Hey so I noticed you think you could do better, and that's great, truly, but this project already has an excellent manager attached to it. As well as some stellar coders on Blue's team, who are dedicating their time to making sure they can build a proper game the right way.
Always spot the team member from a mile away. Really you shouldn't get hurt over what people talk about together on forums. if its mindless drivel to you, than its not worth your time. If it was aimed at you, I would send the message to the development team. Bitching to bitch because you're waiting months for the latest release is something everyone does.
But since you commented.....
And I'm sorry all I have are dithering remarks when I never said I was a developer. I manage people, organize and come up with believable deadlines while trying to provide the best outcome possible for all involved including the audience. Also I lack some key information. For one I never received any confirmation that there were/were not any new content being developed, so I could be dead wrong there. Which was my real hope. The other factor being what is and isn't being worked on, difficulty of task, etc. So if your expecting me to give you more than generic anything, I'm sorry to disappoint.
And take what exactly slow? No one's saying rush anything, I'm talking tandem development of new content with a merger outcome. this would provide new content for your audience while updating old content to the new system. As systems are completed with the new content, could be applied to the old content until the two merge into one.
This observation simply comes from your steady drop in patrons (I don't know your actual revenues). As your development wears on with no target release people move on because of their fickle nature. And with the current release being touted as no new content (again apologize if this information is false going by the original discussion here) then expect even greater dip. Lower revenues means lower pay, lower pay means all those great team members will have to look elsewhere eventually.
This moment in your development is like many similar types that really REALLY set a team back. The dreaded revamp, remake, restructure, etc. And its often one teams never truly recover from because the momentum gets lost.
You're welcome to msg me if you want to take it to private convo. I have no issues with that. But for your own professionalism it's probably best to not respond to generic detractors.
Best of luck with the rest of your development.
