You cannot raise your troops above 9999 on Very Hard difficulty or above: Learned that the hard way by playing the game on Nightmare.

We talked about this a few posts ago: There is a Chinese Group that is trying to include the gameplay into the game as well... Godspeed to them! I don't know what they did so far though!

Not the same persay, but I'd recommend Evenicle. It's a eroge visual novel, but also largely a typical JRPG.

Honestly I would just play the base game without patching in the WWX stuff first. Then after you finish, drop the files in. As the WWX stuff starts like 3 minutes into the game when you can pick missions.
