I won't be wasting any money on this scammer, either, but from what it looks like from the first couple of words, condrop is presenting a schedule of posts he's going to make over the next two days. So he's announcing that there's going to be an announcement about animation progress and an announcement about Part X release date.

I realize you have to be an idiot to give him any money in the first place, but right now, it's not even stalling, it's downright insulting. If there are people who bear with him, well, I'll just figure the guy discovered a gold mine.

One thing's for certain. He wants to keep the money going. I seriously thought he's going to just give up on scamming people, and will shut up forever, but it seems he doesn't.

Disclaimer: There's a tiny, like a fraction of a thousandth per cent, chance the guy is sincere about wanting to finish the game and he's feeling genuinely bad about his incompetence, procrastination and laziness, all while not pausing his patreon nor stating up front he's having problems. But that's silly. If he was having problems, with $10,000 a month, he could have commissioned artwork and kept coding. Heck, he could probably commision artwork, code, sound and music and still keep over five grand each month. The game would be finishing by now and he would likely be making over $50,000 a month by now.

Sounds like you are the one who needs to "deal with it", this has been abandoned since 2018. There won't be any release again because he will never be able to produce the 3k images he claims to have been rendering for years. He has done literally nothing: no work, no new assets, no new skills (he has long fallen behind what decent devs put out nowadays), etc.

There won't be any release again

This situation cannot last forever. It may take a year or two, but you can't pull on like that for 10 years or so.
Sooner or later, patrons will start to leave. You must be incredibly naive if you think that he will be just waiting until his patron counter drops to zero.
Even if he has to pay someone to do everything for him, it still pays off for him. There are many people who would update such a game for $1000 or $2000 per month.
I strongly believe that the update will be released before the number of patrons drops by half. He would have to be a total idiot to just sit and wait doing nothing. And I sincerely doubt that he would be one, since he could get so many patrons doing, well, image previews.

They won't ever come back to a half-assed "release" intended to keep the scam going, he has committed too hard to lying too much for far too long. In fact, such a "release" would open the eyes of many people still in denial, since they would finally realize he has been lying all along. The contrast between all the bullshit he has spewed for years and what he actually could show for it would be too big (similar dynamic to what happens with AAA games which have underwhelming releases after years of aggressive marketing). I suspect the scammer knows this, hence why there won't be a release again.

And the story is incredibly addictive, especially the mother-son relationship. You may complain about delays, but Patreon was on pause for last two months! He bought a new PC that was mentioned on his Patreon in Novemver, so hopeful next updates will come out a little bit faster, although there are still a lot of manual work.
Anyway, the whole second episode will have 1/8 more renders than the first one and should appear in this month or early February.

Technically speaking, it was updated 4 months ago (Sep 19, 2019).

Besides, you are referring to the old version. 0.0.99 was released long time ago, and then it received some bugfixes.
What's more, the Last Christmas DLC (standalone) was released about 1 year ago (Jan 3, 2019).

You are wrong. There was a small bugfix release published on Steam (Sep 19, 2019). Before then, 0.0.99 was published on Game Jolt (Apr 25, 2018), and extended edition with Nude Pinups was published a bit later (Aug 17, 2018). What's more, GD released a standalone DLC last year - Last Christmas (Jan 3, 2019).
But apart from that (bugfixes + nude pinups + DLC), there was no feature updates in the main game since early 2018.

As you can see, he's doing quite well.

This tag has changed nothing. What's more, in the long run it can even help him. That's right. I believe that neither "On hold", nor "Abandoned" are suitable for this game. This game requires a special red tag that would describe this situation.

For now, everything F95 does works in his favor:
- Technically speaking, this game has not been abandoned. Someone visiting this site may think that the information is out of date, because GD still publishes news and talks about the game.
- I saw a few people here who suspected him of some ridiculous things, like money laundering. Combining this with the lack of the latest version on the site (0.98 != 0.99), someone may think that pirates are furious, because they can not get the latest version.
- It also doesn't help that a few people urged others to write mass negative reviews on Steam. Most of these people have been banned by Valve. This creates the image of envious haters.

There should be eye-catching information describing what exactly happened. No crap about the game being on hold, abandoned or the developer missed timeline.

Gumdrop's patreon count dropped in February. It dropped before, but that was when he was hyping the next release. People realized he's not releasing anything and started dropping off again. He's either going to release something or let attrition dwindle his patron count. I think you're making a flawed analogy here. Hype for AAA games is different. There are all kinds of people waiting for AAA titles and if they don't live up to the hype, a very significant proportion of buyers are dissatisfied, even if there is a happy minority in which people are totally satisfied with the game as is.
Remember Duke Nukem Forever? There are lots of people who loved the game.
In case of Dual Family, the only people now waiting for the game are those who will accept the worst scraps as long as the game is canon.

I don't think anyone here expects otherwise and I think nobody is a supporter, so there's no point in saying it's "our" shitty porn game.

And I think you're giving other games and creators way too much credit. Graphics quality does not matter for Gumdrop's fans. I don't think they're interested in other games and they probably never played any newer and superior (or finished, for that matter) titles, or else they would have left GD a long time ago.

Conversely, that also means that Gumdrop is unable to attract new followers. Anyone who downloads the most recent public or pirated release to try it out will be aware that it's abandoned and graphics or the story will not engage any of them. Since gumdrop won't be upgrading the graphics or user experience, the only thing he has going for his game is the story -- and his patrons will accept his style as long as the story is canon and they feel they have influence over it (mind you, there's zero influence, the "game" is more like a kinetic novel in that regard).

The funniest thing is still the fact that he could have written the story and commissioned people to copy write the screenplay, write code and create CG and still have lots of money left over. In fact, he could be wrapping up Act III of Dual Family by now and could be announcing new projects and could probably have been no. 1 creator and could be raking in over 100 grand per month.
