I audibly went "Noooo" when i hit the cliffhanger, this game is so much fun and Im gutted that we're now in update purgatory

All the LI's are great in their own way, the only one who i don't love is Nancy, but i've never been one for MILFs and unless i've missed stuff her character isn't much more than protective mum who fucking loves sex

Alex gives me Quinn from BaDik vibes, extremely tough exterior but a sensitive, emotional person at heart, her saying I love you was a great payoff. I think Quinn saying it would mean more, but it's a different type of game and you spend a lot more time with her. I also don't think she has a pregnancy scare, i think it was a joke to make MC reflect more, he does in the next sex scene. Don't get me wrong he goes back to filling the whole immediately, but he hesitates

Dalia and Penny trying to play hard to get but being smitten with MC is fun, only downside is that due to the Patreon rules there'll be no threesomes with them :(

Luna, Annie and Nova are all just delights. The scene with Annie standing up for herself was amazing. Caly also starting to fall for a human is great too.

I probably don't play the game the same as most, for me, it's a fun experience so i don't pay much attention to plotholes and the such, compared to say BaDik which is a lot more grounded, it's obviously not realistic, but you're not fucking people on different astral planes. I'm interested to see how the reveal of everyone fucking MC plays out, tho i feel like they all suspect it. I think Luna and/or Dalia get jealous, but come round. I also think a scene where you have to choose one LI would be interesting, but heartbreaking but won't happen

Quick predictions for future story
Caly is banished and forced to live on Earth
Idres is the founder in another body, guiding MC
Thanatos is Alex's dad, controlling the body of a dead human
Penny or Dalia have a legitimate pregnancy scare

(general commentary on the Annie/Orion waitress debate)

Annie's reaction to Orion flirting with the waitress when he's supposed to be on a date with her – her not having arrived at that point is irrelevant – is fully in character for her. She can accept him being interested in the rest of the girls in their group because she knows they all have a real bond (though at the moment he's not openly with any of them – none of them know for sure that he's been with anyone but them, as far as I am aware). The waitress is a random. If Annie is so unimportant to him that he would, to all appearances, be willing to have sex with a random – which is exactly what the waitress was aiming for and she was not shy about making that obvious, so this was not innocent flirting that was never intended to go anywhere – why would she want to be with him?

The fact that they've been friends for so long, with them recently admitting their feelings, makes it more likely, not less, that this behaviour would snap her back to friend mode. She let herself be vulnerable and at the first opportunity he's considering propositions of sex from a waitress at the restaurant where they're having their first proper date.

This is different to previous experiences with Eva and Maat. Orion wasn't romantically involved with any of the girls at that point. He had no idea of any of them having an interest. He was a free agent. With the waitress, in context of where they are in their relationship at that time, his flirting would constitute a major betrayal of Annie's trust.

It's true that stories do not have to be realistic, but they should be internally consistent. And that reaction is internally consistent with Annie's character and her relationship with Orion.

I think it a little odd that an opportunity to exit the relationship with Annie was offered so late in the day. If you're committed to the date surely you want to follow her path. So it being an option was a surprise. But her reaction if you flirt, that was not.

What? I genuinely don't know what point you're trying to make.

When you create a reality for a story, you have to set the rules of that reality and then follow those rules, only breaking them with good reason, or you lose immersion. If one of the rules is "guy is head of a harem which openly includes several women," then having one of those women completely cut out because of a pretty minor incident seems odd. Again, no issue with her being mad or it causing conflict, just the complete cut off seems too far to me.

But if one of the other rules is "master of the harem is caring and protective of his girls," then having him want them to feel comfortable and loved and feel good when they're having sex makes perfect sense. It's completely within the rules of the story's reality. Just because a story differs from objective reality doesn't mean nothing matters and it's a total free for all.

ETA: I really hope this isn't what you're going for, but on the off chance you're equating taking a girl's virginity with no warmup to flirting with a waitress then you're way off the deep end and we're having completely different conversations.
The point I was making was that even if the game has fantastical elements and has its own rules as you have pointed out, there are still certain common sense things that exist in our reality that are still true in the setting.

Such as not trying to penetrate a virgin without proper foreplay/lubrication.

Or making sure you don't betray a person's trust when they tell you their personal server's password.

Or meeting up with a girl that you know hates a love interest who is into you, and that she's willing to do petty shit in order to make said love interest miserable.

Or flirting with someone else when you're with a date with a special someone.

Just common sense things, really.

Interesting to see a different take on part of the update I did not like. I hadn't heard of The Stanley Parable. This provides context which might make that section more fun on a second go.

And while I did not enjoy most of that sequence, I liked drug user Luna and drunk Dalia.

How do i fix this. This error happened when i tried to load a save after the 0.8 update
Did you have any mods installed for the previous version?

I think that the main problem of that part is, that you kinda need to know (and like) The Stanley Parable or that part will likely just be confusing and move from confusing to annoying when it restarts. Add to that some of the NRT undertone and I can understand that a lot of people don't like it...which on the other side is kinda the point of that bit to begin with, because Orion also doesn't like what he sees. :HideThePain:

Regarding the part in the restaurant: How can you not shoot down that waitress as much as possible when you're on a date with one of the girls and then be surprised about the outcome?

It's like the first rule you ever learn about going on a date, you don't even get taught it, its common sense lmao

I didn't knew about Stanley parable but still liked the concept of nightmare loop showing Orion's greatest fears. It was necessary for him to know how much he can lose and really pushed him a lot

Weird that there's people that dont know Stanley Parable, it was such a viral game back in the day and it even got a remaster with a lot of new content.
Such a smile was brought to my face when the two elevators referencing the two doors from the game appeared, I sincerely recommend to check the game if you havent, it will also make the whole sequence in Eternum much more fun.
