I don't know why he does even bother replying when it's clear he has moved on with life. He isn't the first one who lost motivation or the will to continue working on porn games and certainly won't be last. We (players) just need to move on and ignore him, it's pity to know that a project like this got stranded i know but alas, another one bite the dust.

Was scrollling through my watched games and came across this blast from the past. Probably the first game I downloaded on this site. Actually I think this game introduced me to this site. I used to play those point and click games on random sex games websites. It's such a shame will never get to see the end of this one and so many other ones I've wasted my time and money into... Oh well on to the next.

Well, my unofficial merge is done. (the only one that will exist?)

New saves only as old saves won't work.
Speaking of saves, for some reason the saves won't save into the usual %appdata%/renpy folders for me but it may not affect you. If you want to back them up after I would recommend copying them out of the game folder if you also run into this problem.

The merge includes Day 1 through 23. You can view the changelog of the things I did below.
This has been compressed down from 22GB~ to 3GB~.
Patch content is in a separate file that has to be extracted into the game folder.

Abandoned 5852
Completed 10186
That's 36% that never gets completed. That's.a.lot.

And I bet ya that most abandoned games are the ones that have longer development times. The longer someone works on a game the more likely it gets abandoned.

This is a very interesting statistic. I wonder what it would look like if one were to remove the "single release" completed games that only showed up when they are completed, or they're japanese released that have been translated. Pretty sure the abandoned % would increase, but I doubt there is a good enough filter to check that.

Easy way to filter out all the translated Japanese games, just filter out censored games.

This is to this day, one of the best games on this site i ever played and the only game i ever supported. But when i say the next stretchgole was "i want to move to japan" i immediately stopped my subscription. It was extremely unprofessional to ask for money to move to another country and im glad i got out when i did as we only got like 1-2 updates after that before it all went to shit. Super sad to see it dead but yeah, what are you going to. The content that does exist is fucking amazing though. Just sad to see blue cat milking this still though. He should have just taken a bow and said im done, its would have sucked but been the honourable thing to do.

Easy way to filter out all the translated Japanese games, just filter out censored games.

Good call. Excluding the censored ones, there's only 7119 games completed in that case, and 6068 abandoned. Only a short list of on hold, so safe to exclude those. So 46% are abandoned. If we had a similar way to exclude the single completed release western AVNs, I am pretty sure the number would go well over 50%, which is actually closer to what you'd expect to see in this industry.

To be honest, I expected the percentage to be higher. Maybe I've just been unlucky because a larger percentage of games I've keep an eye on have been abandoned.

I suppose what the abandoned tag doesn't show is the games that will be abandoned within the first few releases, or games with updates that have slowed/will slow to a crawl and be abandoned in the future. But the steady influx of new games keeps the percentage down.

I'm doing the same thing now, it's too much games that gets milked on or just abandoned, only a fraction sees completion so I prefer to wait now (unless it's from a trustworthy dev that actually completed a game before)

Haven't been here in years but I see that the game is still abandoned. Guess my past "debate" is right on the money, even when Bluecat assured people he was still "working" on it. Time reveals all things.

Even I was one of firsts who said that game was abandoned, I still think that there are about 1% chance that it would be continued (at least for 1 small update) coz that sneaky b..oy somehow keeps his patreon page alive despite it breaks probably all its rules especially with dark patch, so I gonna say that beside obvious reasons like BC is milking king that would milk dry even dead cow, patreon acc stays as backup plan if he gonna return back to his origin country (since I've heard that life where is he now is not fairy tale like anime or some isekai as somebody thinks) so in this case he would made some lil update to bait some of fanbase back, grab the money, relocate back and will do what he currently does best - milk his donaters again and feed with false promises until find some job and would go dead silent as usual (do meme posting).
