Ah, I remember Joshua surprisingly well actually. But i left before his "departure" and back then i didn't think of him as Gumdrop Himself, instead a high-tier fanatic supporter or some shit that somehow got here.

i remember joshua tree, not all of his posts were defending scamdrop. there's also gumdrop account but no posts.

well there are limits of how much we can bash devs (even scamdrop, scamstor, etc).
That still doesn't confirm that Joshua is Kyle. Can't you "doxx" just another user? You can. And he can go to admins as well as everyone else.
OK, let’s say someone accuses me of actually being the Pope and I then go straight to the admins asking for that person to be banned.

However, if they post what they show as proof of your true identity of the Poe (don't worry, your magnificence, I would never divulge your secret) and their proof is spot on or, at least, gets people pointed in the right way to Vatican City - particularly your inner sanctum where you keep all your pornographic material for over the millennia for you to Beat the Bishop and the bishops to Pull the Pope - then you should report as such.
Even if the person is way off base, but is repeatedly attempting to dox you as someone else (say, instead of your true identity of the Pope, they believe you are French President Macron) - you should also report as such because of their continued harassment of you.

Also, what was the real point of your ridiculous hypothetical? You knew the answer, yet you asked it. If you didn't know the answer, it could be easily discerned with a moment's thought.
Also, I expect this whole conversation about the developer's F95 identity to be deleted eventually as off-topic.
Joshua Tree was one of several dozen people accused of being gumdrop. Nobody presented any credible evidence that he's gumdrop other than some posts where he was defending gumdrop or the game.
People were flinging accusations left and right, I was personally accused of being gumdrop, too.
All because of two things: 1) I pointed out that gumdrop could use copyright law to prevent others from picking up where he left off or developing a similar game. 2) I said that (at the time), it was normal that gumdrop was picking up new subscribers because it's still his game and he's still entitled to revenue from selling it.
It was hilarious to read those accusations. Last thing I would do is hang out in a thread about my game if I flat out abandoned it. If anything, just to avoid getting sucked into a conversation and to avoid the risk of developing some guilt.
I brought up the ridiculous hypothetical to prove my point that it wasn't an overreaction. People insult each other every day on the internet. You, for example, just insulted me now by suggesting that my question and further discussion gets deleted.
Gumdrop makes a decent living based on his "work" and empty promises and the public has the right to know if he's still arguing his players on the forums instead of developing the game. I want to know if he's still milking the people or not so I can take further action.

yes but nothing you can do, he's not breaking any laws (if was then all tv preachers on yankee tv would be behind bars) and not breaking any patreon rules either.
I don't plan on sending anyone to prison. If someone exploits other people, then I think that is a punishment onto themselves already. I'll just tell people I know how Gumdrop has been developing an update for the last 5 or so years so that they know what they're getting themselves into.

- No, I did not insult you - this conversation is clearly off-topic: it's about possible, alleged, and supposed (ancient) past user identities of the developer on this site, which is neither on-topic nor topical - not even credible evidence of such. Even if it was credible evidence, it could still be considered off-topic. I said the whole conversation could get deleted - including my own responses to this conversation. So I'm also insulting myself? Absurd.
- Your hypothetical was clearly off-topic because it was neither about the game nor the developer but about doxing someone (in this case, your hypothetical self, your eminence).
Gumdrop makes something -- but based upon the numbers, it's not anywhere near a living. Few in this thread in over a year have defended this title and developer. If you have ever dipped into this thread in recent times, you can plainly see that it is quite obvious what the public opinion. It's also obvious that it is extremely rare for anyone to argue with players here that they should play this. You have no worry about taking "further action."
Which is what many of us have been doing for many years - CXX since at least 2019. Me since at least 2022. Welcome, but you don't need to get obsessed about identities. Just simply state the facts:
- There is no content that most people are looking for in this title.
- There never was.
- There never will be.
- The spin-offs are acid trips, simply feeding into the developer's own overdeveloped sense of ego.
- No one should waste their bandwidth downloading.
- No one should waste their time attempting to figure out what this shit is.
Did I insult you because I used the Pope as an example?
I'm an Italian, that's the first thing that popped into my mind.
Also, there is no such thing as absurdity; only logic and paradox as a counterweight.
