1. You are wrong. They just need to file a copyright claim with whatever platform you choose to promote it (you mentioned paid - so it would be on patreon or subscribestar or itchio, etc). If you posted it only on sites like F95... then,
2. They could have their attorneys file a cease and desist to you either through attempting to find your real identity or even to your account on whatever platform you are using (DM, etc). Neither 1 nor 2 would need to say his name. If 1 or 2 doesn't stop you, then...

People have a misguided belief that "Kyle" hides his identity to prevent online harassment or physical altercations over this game. As if this game is the only thing that matters in the world. It's just sad.
Another possibility is that he would be shunned by his family or his community over this game or its contents (especially if it's based on real people or real events). But unless they would specifically go to court or follow this case, they would probably stay completely oblivious to it.

IANAL and I don't know the intricacies of US court systems, but just to clarify: Could gumdrop establish a trust and assign copyright to it, then the trust would be the one to fight the copyright case? He'd still retain his anonymity, so even if he wanted to, that point would be moot.

Kind of yes and kind of no. Yes, a trust could be named something that has no identity information, such as "DF Trust." However, then no one identifiably connected to the developer could be name a trustee - so the developer would need to pay someone to manage the trust and at the relative pittance we're talking about that the developer gets from this game, that's not going to happen. Even if it did, similar to other organization documents, including incorporating a business or non-profit, then ownership of the game and the contents involved transferred to the trust from the developer could be public documents - and that would divulge the identity. That said, in order for the trust to prove it had standing in a copyright case, even if the documents weren't public, they would discoverable evidence in a court case.

Would be less mess and less attorney costs to just keep it as it is than create a trust.

Played a few years ago and here is my summary of the game for those that wonder what is going on in the game. I think the game hasn't changed much so it may still be worth it

I dont really know what is going on in the game after 4h of trying, so here is what i get from it it.

-MC
*Dies 3 times in this story 1º Jumping off the Building. 2º Car Accident. 3º MC Father kills MC with the bat after MC Mother take off the ring.
*MC talks like He is the developer of the game when the skeleton is helping him to make a ''game'' but says there is another Developer I guess MC talks about MC Sister because she is the one that paints the life of everyone.
*In one of the MC Sister paints ''DIN LICK'' she says that she gave him a ''scar''. When?
*The Airplane I guess represents the life of MC
-MC Sister
*She dies 2 times: 1º Jumped after MC off the building. 2º Unknow
*She says that, that wasn't the first time she and he died also is not the first time they married.
*She gave MC as a birthday gift the eyes of the Skeleton. How?
*She paints the life of everyone like he is the developer of the ''game'' that MC was creating with the Skeleton.
*She is the only one that can remember the Alternative Universes and forces MC to marry her over and over?

*Died after the MC father killed MC that is why she is on the island with MC and MC Sister. Probably the MC father killed her too.

I played the game on browser and it seems that there is 5 scenes that are showcased as demo scenes and there is a possibility to buy them on his website or patreon. The 5 sex scenes are complete.
The problem between me and the dev is, he's not a reliable guy, and not deserving to buy anything from him. He himself takes drugs and everytime he's high he goes on this project. Also he charges very expensive for the worth of a promise of a animation content from a zero reliable dev who is a drug addict.

Someone here must have them, there is one foreplay animation in dollhouse + 4 complete sex scenes with the Matriarch. and they are out.
