If you do add spider girls then add a skip function though it would be smarter to not add them at all, they arent enjoyable no matter how well rendered plus some people (like me) find them disgusting, how some people want them in porn games defies logic...
With that logic, you could say that about any fetish that is beyond vanilla. "How some people want *fetish_name* in porn games defies logic..." That's just a kink shaming, which is not really cool.
I think it all comes down to labor efficiency and appropriate setting. If I were making a fantasy game, I'd almost certainly add spider girls here because personally I find them attractive (and they fit into fantasy pretty well as magic monster girls). But in my project - in theory, the setting could allow this, but I'm not sure about it yet.

That's the beauty of writing a fantasy story - you can add whatever you want into it without breaking immersion. Imagine if someone told Tolkien that adding in dwarves to Lord of the Rings was a bad idea because someone didn't personally like them.

Karl made the mistake of generalizing the audience's response to a specific fetish. Just because he doesn't like spider girls doesn't mean a vast majority agree with him. Additionally, it generally a really bad idea to try and prevent an artist from pursuing something they personally enjoy (imagine telling a engineer they shouldn't build something because you don't like it...)

You should always pursue things that interest you personally regardless of what others want or don't want :) You'll find that as you gain more experience in developing AVNs that when a dev is passionate about their project they typically produce much better quality content.

Well, it's been a while since I played this game, so I wanted to know how it's progressing. Do you have any plans for the next update?

Dont be a jerk man,you have to be deranged to find spiders sexually pleasant, plus with that logic anything can be "kink shaming"which it isnt here, some people have arachnophobia and can actually suffer for those but guess you care more about "kink shaming" than people's safety and wellbeing huh?

I gave explicit reasons for it that goes beyond dislike but you really want to oversimplify and generalize things to "prove" your point, pathetic attempt. Plus no a majority of people dislike spiders, add to that those with arachnophobia.

You gave biased reasons for your personal dislike of spider-girls and made this generalization:
some people (like me) find them disgusting, how some people want them in porn games defies logic...
If you feel that my response is a personal attack against you then don't let me stop you from living rent free in your head. The "point" being that you believe you're representing a sizable subset of people who dislike a fetish to the point of voicing your opinion. However, if you want an objective example of where my argument came from then look no further than the "NTR" tag.

Some advice moving forward: you are entitled to your personal opinion regarding what kinks/fetishes you want to see in a title. However, it is always a bad idea to claim you represent a group of people. Additionally, you're not required to keep following a project if it includes things you feel so strongly about.

Have a happy thanksgiving and try not to let things get you so worked up :)

Is there an official documented list of fetishes that makes it possible to realize are you deranged or not? I'd really like to see it

I don't force people to play something they might not like. If a game has tags you don't like, you just ... don't touch it. Simple, right?
I care. That's why dev can put a warning about relevant content at the beginning of the game, like I did with violence and explicit content. Or put a check that clarifies whether the main character likes spider girls or not. Based on this, the game will understand whether to give the player a chance to hook up with such a character, or keep him at a respectful distance. Lots of options besides "skip or don't add at all."

Just to thow my $0.02 in since we're having this discussion anyway - I for one am a bona fide arachnophobe; if I ever die in an inexplicable sudden car crash, let it be known it would have most likely been caused by seeing a tiny spider descend from my rear-view mirror and promptly swerving off the road in abject panic. I would have a serious issue sleeping in a room where I saw a spider skitter into hiding out of view. And yet somehow I STILL manage to find spider girls attractive instead of repugnant (well, within reason... most of the time...)

I am exactly the same way i am not fond of spiders at all, they creep me the hell out, but a spidergirl? All of a sudden I am fine with that, i dunno how to explain it.

I've been pondering this question for a while now. Why do some people like characters who have traits they don't find attractive, like, at all.
It's probably some kind of psychological uga-buga stuff that I don't know much about, like death goes hand in hand with life, you can't have ugly things without beautiful things and vice versa, stuff like that. But I've come to one conclusion for me personally. Take this case, for example (TRYPOPHOBIA WARNING)

I am very uncomfortable with trypophobia, and I often get goosebumps when I see all sorts of holes where they don't belong. But in this girl's case, I don't feel any of that. Not because "he-he, she's THICC, have boobies and stockings so I'll just ignere the head part and tentacles." But because she can also have her own personality, dreams and goals. She may well enjoy her job and she likes delivering food and drinks to visitors (let's say she's a waitress at a coffee shop) and brave enough to wear clothes that might not fit her physiology. And if she's also kind and caring, that's just perfect.
All of these factors add up and make her an appealing character for me, plus I try to stick to the "don't judge a book by it's cover" rule.

So, do I find trypophobia fapable? Not in the slightest.
Will I let this trypo monster girl fap me after we get to know each other better? Hell yeah!

The next update 0.02.1is already out for patrons, and it will be freely available in december. But it will be more of a technical update with edited dialogs and in-game text as well as a couple of new mechanics. I'm currently rendering scenes to move the story forward, but it's hard to say when that will be ready. In my "Dev notes" on Boosty or Patreon that come out every two weeks I will talk in more detail about the status of the project.

I think it's also the fact that well obviously none of this is real, so that's very disarming this spider girl is not a real spider she is just a drawing, a bunch of pixels and also the forbidden fruit trope. Humans are often drawn to things they can't have or are not allowed to have or they shouldn't be doing. It's the old conundrum of no one wants to see a mangled body in a car crash, yet 9 out of 10 people will still look at the car crash as they drive by.

For instance i like games like Monster Girl Quest, Succubus Covenant, Succubs Prison, etc... all these games have in common 2 main things, first monster girls obviously and secondly they tend to result in death by snu snu trope. Now do i wanna die having sex IRL? Hell no, well maybe when i am 70 and surrounded by beautiful women, but seriously no i dont want to die in any way even that way, however it all being a fantasy in a video game it removes that element of being real, it allows you to explore that fantasy in a safe environment free of any consequences.

A spider gilr or any other monster girl for that matter, not matter how dangerous in the game is not dangerous IRL because it's not real, it doesn't exist, it allows you to enjoy and explore said fantasy free of any consequences...

Anyway i think I revealed enough about myself as is...Now let me tell you about why i love vore!
