I am not about to get into a flame war, but you are cherry picking my review. I wrote a balanced review and complimented the dev on being talented and having the ability to produce a high quality game. I loved this game and was totally into the world buidling but the lame point and click ruined it for me. There is no direction. No hints, you just randomly click things until something happens.

Regardless, this is my opinion. Reviews are there to post opinions. I did not come into this thread and start flaming the game or try to be "toxic". I left my comments in the review thread. I am sorry to break this to you but not everyone is going to like everything you like in life. If you can't handle a difference of opinion, you are not going to get very far in this world.
Missed my point completely, but I knew you would by intention or ignorance, only you know which.
But, yeah, I don't want to get into a war. We have our opinions.

Literally have click on skip on every screen so this version is unplayable.

What about the Shift+G Menu: This is Ren'Py's built-in way for users to deal with display problems.
  • Hold down the Shift key while launching the game, OR press Shift+G once the game is running (if it runs long enough before crashing).
  • It will bring up a menu titled "Graphics Acceleration" . From there, you can select options like "Force ANGLE2 Renderer" or "Force GL2 Renderer". You need to select one, choose "Quit", and then restart the game normally.
No matter what graphic acceleration i choose, still the same error.

There is a difference between "attitude" and when I'm faced with something unreasonable mate. Given the amount of work that went into it, such things are bound to occur with such major work.

And I also see no issue with the patch I provided, which allows you to pretty much resume where you want. You don't need to start from the start. If you have any suggestions on perhaps how to improve chapter selections, sure, I'm willing to listen.

But otherwise just saying what you did while I busted my ass doesn't help either in all honesty.

Also, a little FYI note. Given the fact Elleria flunked in sales, left me in a minus from its overall production, I shouldn't touch it with a ten meter long stick and scrap it, throw it into a fucking trash-can bin and burn it and move on.

Yet here I am, despite all that, despite no profit, giving it giant updates. So, try to understand that as well.
Maybe it would be good if you kept your Patreon Page. Not sure why you took it down. The story is not bad but this game is more of Kinetic Novel and not VN

DLC certainly disagrees with it being Kinetic.

I have no idea what is going on, I tested the compressed version last night (fresh no saves) I get no errors at all. No error clicking in options, no error loading the game, nothing.

That is why I am not confused just mind fucked. Because this seems to be fully isolated cases. I got one complaint.

Then when it ended here, suddenly 50 fucking issues. Whatever the case, I'm working on it right now. I'll just rework few things and make sure that before it all initializes people can choose their renderer.

I don't even understand some of the attitude, over an otherwise solid project. It's one of the rare games we see around here, that actively tried lore building, and a world that make senses... and even more rare one of those fantasy lore heavy AVN that its dev did not just gave up on halfway. Most just do for various reasons. Meanwhile some "top tier" popular projects are run like scams, to the applause of at least some defense force. That said not saying that those are the same people and type of players, obviously... and people have a right to their opinions, but the contrast is a bit surprising.

Edit : Just in case, as i missed most of the "feud" going above. It's not directly tied to any of those recent posts. I just haphazardly browsed through some reactions , and was surprised by some mixed or negative feelings .. Just that, surprised, without feeling like flaming or invalidating them

In my case, on linux it works fine, the old saves don't load, but with the chapter menu I can easily pick up where I left off and continue very close.

I love this novel, even though the new strategic choice/action mode is different, but it still contributes to the masterpiece that is the overall game as a whole.

Only saying! -> (everything can't be problems)

Yeah, happy to hear that. I am so confused how it works for some, and just not for others. But I'm releasing another patch in some minutes on Steam first, it reworks some Python nonsense.

And adds Re-renderer for those who have issue with it.

And yes, it is different. Was meant to basically shape the world with choices and consequences, but rather then going with initial war table idea, I scrapped it and decided to blend VN and Strategy at same.

Triple work for me but... entertaining for you.

uffffff what a letdown, liked the premise and preview shots, downloaded the game, started it obviously too high sound, clicked options to decrease volume and that starts the game ? which i cant even play. straight to bin.

Even the options menu wasn’t safe from The Blight... but we're fighting back!

Renderer Selector & The Blight Cleansing Patch

Gather around Paladins!

Today’s patching spree is all about stability, bug-smashing, and putting an end to the renderer corruption The Blight has been spreading across your systems!

New: Graphics Mode Selector

On first launch (or after resetting Preferences), the game now asks which arcane rendering method you'd like to trust.

Your choices:

  • Auto – Let the Sanctum divine the best choice.
  • ANGLE – Blessed path for modern GPUs.
  • OpenGL 2 (GL2) – For older relics that still endure.
  • OpenGL (GL) – Ancient fallback—only if all else fails.

If you've encountered black screens, crashes, or strange artifacting, this selector might be your salvation.

Textbox Opacity Purification
Some players reported crashes when adjusting textbox opacity.
Turns out The Blight had its claws in the UI.
We’ve exorcised the issue. The setting now initializes properly and no longer causes chaos.

General Cleansing & Safety Rites

Removed lingering renderer code corrupted by the Old Code.


Ensured that all renderer choices are preserved safely. No more overwriting your sacred save files.

This patch should:

  • Eliminate crashes caused by incompatible or cursed graphics renderers.
  • Resolve opacity-related exceptions haunting the Preferences screen.
  • Make startup smoother for all chosen warriors of Elleria.


IMPORTANT:
If you played a previous version, delete your persistent data and reinstall the game to fully purge any lingering corruption.

Problem is that we are 6 months later, we don't understand where we are, what happened during the past 6 months, What his ultimate goal is or what is he fighting for as it's never been clearly explained to us, it's always been cryptic. So how de we make those choices if we know nothing about past, present and future?

That is why I'm not offering you strategy only, and that is why I'm blending standard VN with it. This is why you have scenes, conversations.

You will get the information, bit by bit as you proceed with DLC. Also, I am doing my best to provide you with lore behind WHERE you are and WHY you are.

For example, Act I of Wheel of Fate. When you're offered choices to tell you about regions you're seeing... each tells you lore behind it.

The Thar'Kazir Wastes—once lifeless, now the Sanctum of the One.
Eliot(or your custom name) claimed this desolation and turned it into holy ground. The faithful gather here, drawn by the new doctrine."
But enemies encircle it. And the sands hide more than bones...


You also know about "past" because in scene after specific strategy is done, you have a conversation with Aria who questions him about the whole "Wheel" and where has he been, what happened, why did he vanish after Falangor. And he speaks on this.

Either way, don't worry about it. It will be covered, just pay attention to dialogues even during strategy mode. I will not leave you without information.


As for his ultimate goal, that would be a spoiler but I believe the Wheel of Fate DLC hints you heavily at that... as you're basically continuing the crusade you started at end of Book 1, Chapter 5. As for his ultimate goal... that would mean you're asking me what is the One's ultimate goal, as Eliot is just his chosen / emissary / blade.

And that is the trick, that even Eliot doesn't know. But hence the whole DLC that starts to dig deeper into this, The One wants the world restored, in harmony, his faith restored.

But you don't need to do that, DLC choices clearly show you that The One has to abide by the principle of "Free will must not be intervened." hence why you have so many branches and choices.

I hope this gives you some clarify on things, I could explain it all but I don't want to spoil things.
