By looking at your image I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was using the application in the main folder Esteria-Chapter5-pc instead of the subfolder Esteria-Chapter5-pc found in the folder Esteria-Chapter5-pc. Thank you

It seems if you click the button a few times (slowly) you'll briefly see the text change into a 3 second countdown before changing back. When you click again it will start the download process.

This creator like most just abandons there work. Really I think its cause the get bored or don't have an idea where to go forward.

i just assumed it was cause his other game is making bank...at least before the rework but even right now he seems to be doing good.

nah, the reason is it wasnt as profitable from the very start as he wanted for it to be.
so he started another project wiich is doing much better (hit all necessary kinks/buttons to gather supporters crowd) so he probably wont ever come back to this one regardless of what he might say...
as simple as that.

Very nice sis & mom I think. Sis is cute & pretty, mom has allure. Being a woman of stature contributes to that I think. Was looking forward to developments, but alas, story never got this far. Maybe someday?

Because the last update was 4 years ago. Games with that long of a time between updates, regardless of anything a dev may say, are marked as Abandoned according to F95 site rules.
I think they meant why did the developer abandonned it.
I belive it was because the developer didn't find Esteria popular enought or favored working on their current project, Family Faring, abandonning this one in the process. They did promised to come back to this one, but the likelyhood of that happening are sadly quite obvious.
