Since the developer seems either unwilling or unable to complete the game, I doubt he wants to work on a remaster of it.
If the developer were to actually pull something like that, he would immediately lose my support. You don't lead someone on a 1000-mile trek and then go back to square one when you've reached milepost #999.
There's literally one update remaining. So if he does return, I can't imagine he won't finish off the game before doing anything else. Last I heard he had health issues, so maybe he'll finish it off at some time in the future? There have been other games that were supposedly abandoned on this site, that subsequently resumed after a gap of several years. So hopefully this will be one of those?
It definitely doesn't need this. It just needs the final update to be released

Yeah, the graphics are certainly outdated. But bearing in mind, that the Dev has kind of disappeared off the face of the earth, and there is only one update remaining with the endings to the game, that most people are interested in. That's not really a very big priority is it? We just want the Dev to come back for a month or two, to finish off this game. In his last post, he claimed he'd already completed over half of the final update when he got sick, so it shouldn't take too long to finish it off?

All Dev here are barely 18...
You can see in every game released,
None of them can really represent adult world
If that's the case, then why are you actually here? Do you just like being negative and slagging people off?
I often criticise certain aspects of games that I enjoy playing, because they're unrealistic. Not because I want to say this game is complete crap, and everyone should give it a wide berth. But because I want to give the Dev some feedback that will hopefully help him to improve his game. I only ever comment on games that I've enjoyed playing in some way. Because if I don't enjoy a game at all, I usually don't want to waste another minute of my time on it. So I just don't understand people who obviously don't enjoy these games at all. Playing them apparently, simply because they want to rip them to shreds afterwards.
These games are made often by people in their spare time, simply for pleasure and to share that pleasure with others. They don't claim to be perfect or works of art. Many Devs know that they have limitations when it comes to storytelling and the technical aspects of creating games. They never claimed otherwise. And for most of them, the main motivation isn't to make money, but to create something they enjoy and share that with others of like mind.
It's possible to enjoy these games for what they are, simply because what the Dev is trying to achieve is a scenario that you enjoy. Yeah as I play, I can see a lot of things that you and others claim is wrong with it. But it doesn't matter because I enjoy the subject matter so much, I can overlook that and correct it in my mind, as I immerse myself in the game.
I also think that being overly critical of a game like this in the eleventh hour, is utterly pointless. Because nothing is going to be changed by it. The time to be critical has come and gone, and anyone who gave this an ounce of thought would realise that. There is only one thing left to be done with this game, and that's for the final update to be released, so those of us who have enjoyed playing it can have the endings we desire
If you read my response properly, you'd see I never claimed there was nothing wrong with the game. I just don't see the point making criticisms about stuff that has zero chance of ever being altered. The Dev is struggling to even complete the final update. So suggesting he go back and overhaul the entire game is just totally unrealistic.
In your original comment, you didn't say anything positive about the game and seemed to imply that anybody who enjoyed playing this game was a complete moron. If you make totally negative statements about things that other people get enjoyment from, then don't be surprised if those people end up judging you negatively

I think you're missing the point. We all want the Dev to come back and complete the final update of this game. And for whatever reason he's not inclined to do so at the moment. Now it could be he's still ill, or he hasn't got the time, he's lost interest or he's depressed. I don't know. But what I do know, is that implying that his product is crap, that he's clueless about sex, and his game needs a total overhaul to be even half decent, is not going to inspire him to take up the mantle again. I don't really care how imperfect this game is. All I know is I've enjoyed playing it, and I want it to be finished. And if praising the Dev a little gets him back in the saddle, then that's what I'm going to do.
If you really want to keep on that criticism equals game is crap, then that is your problem. If you make something and put it out there, you need to be prepared to deal with pushback as well as praise. The game has potential, but always seems to fall short because of the dialogue and the really poor understanding of women that is being portrayed.
If saying that keeps the dev away, then the dev has deeper issues than some random internet person criticizing them.

The thing you need to realize is that whatever you think, or whatever you write here, is unlikely to have one scintilla of effect on the future of this game. We have been waiting for over a year for the developer to complete the final epilogue. We don't even know if he's still amongst the living! If the developer does manage to return to the game, it won't be to rewrite it to your (or anyone else's) satisfaction. Don Quixote had more effect on the windmill than you are having here.
So, criticize away, if you believe your time is well spent in doing so.
That doesn't really matter. I already said earlier that other devs may be looking to copy it in some way and then, my criticisms still stand.
The funny thing is that this argument is never made if someone is making statements that are agreed with. In which case, it's "constructive criticism" or what not. In reality, the same things stands... it doesn't matter one way or another. If that is truly the case though, why have any comment section at all?
Like I also said earlier... I won't fuel an echo chamber. If you like the game, that is fine... my opinion shouldn't change that.

You really think other developers are looking at this thread for constructive criticism of a game that's over 5-1/2 years old? You must really love tilting at those windmills.
People do come here on occasion to say they liked the game; then they leave, most likely never to be heard from on this thread again. Why should we argue or even bother to agree with them? Makes no sense, as it would be a complete waste of time at this point in the game. Others of us defend the game against the occasional troll - not saying that you're one. But you are persistent.
But I don't really see you as attempting to influence developers, but rather to persuade newcomers NOT to play the game.

I'm not claiming to try an influence anyone or that I am a lawyer... Like YOU... I am expressing my opinion on a game. IF some other dev happens to see it, cool... do I expect it? no.
But hey, gatekeep the comments all that you want it still wont stop me from making my own observations.
My argument is
1) I don't really care if random internet person on a fapping forum likes me and my opinion or not but I won't just add to the Dev wanking in an echo chamber. You can all get your jollies that way... I won't
2) The Dialogue and female character writing is horrible in the game we are discussing. Your anger at this wont change that...it is really, truly atrocious. Example - The stereotypical Big Black dick asshole is being an abusive prick so Elena declares "HE'S SO MANLY"...it's cringe at it's finest.
If you feel personally attacked by that... well, that is your problem and in no way mine.
Unless you have something better to offer than butthurt over a comment about a game you have no part in developing, I'm going to just ignore anything else you say.
