This developer never had health problems. He had greed problems. He started milking and stopped working on the game.

That's not the answer to the problem.
He might be lying or he might not but if the game is truly dead is only up to the developer. The REAL question here is if you should support/follow him or his work or not. So it comes down to if you have the faith that the game is still being worked on or not.
-You think or hope the game is still in development? Then stick around and continue following the thread.
-You doubt the game is still in development but feel let on? Leave the thread and check back in a year.
-You are sure the game is abandoned? Leave the thread.
It's that simple. Don't follow a thread just to see if you were right or not as that helps no one and only show people cannot let go. Dare to let go. Move on to better games and threads.
I hope it actually isn't and I do follow this thread and I'm on his server. Problem is, he never shares updates or shows progress pics or renders. That is what makes me conclude this.

It is 100% dead. The last update he put out was pretty much done prior to the "merge" that will never happen. We've had people here do it for him and he refused the help. They were offering to do it for free...he refused...it's been years since an actual update. He continues to lie to everyone saying it's not dead and when anyone on the server says it's dead..he bans them saying they're lying...but he refuses to show work.
Lets be honest. We funded his move to Japan. Ever since he moved there hasn't been an update.... besides the one that was pretty much finished , which is the on we got...and that was years after the "merge" was being worked on.
