Everything changes 2.9 version (the newest one), enjoy it mates.

Thank you for taking away my support! The game goes free every month (the latest version after two months, but in rotation every month comes out a free), I do this especially for people who can’t afford it financially, I don’t do it to earn money, but what little I took of the game I used to renew the technology that I use and leave a small incentive that in addition to helping me live better gave me the incentive to work on the game. Remember that because of people like you, who can not wait, that some games die. Enjoy the game and while you play remember that you took away about 250 euros of support to a person who works all month on this game

I feel you, man. People like him are usually the one who complains why devs abandon their games. Cos they take away the little support we have just because they can't wait a couple of months.

Sending you all my love and support Arufuredo. We know how hard you work in the game.

You probably shouldn't be here if your against pirated content, also you can't expect people to wait 2 months or about 64 days to get an update

I am not against piracy, I can understand the pirating a game that costs a lot and will never go for free, fun is also for people who can not afford to face the cost, but this is not the case,
every month a version comes out, the latest is for more support, the penultimate for a minor one and then the third becomes free, so every time it always comes out a free version (1 per month) and a new one with support. I spend 5 to 7 hours a day for a month to release an update, since I am a person who thinks about every type of person, the versions go free for those who can not face the price, but as I said I do not do it to earn, If I did for that, I was starving. But that contribution helped me buy the computer when it broke, it helps me live better by paying a bill or maybe two. But you don’t care about that, just hope that this action doesn’t make me want to stop to build of the game.

People should learn to be patient again and not have everything immediatelly.

It's been a while since I played the game. I should try the new update since it was shared.

PS : welcome back Arufuredo.

This feels strange. I usually download loads of pirated games, but this one seems different. I can't afford the paid version, so I wait for the free release. The developer is a cool guy. he's very friendly and patiently answers everyone's questions about the game's development and future story. Downloading this feels like betraying a friend.

Hi, appreciate you stated your perspective in a civil manner.

I'm curious, how do you get the number "250 euros of support"?
From my understanding, for a free game without pay-walled contents, people pledge Patreon cuz they want to support the game, not because the want to buy the update.
This is a pirate site, leaks happen from time to time, but for free WIP games it's quite rare unless the game is super popular.
It shouldn't be a big deal.

This is a hot take someone might not like: If you are starving because you are making a porn video game, maybe you should be reconsidering your life choices.

Games does not get abandoned because of piracy.
Also, most people pirate games because they can, and it costs nothing. "Can't afford" is just a convenient excuse.

hi, the 250 Euro are a total from the Patreon supports more sales itch.io removed taxes. You’re right who wants to support the game will really continue to do so, but some will wonder why support when I can have it for free? and will begin to decrease the support. As I said I don’t built the game to earn money and I won’t starve, but it helped me to live better, like a second job and pay some bills. Also and no less important it was the incentive to make an update per month and work on the game as much as I could, to get better economically. The moment I don’t have these benefits, I can also take my time, don’t stress out and release an update every 3-4 months.
The Games are abandoned for many reasons, many Visual Novels are made by kids who use those contributions to take off their whims, many are too sensitive and are criticized and then give up by interrupting the game, there are many reasons, but do the fake Robin hood, steal from the poor to give to the poor, when anyway I am among those who after a while puts the game for free seems silly. But I understand if you don’t understand the reasoning, why don’t you spend your free time playing games, but I hope you’ll understand that if I had a reason to release an update per month before, if the new copy goes directly free I will no longer have this incentive and I can also take all the time to work on it.
I think I have sufficiently explained my point of view. Before I was telling f95 to update the game above, filling in the Devlogs, entering the Tags, answering questions and listening to suggestions, but now it doesn’t make sense. I wish you good fun

I was not criticising how you monetise your game, it has nothing to do with the topic.
People will financially support you, if they feel like supporting you.
People will pay you money for your work, if they think Your value proposition align with theirs.
Got pirated or not, will NOT change things in the slightest.

No idea where this "fake Robin hood" argument comes from. Like I said, People pirate cuz they can, and it costs nothing for all party involved.
Sure if all people on the world only pirate, then all games will die cuz they don't generate any money. BUT pirates are only the very tiny portion of the population.

If you hate piracy so much, why you even bother to spend time here at all? That does you no good.
If you think you being here can prevent leaks, then you are just delusional.

Games does not get abandoned because of piracy, at all.
But it can have a negative toll on your behaviour / mental health if you can not perceive it properly.

Perhaps games on Patreon are not regularly abandoned because od piracy on F95, but there is no doubt piracy can affect developers's income and hence the future of the project. Your claim "People will financially support you, if they feel like supporting you." is similarly simplistic as Arufuredo's, and its validity or reach is relative. If the total number of patrons is low, or the total amount of money gained is small, then departure of each patron is recognizable and can harm the creator.

Not sure if you were purposely misunderstanding what I said, or you just couldn't comprehend the nuance of the topic.
But I said my piece, take it what you will. Even tho that talk was for Arufuredo, and other devs.

There were sad cases before, devs were so caught up on anti-piracy, blame their game failure on pirates,
that they lost sight of Ease of Access, Word of Mouth (act like a jerk will just alienate people) and Value Proposition: three very important aspects for any indie dev. (ofc Game Quality comes first)
Remember, as long as it's digital, you can't prevent piracy.

Arufuredo Hi,

I cannot, for the live of me, to figure out how to start Hermano route (but I am trying to play 2.9 using my previous demo saves). How do I start his route, nothing happens on the second day. )

Appreciate the help.
