What's the issue? all you do with the file is put it in the game folder.

Do this:
Your file MUST be named patch.rpy and MUST be located in the /game folder.
Don't worry about patch.rpyc, the game will create it automatically upon starting it.

With Windows key + SHIFT + S you can also take screenshots on your PC. Taking a picture of your screen seems weird.
