Fair point. The overall story is pretty linear at this point. Most choices boil down to interest/disinterest in each of the ladies, the only exceptions that come to mind are choosing the route for Fuyu and Himiko. To me this is a plus, because I don't like replaying games for minor differences.

After replaying the 1st 3 days, I do wish there was slightly more choices. Like I would have wanted to see a "pure" route where you stay 100% faithful to Hiroko, or a "pure" Fuyu where she's the only one you sleep with, etc. Granted, we're only in Week 1 and have not seen much of the MC's past, but he seems to have went from faithful to a man-whore in like 2 days.

Being a pervert doesn't necessarily mean sleeping with everything that has boobs tho Spying on the girls while they're changing (Neko Boobies time!) would also qualify as being a perv.

That was the case in previous version of D1 where MC acknowledges that he feels bad for cheating Hiroko with Principal..but in week 1 that dialogue has been removed and he says that he has cheated on Hiroko in Past and he doesn't feel bad about it that much.

That would be reasonable if the game were only a few weeks long. But would you really stick to such routes if the game goes as long as planned? Granted, BlueCat's creativity makes me believe he could make it compelling, but I prefer things the way they are.

I think it mostly depends on what his endings are going to look like. That is if BlueCat plans on multiple different endings. Currently, the game feels a little closer to a Kinetic Novel (not that it's a bad thing, mind you. Bluecat's storytelling is interesting enough) cause most of your choices are meaningless.

As for if I would play a game that has those choices, resisting the "urge" to screw every girl would be an interesting route to take for me.

I think I get where you're coming from. There are a lot of games that hit most of my buttons but widely miss the mark for one or two, which is exceptionally frustrating.

For me ES is one of very few games that's tailored perfecty to my tastes (compelling story, no stat grind, no need to replay [so far]) so I'm pleased it is exactly what it is.

But that is still not happening, are there still issues, or is week 1 safe to download (uncompressed version). If so, is there some download link. Some link I checked recently was dead because too many people used it.

The compressed versions are working but have a few bugs, the uncompressed version doesn't work. You are better off waiting until the hotfix comes out, this will also be the release of the uncompressed version.

FYI: I've successfully patched the current uncompressed download by copying in the archive_ii.rpa file from the compressed version. That runs successfully. But if I then extract the full current DM patch over that, it breaks again. Merging in just the game folder from the DM archive seems to be working -- I'm about to try playing now!
FWIW, I'm on a Mac but running the "loose" Windows files directly in Renpy.

I can't see how this would work besides turning the uncompressed version into the lightly compressed version

yeah, if u rename using the option thingy, ur name is show on the top of the chat.. but script still call u matsu.. dev team noted the problem..
