Gumdrop's patreon count dropped in February. It dropped before, but that was when he was hyping the next release. People realized he's not releasing anything and started dropping off again. He's either going to release something or let attrition dwindle his patron count. It really sounds like he's making a living off this scam, so if he wants to keep his livelihood, he needs to show any proof of his work.
Remember Duke Nukem Forever? There are lots of people who loved the game.
In case of Dual Family, the only people now waiting for the game are those who will accept the worst scraps as long as the game is canon.
And I think you're giving other games and creators way too much credit. Graphics quality does not matter for Gumdrop's fans. I don't think they're interested in other games and they probably never played any newer and superior (or finished, for that matter) titles, or else they would have left GD a long time ago.
Conversely, that also means that Gumdrop is unable to attract new followers. Anyone who downloads the most recent public or pirated release to try it out will be aware that it's abandoned and graphics or the story will not engage any of them. Since gumdrop won't be upgrading the graphics or user experience, the only thing he has going for his game is the story -- and his patrons will accept his style as long as the story is canon and they feel they have influence over it (mind you, there's zero influence, the "game" is more like a kinetic novel in that regard).
The funniest thing is still the fact that he could have written the story and commissioned people to copy write the screenplay, write code and create CG and still have lots of money left over. In fact, he could be wrapping up Act III of Dual Family by now and could be announcing new projects and could probably have been no. 1 creator and could be raking in over 100 grand per month.

I think you're making a flawed analogy here. Hype for AAA games is different. There are all kinds of people waiting for AAA titles and if they don't live up to the hype, a very significant proportion of buyers are dissatisfied, even if there is a happy minority in which people are totally satisfied with the game as is.

Do you know there is a greater chance that you will be banned than his account will be suspended? Patreon makes it clear: your dissatisfaction is not a reason for complaint.
We already had people here who gave him negative reviews on Steam. Guess what happened. Yes, they have been banned.
If you want, run your own crusade, but don't expose others, at least without warning them of potential consequences.
Ideally, this thread should be suspended until something actually appears. Of course, information about the current situation would be appreciated (the abandon tag says literally nothing), but I have already mentioned it in my another comment.

As much as GD's scam disgusts me, he isn't breaking any laws or Patreon terms of service. It's up to the remaining fools who still pay this fraudster every month to finally wake up and cancel their subscriptions.

And one more thing, this is not dissatisfaction talking, it's compassion towards the others and dishonesty towards your patreons. And before you say anything I did not lend a single cent to this guy. Yeah, we could definitely let the fooled patreons continue fooling themselves but what good does it yield? Definitely it's none of my business or your business if these people chose to be fooled, but are we really okay about the fact that this scammer is continuing something when we know we can do atleast a simple move to stop this once and for all!?

There are games out there like Star Citizen, who have literally scammed millions of dollars through their crowd funding, that make Gumdrop look like a saint in comparison. Patreon are not beholden to ensure developers make good on their promises, and they are making good money off Gumdrop as well so why would they.
It sucks, but there is little to be done when stupidity overrides good sense with regards to Gumdrop's patrons. All we can hope is that when sites like this one mark it abandoned, people finally wake up and cancel.

I don't support snitching, and I think it sets a bad precedent, but has anybody tried reporting him to patreon? Pointing out that he violates their content restrictions is a much more likely way to shut him down than crying that he hasn't delivered an update.

I haven't played it in a long time (version ~0.6x or ~.7x, before going to our sister-in-law/aunt), but isn't there censorship or at least option to name relationships? If I good remember, he introduced something like that. Correct me if I am wrong.

It's been 2 years since I played it, but I think the relationship definitions are only for the immediate family, I don't remember defining aunt and cousin. And he definitely rapes his aunt, the cousin blowjob may be a grey area, not rape, but definitely rapey.

His patreon page was suspended at least twice over this (I think it could have been three times with a very short break between two blocks). He worked it out with patreon and made the recommended corrections in his game. Incest content is only available with a patch.
Yeah. Good luck. Report him. Patreon won't do anything because they already settled this matter with gumdrop. You will more than likely be banned by patreon for harassing a creator with baseless accusations.

Patreon are a business, they are not there to babysit people regarding their own finances.
Patreon make money off those donations, they aren't likely to lose themselves money.
If people feel like they are being scammed they are able to cancel their own payments. Personal responsibility.
HAHAHAHAHA. Gumdrop posted this schedule TWO DAYS AGO and listed POSTS he was supposed to make in the last 48 hours. Just plain posts with further announcements. Nothing big expected. Just a couple of lies about more deadlines he's going to miss. And he still didn't keep to this schedule.
