I wonder if Caribdis plans how many sex scenes each update gets or if those are entirely dependent on the story plans.
Likely the former, though from my understanding he likely has a bucket list of scenes that he jots down and leaves to percolate until its time to decide what to use. Keeps things fresh and gives him a bit of elbow room in case he needs to improvise.I wonder if Caribdis plans how many sex scenes each update gets or if those are entirely dependent on the story plans.
"Out of character?" "Jarring behavior?" Really?Welp, I finished 0.7.5, and I actually think there's less of a cliffhanger here than the last version.

Reposting what I said a while back on the matter...
He's supposed to care. Problem is when you consider that he's taking William's revelations and the findings from Ekabar into account, coupled with his growing complacency due to his "wins," his growing powers, and how he easily scores with the LI's, and it pretty much doesn't come as a surprise that he would act like how he acted this patch (that being a person who's willing to be a lot more "rapey" and more focused on the gem hunt to the point that he disregards his harem's feelings or become a lot more vocal with his irritation towards people like Chop Chop). Simply put, he basically acted less like Orion Richards and more like his mythological namesake...up until he gets his comeuppance by the end of this patch. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. It enabled his thinking that he can pretty much do anything and "win," which pretty much lines up to why he got shot by the end of the patch. Doesn't help that Penny got turned on by that stunt instead of reprimanding Orion for it.Stacking up wins doesn't naturally make someone prone to sexual assault. If this is truly a core belief of yours, then I don't know what to tell you.
The man got handed a time limit to a quest by someone who's been giving them the slip for a while. Given Orion's behavior this patch (plus the compounded annoyance that he felt for El Coyote), he likely took that as a challenge before Nan made him realize that he got tunnel vision for it.Also, stacking up wins doesn't naturally make someone suddenly indifferent about a date and likely sexy times that they were looking forward to a matter of hours ago. I mean, is this guy a horndog or isn't he? You seem to be arguing both sides of this depending on how it suits you at the moment.[
Again, time limit (and getting tunnel vision for it).The callousness to Nova and their date also seems out of character given that the MC has been growing closer and more invested in the girls as the game progresses, not less. There has been no build up of scenes where the MC grows more distant or more removed from the girls and their feelings. Quite the opposite, there has been a steady build up of him being more invested in them. Hence, the callous moment with Nova is jarring.

Also, if you checked the screenies I've posted, Orion basically outlined 2 goals for his Kredon trip: a) getting laid, and b) making a name for himself. So no, I'm not arguing both sides when it suits me when it's Orion himself who had wanted both since the beginning. And winning El Coyote's challenge and putting the gem hunt as priority is basically in service to goal no. 2. It's also why he got weirdly invested when the people at the tavern started talking about his alias and if someone like him could stand against Wyatt.

And saying he naturally has tunnel vision for obeying El Coyote's order when he's previously shown overwhelming tunnel vision for the girls doesn't make sense and is inconsistent for the character.
What that planning scene mostly established is that at least three of the girls just love to munch a muffin. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Yeah, but it also established that Orion doesn't shy away from snapping at the girls when focusing on the more important matters. That behavior with Nova this patch definitely didn't come out from nowhere. The only difference being that it's worse this patch due to Orion's bad behavior and tendencies now amplified and coming out of the woodwork. What that planning scene mostly established is that at least three of the girls just love to munch a muffin.![]()
You have to remember that the player is not the MC. The player gets more information. So regarding the incident with Nova, the player knew that the meeting would be very special for her, but MC did not know that.I don't immediately recall the details of the Nova incident, i.e. exactly how he treated her badly, but I'll say this: no one is perfect, almost everyone acts like an ass at times. What matters most is how they deal with being called on it.
Orion has been becoming more arrogant as he gains power and achievement. We may not have seen the last of him acting in ways that make us question his character. But underneath he is still a good person and will not go down the dark path.
I think what he's referring to is that we as players see Nova's POV where she frets and plans for the One Piece date to make sure it's absolutely perfect only for Annie to torpedo that by giving her the news of the finale's delay. Orion doesn't see that (and only hears some details about it from her mother), so he doesn't completely understand that the date means THAT much to her (especially since we see that she was planning to confess and punch out her v-card if things went well).I remember nothing.
(about that particular incident)

Quite true. Sometimes, it takes a little hindsight to figure out you were acting like a regular turd. Still, as Dorfnutter has pointed out (and meticulously illustrated), I'd say MC's growing arrogance, to the point of near-impudence, has been integrated into the plot since early on. He has been defined from the start by his wille zur macht, for good and bad, and it's no wonder that, having experienced some success in Eternum and in love, he's got a big head. I'd expect that being gut shot as a result of this hubris is the crisis that leads to a narrative 'pinch point' in which the MC begins to reassess his priorities. Maybe even has some kind of epiphany about the nature of Eternum itself. My guess is he 'logs on' to Eternum (without equipment) and experiences some kind of out-of-time purgatory, reflecting on the behaviour which led him here, before being healed somehow. Don't think Penny will be the one to do it, though, as Doorknocker suggest. The player may choose to have her learn destructive magic, rather than restorative magic, at the end of the Warthogs Triwizard event. It's also technically possible to leave the server without completing the event.I don't immediately recall the details of the Nova incident, i.e. exactly how he treated her badly, but I'll say this: no one is perfect, almost everyone acts like an ass at times.
