You are clearly very new in the wonderful world of adult VN's....Dayum!!! Wtf?!!! That long?!! I just can't wait anymore lol
I don't know...I realize more and more that I don't try to get all the paths in branching games anymore. Some of the most extreme examples would be BaDIK or ORS and for the former I still haven't played all the branches of the last update and for the latter I settled with one path and didn't do any other.Branching is good on and off paper and the game would be objectively better if it had better branching (incentive to play non harem paths).
Yep that's the problem or balance for VN's to have the right mix of meaingfull choices and atleast immersive choices(flavor)I don't know...I realize more and more that I don't try to get all the paths in branching games anymore. Maybe if the game is done and you really want to enjoy it to the last with a considerable time investment. But branching also means the player has to go through a lot of the same content multiple times, which either lets it grow old very fast or leads to skipping large parts of the game, which hampers the immersion in my opinion.
Add to that some unskipple BS like the some of the mini-games in BaDIK and it gets really annoying.
So the way Cari does it with Eternum by focusing in one main "canon" branch has some downsides, but I wouldn't fully agree that branching out makes very game better at least not with tons of caveats around it.
On the other hand I have to admit that the choices in Eternum are arguably the weakest part of the game, because a lot of them are either insignificant or the right one is very obvious which also makes them kinda pointless.
That is the implication, yes (and would explain why certain assets from various IP (like the Exit Portals being Nia's Chakrams from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Annie's swords back in Ion being the floating swords that androids used in Nier Automata) could be found in Eternum).Late to the party. Suddenly noticed something and wanted to see if there are other references or not.
Please forgive my lack of context in case things are explained clearly later on.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
0.8.5 IS the Public Release version of 0.8. It's numbered that way because that's how Cari numbers the versions that come out for certain tiers and all.I don't understand how we have here 0.8.5 here but there's nothing mentioned about this update on patreon or any other platforms, like dev log's ot progress report. 0.8 update became public only few days ago and like, even if you wanna pay for patreon and download it from there or buy it on itch there's no way. The latest version mentioned there is 0.8???
Agreed. Eternum feels like Dev maxed out all stats other than "choices". Don't get me wrong the game is still a 10/10 and vastly superior to other games but it does feel like a Honey select slice of life anime/show more than a video game. That being said everything else is top tier.On the other hand I have to admit that the choices in Eternum are arguably the weakest part of the game, because a lot of them are either insignificant or the right one is very obvious which also makes them kinda pointless.
Make sense, at first he was going for 18-20+ updates but since each one is 1k+ renders, the quantity of total updates lowered
android is english only, you would have to find a fan-translated versionCan I select languages in the Android game? or I need to download a certain translated edition?
Cari would have to get on his potato of a computer, find the files, and figure out the cards he put to the characters from the last game and he's already stated that he's not doing a remake.I know there was a cameo at the beginning of the game, and it's too soon for talking about the endings, but...
wouldn't be... great....
to have the protagonists of Once in a Lifetime and Eternum meet each other at the end of the game, and share their tales?
I mean, i know this ending will never happen, but...
never stop dreamin', right?
I agree 100%. I'm flabbergasted as Orion keeps touching walls and bed frames instead of the girls until it's time for him to cum.The only thing I miss is more groping and build up to sex scenes. Most of the time is just story then suddenly fucking and continue of story.
For example heart problems is a good build up. Maybe a little much but its sets the mood
I wasn't talking about a remake. Just an ending where both groups meet.Cari would have to get on his potato of a computer, find the files, and figure out the cards he put to the characters from the last game and he's already stated that he's not doing a remake.
So you'll find the characters chillin like a villain, illin' on penicillin, in other games while Cari is focused on this game and the next after that.
I understand, but he used HS1 to make OIALT. With Eternum using Honey Select 2, it would require a bit of work to convert everything in order to make that a possibility. I'm sure President Stabby was a strong exception and references can be made but it's not likely he'd want to two groups to meet with all the issues that would arise to create it.I wasn't talking about a remake. Just an ending where both groups meet.
