Yet somehow it’s still compelling.

He knows how to tell a story, but a few light moments of humour certainly wouldn’t go amiss.

My index finger was sore after 10 minutes of hammering the mousebutton. Then the credits were rolling in.

Somehow the developer managed to combine two ways of not having sex: A buttjob - in a dream scene.

The rest is the typical stuff: empty and depressed faces. Pointless close-ups of dressed bodyparts during sheer endless, entirely meaningless dialogues that lead exactly nowhere.


1/10, where the 1 only comes from the developer putting a lot of work in his renders. The game itself is an utter waste of time.

i have never played the father version only the son version so i didnt notice that to be honest i never found the sister attractive thats what i just ignored that she existed and forgot she had dialog even when the game is so text based and it doesnt help that i havent played the game in 10 months (the last update) so theres that

I am on the same boat as you, I don't think the sister is particularly the most attractive girl in the cast, but she is okay, I like her banter with the Brother but I much prefer Karen over her (if we forget all the shit she has done: becoming just as obsessed or even more so than the sister with the Father, and screwing a family member over it). But just as a refresher, those kind of dialogues from the sister -talking negatively about the Mother and reacting badly to the comments of the Brother on the Father-, are present in both paths (Father and Son), but albeit different since she is talking to a different MC.
