The reveal was there to point out how dangerous William Bardot really was and how much he really knows what's going on behind the scenes. Throughout the game we've basically ignored William as the kind of person who is so absorbed in the business so much that he cares only about making decisions that would benefit him in the pursuit of such at the cost of everything else (like controlling Alex's behavior to make her look "presentable" and show to aspiring business partners that he has a model family and such, or snapping at Axel back at the Ulysses party when he thinks his son is becoming irrational like his sister). In 0.5 we get hints that he may be plotting to undermine the Founder and take over the company, and the Axel conversation in 0.6 confirms it, but still we were kept in the dark as to how much he really knows what's going on.I'm late to the party but I just finished my 1st playthrough and god dammit, this game is perfect!
My only, tiny, problem was with the ending of 0.6. The "big reveal" is...?You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

And that's just on top of my head.
I always thought that it was OBVIOUSYou don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Just to compare a bit:

The episode was amazing, and with the scene with Alex that just unfolded, nobody can really complain with this ending. I just found it "underwhelming" in term of teaser., but everybody know that at this point. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

ps: Sorry for all the spoiler tags, I'm not sure about the rules so I don't want to break one!
Also, the way the final scene presents it is that William seems to know EVERY move that Orion has done even in moments where he was careful in covering his tracks (i.e. in the Ulysses party where Orion thought the mask disguised who he was) or when there was no indication that he was being monitored (i.e. the visit to Wyatt's former home in the real), as if William was able to watch him in and out of Eternum without issue. So how does he? Well, that's a mystery that we'll like find the answer to in a later update.
Not to mention the fact that the ending basically makes the danger a lot more real in a way. Past updates the endings are just that - Eternum-related stuff that either deepen or reveal a little more about the mystery. Here? Orion is basically put in a bind where he is surrounded by William and a bunch of guys with guns. Real guns. Guns that could kill. "Well, Orion has plot armor nothing bad will happen to him." Well we don't know that. In 0.3 a lot of the community thought that the person knocking the door was Chang or Chop-chop or someone that we knew because we thought Cari was setting up a joke moment at the beginning of 0.4. Nope, it was a member of the Syndicate, and so the scene went from a potential joke moment to a creepy-ass moment because Cari loves his horror as much as he loves making jokes. "But Cari won't be dumb enough to kill Orion here, that would just end the story!"
/points to the conversation thread some pages back (scroll down to the first post made by user named 'Lilybelle' to start) that speculate on what happens if Orion DOES end up hitting the bucket at the beginning of 0.7
So yeah, ANYTHING can happen, but I'm expecting the worst so.../shrugs
