The Ironlily illustration is dated March, 2023. Don't know who inspired who, or where both of them might have been inspired by someone else (might have been a discussion long ago about characters in some sci-fi kind of thing that links it, but don't remember), but saw the Ironlily yesterday.

But in Eternum your Entire body goes into sleep and you feel what's happening in game, The case is in Eternum the only way you log out is going into an Exit portal, you can't just log out in the middle of game (cause if you shut the Device down you might go to coma or die)
And the killing thing is Part of the Game, (technically there are safe servers where killing is not allowed) even though you die, it really won't kill you IRL

But that said people are overthinking this. Its a porn game and a fun harem romp. This is similar to a lighthearted action anime where you can just sit back and have fun playing. The storytelling is fun, I like the characters and the game looks pretty. I dont want to ruin it by overthinking every little aspect.

First time, sure. Second, third, fourth...yeah if there's no fear of permanent death then I suppose desensitization starts to kick in the way Soulsborne or Roguelite vets treat it like simply a matter of inconvenience, regardless of the pain that's felt prior to flatlining (assuming the person feels it anyway, given that some deaths could be so quick that the brain might not even register any sort of pain from the incident).
That would only be the case if deaths were instant but they are not instant. We have seen people fight with bullets and swords. Getting shot and not dying instantly or getting speared through the gut and slowly bleeding out is not something you can get desensitized to. Stuff like Jerry's deaths are played off as a joke and it works since this is a lighthearted novel but it is not realistic and it does not need to be.
Like I said earlier, this is ultimately just a lighthearted adult vn. We should all just enjoy the ride and the cute girls without overthinking every little detail. Trying to make it realistic and imagining characters like luna and annie capable of inflicting pain and torture completely ruins it for me. So I just treat the game as the lighthearted anime-like game it is and dont overthink things like player deaths.
