Uh, okay... First off, I'm not a 3D artist, but that's rather because I got no artistic talent than the technical skills. But I've played with motion capturing already. So, even if he gets the equipment, he needs to capture the motions multiple times (even in the unlikely case that he's got an actor at hand), and manually clean up the captured frames. Then he needs to re-animate _everything_, as there's simply no magic solution to match the captured animations to an arbitrary rig (just because of anatomic differences); even if you got a rough automatic transfer, it's again a manual process to clean it up. And I'm not even talking about learning the ropes of all this stuff. You can do that in 6 weeks if you work full-time on learning this with no room for any mistakes, but even then your first animations will look like crap. Motion capturing is good if you want high quality animations that look great from different arbitrary angles, but for the simple animations here it's far more easy to just grab some porn and replicate the motions manually. If you even can't do that, motion capturing won't be your friend.
Also, I thought he hired a talented artist to deliver high-quality animations? But that guy somehow didn't deliver in time. Hm.
Let's play a game... here are my guesses for the next announcement: a) shipment delayed, b) motion captures need improvement but it's mostly done, c) will redo every single animation with motion capturing and also add a huge load of new animations because it works so well
//edit: I think this was the game for which I registered here.
