Can't wait for this game to come out. It's a shame we have to wait nearly a month for it to be released for free players, but that's not gonna stop me from downloading 0.3 if it gets leaked (counting on my fellow Patreon pirate homies).
That being said, would you guys say this game was better than OIALT? Maybe it's just the memories/ nostalgia, but I remember it being much more humorous comparatively. While the story is definitely a unique take, it's not like OIALT story was any less engaging.
It is nice to see how much Carbidis has improved in terms of graphics/ visuals, and I hope this trend continues in the future. Also, it's incredibly unfair that he takes so long (4 months!) to release these updates. Someone should lock him in the basement and make him churn out updates non-stop for us fans.

Pretty sure its just SA, but its fiction. Tho it is weird if you really think about it. considering how this type of stuff in pornography and hentai is pretty much normalized

OIALT is fully completed and Eternum is only near 0.3 so it's kinda early to compare

For me OIALT was funnier from the get go, the MC had way more personality and was likeable instantly because of his self-deprecating humor. The jokiness isn't mandatory – there can be stories that are more serious but then you have to come up with other things to make people like the MC.

OIAL was great but too humoristic/silly for me. In Eternum it's toned down a bit for now, I hope it stays like this.

I agree with what you said. It was a bit harder to like Orion at first comparatively, because of the way he just fit into stereotypes. But with 0.2, we started learning that there might be more to the picture - not only because of what happened on Ogygia but also because of Nora's investigation on him. And like others said, it's too early in the story to decide anything yet - lets wait and see how things turn out.
It's evident that Caridbis is going down a different path with this game, and I, for one, am very invested in this.

Technically you could call it Alpha since it's the first 0.3 release, and all the releases before 1.0 are beta
But the important thing is, it's out

I wish, 0.2 was shared three days after the release so i'm guessing it will be the same for this one (90$ a month is pretty huge ngl)
I actually said it as a way to make those who do not have access to the game now feel less bad
