Question: Sorry if this has been asked before, but here goes. In day 3, when you input the door code and open it, I get a short scene explaining there is no scene, not until week 2. Can someone confirm this is the correct thing to be seeing? Does this scene just.. flashback in week 2 at some point? Or is there something I need to do or update in order to get it working? I've tried google searching for this information, but didn't see anything about this. I do have dark mind installed, btw, if that matters here.
For anyone wondering about the progress of the Month 1 Merge or bitching about it taking forever here are two things:
1. Blue has been sending updates weekly for several weeks now keeping us all in the loop, remember this is a massive undertaking for revising and fixing a game that while still in progress, has more content in it than many actually fully developed titles. His team is going at as quick a pace as I reasonable and fixing line by line any piece of janky ass code from their learning experiences, and with a more veteran programmer hired to take care of more major issues like the broken phone system.
2. Week 1 took longer, and with more promises of it being done sooner instead of just being outright withheld to ensure nobody got false promises shoved up their asses. The fact that this merge is taking a mere few months to completely overhaul this large of a game and update its code to be less busted as a motherfuck is astounding as to the level of progress this team has been learning at. You're all adults, so you really should act like it and be patient-play some other shit on this site for a while, the update will be out whenever its finished. It will also be the last mega merge for a very long while.

well, Lain WAS going to make an update to their mod once the month merge came out. not sure if they're ever gonna come back after the shit that went down. so unless someone else picks that mod up i'm not sure if there will be one.

Here we are again, and this time I'm telling you about our compression methods because many of you are worried that the file size of Month 1 is going to be huge.
As you might remember, Week 1 has been released in 3 different versions. A heavily compressed version totaling around 1.5 GB, a 4.5 GB version, and an uncompressed 17 GB version.
Because many people have complained about the 17 GB size of Ecchi Sensei's Week 1, even though two much smaller versions were available to download, with the only difference being image quality, there will be no uncompressed version of Month 1.
We will be using the compression method which we have used to great success in the most recent updates. There is almost no noticeable impact on the image quality (with the only real noticeable loss of quality on images with dark backgrounds) and you don't need to wait for hours and hours to get to play Month 1.
I don't want to make any promises, but I'm quite optimistic to guess that Month 1 will probably be smaller than the uncompressed version of Week 1.

I honestly don't know the full story. Obviously Lains patreon has been "under review" for about a month now. Some people have said his/her absence is the result of some pretty toxic harassment but I'm not entirely sure of the validity of those claims. Either way it's been radio silence on their end as far as I'm aware.
As I understand it, Lain was attacked by fans of Summertime Saga, which included comments about her ability to code and other nastiness and they reported her to Patreon as well and attempted to dox her, all because she did not get her mod out fast enough for them. The game in question, I believe, had a major code overhaul which led to Lain needing to make a large code overhaul in her mod which caused delays and when her mod was available it had less functionality due to the changes. Basically it is the same old story, some self important, entitled assholes fucked up everything because they did not get what they wanted fast enough. I just hope Lain is doing OK, I really appreciated her mods and she did nothing to deserve any of this bullshit.
So someone who releases add-ons for a metric crapton of games on the regular gets a sperg fit thrown her way by people who have probably added *nothing* to the community? Yeah, sounds about right.

Well that's just stupid. Mods are something fun, and peeps who do them, do them because they wanted to, not because they have to. Entitled asshole bullshit is why we cant have nice things. If that happened to me, I'd quit making mods for that game altogether.
