And then at the end he basically says F*uck you to anyone who questions whether Ecchi Sensei will be completed, despite the years worth of bad development decisions, the fact that the game is actually run by someone else who seems to be seriously ill, and that the update we are all waiting for, has no actual new content, despite the fact that all BlueCat has to do is make some more poses and write some dialog. He should be knocking out the scene after scene while we are all waiting for the sick programmer, so when it is finally fixed, there will be an ocean of new content. Remember, no rendering needed, so hours of content should be building up in the queue right now.

But what really kills this project is that the merge has stifled basically everything when there is no reason to do so. That seemingly relatively little to zero content has been worked on in this perpetually delayed merge is a huge tell in terms of the motivations and designs of those running the show and how the product will likely turn out.

After we have all seen how BlueCat basically abandoned all his supporters for the last 6 months. Does anybody really think a year in game is likely, knowing what we know now? Sixteen times more content than we have now (52/3 - 1)?

Whatever moderator decided to delete my two previous posts, I disagree with your decision and the reasoning you gave. Regardless, I gave my thoughts about this project. That is all I have to say about this matter. This post will probably be deleted anyways. Oh, and definitely Himiko into the dungeon room.

I think the moderators of the site consider behind the scenes stuff offtopic, based on their post deletion habits. I don't really agree either, but I'm also sick of all the infighting that shit courses, so I'm not that fussed.

This is a shitshow rn. Talk anything against the dev who's been wanking for months and your post will get deleted. Mods are working fine. but not a single mod decides to put on-hold or abandoned tag for a game that literally didn't have any updates for months. Don't even try to mention update nr20 and 21 those doesn't state anything, and doesn't clarify anything. They're just there to stop the inactivity. Such great game crunched at the hands of an incompetent dev.

Like I said, bring it up with the mods if you think there's a problem with how they're handling things. What's the point of having an agenda if all your going to do is talk about it?

I know we commonly call the version releases "updates" but that is not what is meant by "update from the dev"!

There are over 1000 games here without a release in the last 3 months and the only ones tagged abandoned are ones where the communication update has not been received or if the dev has said "I'm out"

On-hold requires communication from the dev even more than abandoned because they have to state they are putting it on hold not just ghost.

All the ground work for the next week with plotting, scene layout, writing, and other non code based work was done a few months ago while this has been on hold, basically Bluecat never stopped working, he just moved to different aspects. While he was waiting for his employee to recover, he isn't just fucking about constantly with dawlding off. So we will see a normal release schedule right after Merge with little to no delays as we get back on track.

Beyond this, I have already ensured to update you guys on a consistent basis, whether or not you'd prefer Bluecat do it himself, he's busy working on his game, so you're stuck with his pseudo-pr :3. Yeah sucks that its taken this long, but good news? This is the end of merges till six month point, and by then I'm sure they will be on a much better set of terms to figure that one out.

Things are moving, a bit haphazardly, a bit annoyingly, but they're moving.

All that being said, not sure on a question, anyone wanna take up on that? No? Well damn guess none for today cause I'm dizzy!

The initial releases were janky as fuck, so part of the point of the merge is to fix the many bugs caused by the devs lack of experience. They're also adding/fixing mechanics that won't have much play in the merge itself, but need to be implemented properly on the ground floor so that they don't bug out and break everything later down the line.

The last few months delay has been due to the project manager getting sick, but if you check the post above yours, you'll see that they haven't just been twiddling their thumbs all this time.

They definatly could have handled this better, but I don't believe it was done out maliciousness, just inexperience.

Hello fellow pervs.. need some help!

I am new to this game, not to ren'py or AVNs

The problem: Cannot start the game (Mac OSX 11.2.3 Big Sur)

What I have done to far:

• I downloaded the full week 1 version, all 17 Gigs of it
• Tried to run EcchiSensei.app
• Got the permissions error
  • Used the well articulated Mac Week 1 fix in the OP, fixed the issue
  • I did NOT download the patch attached to that post yet though
• Tried opening the .app file again. It just flashes as an icon and then poof...goes away
• Then I realized the .app was basicallly empty, and the directory structure usually 'inside' the . app package was littered in the folder (folders like game and lib and other files)
• So I went into the .app and recreated the proper structure and moved the files in the proper structure of autorun etc.
• Still no dice

I am certain I am making a noob mistake. Your help will be hugely appreciated.

Worked up a whole post analyzing just how actively little money Bluecat makes, when you factor in all the fees and taxes and such. Ain't worth it for people like you, take your money from the dev if you want but stop trying to tell people how to spend theirs. It is not your job to be spouting off this thing or that thing, that's my job. If you wanna complain about issues then that's fine, but I do not respect your blatant disregard for the information already provided and your flagrant removal of context.

Also do not talk down to me, you only make yourself out to be a damned child, how I sound on discord and how I am while on this site are two entirely different things. I conduct myself with a bit more tact here, because I'm not surrounded by people I actually give a damn about, I'm trying to follow the site's rules and act respectfully. Hate the game, hate the dev, hate how long this it's taken, but do not assign malicious intent where there is none and there is no evidence of it occurring. Stop making mountains out of molehills, you learned this in school, use your critical thinking cap and function like the adult I assume you are.

Do not diminish the reputation of a dev who has done nothing wrong other than having a hard go at making a game. For fuck sakes people this is as complicated as any other endeavor, and everyone runs into derailments in life. Why is it so much different when it's a porn game? Are your lives really so vacant as to have such an issue with adult entertainment creators, as to blame them for conspiracy and scamming whenever a singular thing goes poorly? What madman assigns guilt to the victim of circumstances beyond their control or scope of reasoning?

I'll tell you, they're called assholes, so please do not sink so low as to become one. Because all an asshole produces is shit, and that's all they ever do. that's the sum total of their worth, is how much shit can they spout off into the world.

The dev is not milking anyone, and they do not need to pause their patreon, people can unsubscribe if they wish but we're back on track for development on the merge-slowly-but there. Do not presume to speak on someone's behalf as to how they should express their finances. It is not your place, ever, to speak on the grounds of what someone can and cannot spend money on if they so choose. The spreading of misinformation is detrimental to the health of a game, to the health of a community, and to the health of all parties involved in its reproduction.

In other words, knock that shit off, and stop being a git.

This is not simply putting one piece together into another piece, it is an entire overhaul of all the issues Ecchi Sensei has been dealing with, all done at one time as the paying subscribers dictated should be done. Its fixing every major and minor bug, its going through line after line of code and adding biography stats, of each day for 21 days, and all the comments that come with it. It's making sure that there is a foundation to what will be done moving forward, its cleaning up old jank ass code for more complex code work that the team learned over time. It's fixing the phone system, making sure music is functioning properly, its making sure this doesn't all catch the fuck on fire when it launches.

It's polishing, its optimizing, it's making the game go from some half embedded rock in the ground into a gemstone. If you do not like what was decided? Tough. Shit. We made our bed and now we're sleeping in it, get over yourselves on the matter and leave the issue of the money alone. Criticize all you wish on how dumb this has gotten, how annoying it all is, how much you wish they could have handled it this way or another way. However, leave the obvious trolling at the door, do not come in here to condescend the person who is here to help, don't diminish the integrity of an artist.

You have no proof of any claims, what you have is hearsay and conjecture, and while technically a form of evidence legally speaking. It is absolutely useless unless backed by much stronger forms of evidence, of which you cannot provide. It is not up to Bluecat to prove jack shit, its up to any of you to prove your point about him, and so far all you people do is regurgitate the same arguments over and over again.

Was that formal enough for you, have I rebuffed you enough times that you will finally stay put? Will you stop trying to sway the opinions of full grown adults, who are within their rights to do whatever the hell they please with their money? Since the original post with the question seems to have been deleted, on the question of Neko Club vs. Female body art club thing - I'm like another poster here, and would love to see both. However, if I *must* pick one, I'll pick the Neko Club.

This is not because I feel it will be the better event (No offense to the Neko girls, but naked girls will always beat maid outfits, cute as they are). It's because it would be a step in the direction of making the Neko club a legitimate club, which I'd like to see happen. Those girls are so saddened by the idea that their club has to remain unofficial, after all.

I also don't remember who is in the art club. Which doesn't help their case.

Who do people think would be up for joining the Neko club with this event, anyway? Considering it was Raven's idea, maybe Emilia? Neko Club could use some more muscle.

No doubt: an Exhibition Art Club. I would love if they make petitions at the school council for dress codes or design skimpy and very, very skimpy school uniforms, at least they can fight the needless underwear. But an Art Club Exhibition is also fine.
