It's not the most user-friendly patching experience, to be sure, but it's not ridiculous nonsense either - make sure the patch version matches the game version. It's an extra step that could be eliminated in an ideal world, but I don't think it's as difficult as folks are making it seem...

The problem is that the Alpha patch doesn't exist. The Alpha and Beta patch links to the exact same URL. And considering the Alpha doesn't work, I assume both links contain the Beta patch.

just ran through day 8 and 9, and ill start by saying I'm enjoying the game. good story and characters, whether i like or dislike individual ones, it's about personal taste not quality.

the only reason I'm posting is a concern about the 'future plans' mentioned at the end, namely the free schedule feature being added.

the way the story is currently unfolding, matsu is very very busy on average with largely pre arranged meetings and events. this is from a lore perspective mind. with that stated, i would suggest if a free schedule bit is being retroactively introduced to the first week, that it's not introduced to fixed times. either that or slotted into the lunch period, as that seems to be the only time matsu just wanders without a goal.

unless he starts disappearing from the family home most evenings, taking his regular walks by moonlight lol

I downloaded the light compressed and there were at least half of the images in black, couldn't find image.
So I downloaded the full 16gb and it still won't work.
anyone else having this issue?

Interesting. All the patch does for Day 8+9 is set one variable to true so I assume the problem is with an implementation of the patch logic in the Alpha. Gonna take a look...

Hopefully when the actual beta drops we can get access to the official heavy and light compressed versions - 5G is a game breaker for me...

EDIT - PPS - there re SO many comments about how this won't work and it's so bugged - please - everyone this is a leaked alpha version that was only released for bug testing. Stop expecting this to be a working version - wait a few days for the beta version which should be much more playable (and hopefully have compressed versions)...c'mon, be reasonable...

You downloaded the wrong patch. Check previous patch builds on lewdpatcher for the Week 1 Final. Paste the game folder from the DM patch to your copy of Week 1.

Transfer your complete save from week one. The revised week one not day 7 of the individual games. I did that. Don't know if you need to load it and let it end again in day 8 or if it just being there lets the game sample it for your info. But after I did that, and I did load and let the game 'end' before starting 'play' for day 8, the name changes I made were in effect. Still ignores any changes you try to make in the options though.

I did play week one right to the end and yet when i start day 8-9 it remembers nothing, not even my own name or nick name Fuyu calls me. I tried it with the compressed version and the full 16 gig version. No matter what it dose not remember my old saves. Funny enough though i am able to change my name in the option which works for me.

The developer themselves said that saves will not work for the alpha/beta version. Wait for the proper release. They should probably add a note about that on the opening post.

I'm a bit confused regarding old saves at this point. I didn't replay the "week 1" thing, I've just played the days seperately, but going into day 8-9 my old saves from 1-7 aren't there, and moving my day 7 save over to the day 8-9 saves folder just provides me with a chunk of errors that crashes the game.

Edit: Nevermind, apparently savesdon't carry over on the Beta/Alpha version, I'll wait for the full release.

Even in the final release, your saves won't work. You will need save from the combined week 1.

I think some people also forget that they need to turn Dark Mind patch on from settings also. Just installing it into right directory isn't enough.

Anyway, I'll be waiting official day 8+9 release to save me from some of the bugs.

Right now the carrying over of saves doesn't work, at least until the final version. You have to start a new game and it will assume max stats for all the girls. Once the final version is out you'll be able to carry on from your week one saves, you don't need to download week 1 again as long as you have a save from just before the end.

My advice, wait a couple of days until the final version drops. That way the bugs should be fixed, your saves will carry over and I'm sure someone will compress it pretty quickly.

Really, I'm not sure why it transfered my names. Though I also had a backup folder of the DM patch. The bigass one with over 2 gigs of content attached. Before I applied that and added my complete day 7 save to the new days the game just kept calling me Matsu. But now all the name changes I made are applied. I know some ppl are saying the option stuff works for them but it didn't for me, till I did the previously mentioned.
But dun forget. This is the alpha release. So shit will be kafucked in places. A game this big and with as much as goes on in it can't help but have issues. And I'm fine with that. It's my fave game on the site and I already can't wait for the next release.
