Luckily I only latched onto this game a month or so ago, cause I cannot believe this community A) bitches about delays whil ALSO demanding a 5 new charatcers and a new novel about them every update. I mean it is beyond ridiculous. Harem Hotel managed to provide content, story, character, and heart while being a phenomenal porn game. Where is the balance?! For every 10 lines of sex, there's 200 lines of POINTLESS nonsense and anime wannabe bullshit. Not saying there shouldnt be background, but holy hell there are 40 characters and you only fuck a dozen?? FOCUS ON THE DOZEN and maybe Dev won't freak out after 2 years!

Well, I guess my post was found to be a bit too off beat, ah well back to not giving a shit :3.

To answer some concerns: new characters are mostly done for now, with a few exceptions the majority of the cast has now been introduced during Month 1. The dev wanted to fill out a game with lots of pretty girls, no need to get bent out of shape about it, this shit has to last us another eleven months in game. Just because not all of them get action in their first appearance does not mean they will not be included later.

Also Rando, hair variations mean change ups and the like in every scene and well, that would get out of hand very quickly so it is not a viable option. Maybe with a smaller cast, but not with something this massive. :3

This game plan will be had 365 days,and wym by pointless lines?everything is funny,did you think some ppl play porn games only to f@ps like you?some ppl prefer to enjoy story,and this game what we called character development,not like other game when the dialogue not even funny and the community play the game only for f@p than the enjoy the story.

Only play the game fo f@p?no wonder,i play the game for both of that and enjoy the story,this game what we called character development,you don't like it?just play other game when you only need to choose several choices and you already can fk them up without any consenquences

All game parts are avaiable for download and ready to play. There is imo no need for a merge.
BUT there is a need for new story content!
But after this long time I already gave up to see a "week 4" update ... sadly, because this game was one of my fav´s ...

By they doing the merge,they got stronger foundation and in the future it was lot more easier to add content and the size become more light since they going to reduce hard coding about 90%

While some of the characters were put in as a patreon reward the dev himself wanted this many and more from the beginning, it wasn't the fans that created the "issue" of so many characters (and most of us don't see it as an issue because we like that there're so many and all will have content). Also, somewhere in the options there's a fap mode that skips all story and just shows you sex scenes if that's really all you care about (don't know how well it works cuz I like most here quite enjoy the story but it is there). Lastly, dev isn't freaking out, he just doesn't communicate well and relies on skummy to be his PR here.

No one is demanding new characters. If anything, people were starting to get annoyed at the fan inserts, as a good chuck of them are fairly bland. Fortunately, they're no longer being added.

Personally, I'm cool with the amount. This is supposed to cover 365 in game days, after all, so rushing through a smaller cast would lead to a dead air eventually. At the very least, if you forced me to cut the cast down to a dozen, I'd definitely struggle.

Edit: Also, I think the Fap Mode is busted. At least in my experience, I've only managed to get it working once, and only during Week 1. I think that might be another thing that broke almost instantly after Week 1. Noone seems to have ever brought it up, so I'm not sure that's getting fixed for Month 1. I assume so, but I wouldn't be surprised if noone noticed it didn't work. And incase anyone goes to check it out, it's not Fap Mode, it's unchecking Story Mode.

It has caused a few issues to me. Some characters, main characters, get left out of the game for quite a long time and you tend to forget what their stories were all about when they come back again. But now that most of them are introduced, I assume that the continuity between individual character stories will be more consistent
Either way, I think a niece or someone similar in game is being introduced soon and I personally can't wait for that, she looks really hot

Really looking forward to the niece as well. Also with the sandbox part that's being introduced in the merge (provided it goes how I assume it will, and it actually does get impleented as planned) it'll largely take care of characters being left so long you forget their story because you'll be able to just go visit them.

Yeah, I never used that thing. Instead I just check "skip unread" and hold down CTRL. (Or whatever button skips.)

Thanks. I didn´t know about that keybind. (I know there is a button at the bottom of the screen.) I just never really use it because I easily lose control of the scenes and it´s harder gatting back when you speed past something you want to see.
(It´s great for skipping to choices, but a lot of the nice lewd/ecchi stuff is just in corversations.)

Ya, I only found out about it recently myself and only normally use for stuff I've actually seen before. The control button definitely gives more control over the skipping.

I used to skip on replays, but as the releases got longer, the more stress it put on my fingers. That TAB info was handy. I'll keep that in mind.

Now that someone has brought up the topic though, if you had to cut the female cast down to a dozen, who would you choose?

Kotori, Mika, Aki, Kaede, Saki, and Himiko definitely make the list. Gotta have a couple nekos (probs neko and shina) as well. Can't forget Fuyu and Tomoe. And for the last 2 maybe Rikka and Masae.

FWIW i would like to see a character who is controlled/blackmailed or otherwise brought into sexual contact with Ecchi against their immediate desires at least at first. Right now every girl he meets pretty much immediately falls in love with him. I love the game - just providing my .02 cents.
