I'm here to share with everyone what a great guy Caribdis is (if you didn't know that already). I became his patron on May after the breathtaking experience of playing Eternum and Once in a Lifetime. I pledged a yearly Master tier membership thinking that this is the kind of creator that deserves a long support. Unfortunately, I later realized that switching back to monthly isn't possible. This was a kick in the bum for me because I really wanted to play Eternum 0.4 as early as I can but paying a yearly fee for an upgraded tier was going to put some presssure on my wallet.

Then I found out then I can get a partial refund, cancel my annual membership, and start a new monthly membership, but only at the creator's discretion. I hesitantly approached Caribdis via Patron message explaining my situation without too much hope. However, just a few hours later, he replied back to me, saying he already gave me the refund and even thanking me for the support! Man, was I impressed. Caribdis is definitely someone who will not dissapoint you and I am so thankful that I found his games. He is a once in a lifetime content creator and his works will echo in eternum. Thank you for reading this.

I'm not someone that usually comments after playing, but DAMN. Caribdis really makes a GREAT job. After playing Eternum, I was hesitant to play Once in a Lifetime (because of the graphics), but some minutes in the game and I was already hooked again because of the comic timing, the writing and the girls. Once In a Lifetime was a wild ride. I played the game and ended with Lauren, but after playing again and in a harem route, damn, that was a better ending.

Eternum have much more potential than Once In a Lifetime, so I literally couldn't be more excited to resume my play. It's literally a game that I play for the plot and the history rather than the sex scenes.

it will, most likely, be here before it releases publicly
Yep, but Caribdis would be mad again(i don't want the dev to get stressed) like what happened last time in v0.3 if someone leak it early. I mean he still need to run the business or a fair system because we all know there are more leecher than supporter i for one is a leecher. Not to mention that would be unfair for the supporters if ever we get the update early. If i remember correctly the update would most likely to appear between Eternumite or Master level. I don't know if there's a Founder level here at F95Zone.to i mean Carib can't get mad on a Founder if he leaks the update he is like the pillar of the project.

Yes, the last leak was a kick in Caribdis balls. Beta leak from his highest tier is kinda dick move, not that i would complain... :lepew:

I will not add anything new, but I completely agree with you. I want to play 0.4 as soon as possible, but I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for the public release. I don't see any need for anyone to leak a version earlier than the official release date, especially if it might offend the developer directly. Come on, Caribdis already works with incredible speed and productivity and jumps above head every time, making each new version better and better. If it was a standard developer (based on what I've seen on this forum) we would have to wait MUCH longer than we are usually waiting for update.

I don't see the moral dilemma. The supporters pay to support the creator and the project, they don't pay to get the update. I agree that leaking the beta, especially considering it lasts only two days, isn't optimal but from the moment the beta ends it's fair game.

I really don't want to be the enemy here right after just introduced myself, but can you guys stop this Hypocritical White knight thing in a god damn Pirate forum?!.
Here is the thing, and this is not just for this particular game or developer, but for every co-founding project. People who can afford to support them, They will and they want but, they not pay for the game they support the development.
I would totally understand that for small indie developer, it would be a much harder thing, if they only get money in the month when they release the episode, and if that case someone "leak it", then Yes that can be a big incom loss for the developers.
However, that's Not the Case with the Patreon. This is a constant Subscription, a constant support, even when there is nothing in exchange. So their income, not coming from the actual release of the game but for the support between the updatets. :).
In most cases the only one who's feeling is hurt are the "extreme" tier patreons, but they are usually not even in here.
In the end, let's leave to to everyone own compunction, but let's stop the Guilt tripping, in a pirate forum, shall we:LOL:

Yeah, I got your point but my opinion won't change. Anyway, there always will be leaks of everything and this thing is almost cant be controlled I believe.

There are many good games on the site to play, we can wait for it to be released here closer to the official public release date. The guy totally deserves to earn for his work as his games are great so yeah, i'm totally fine with waiting.

I for one also hope that it at least doesn't leak as early as it did last time. Yes, this is a pirate site, yada, yada.
Cari has said that he plans to take a vacation a few days after the public release and I feel like an early leak like last time would be a sour start to a vacation.
I feel like he deserves to get a good break in.

While there is piracy here, this is also a valuable marketing platform which exposes the author's work to donors and freeloaders alike. And that is a good thing for a developer who has no other means of commercially releasing their work through normal commercial channels like Steam or Epic.

Honestly, I think a lot of games in this forum would not have been very successful if not for erotic games portals like F95.

While I have a lot of respect for the Caribdis donors here, I think everyone in this forum both donors and freeloaders are helping this game rank high in search engines and erotic games list. And if you think that's not enough support from the freeloaders, positive reviews, comments and posts I think help a lot in marketing this game, which continues to be essential in eventually selling this to those who can afford it through Patreon etc.

So pat in the back to all of you.
