I remember when i played this game fo the first time i found it horrible and i still think it's horrible except the art the art is great

i mean,if you'd paid attention when you took what i'm assuming is the path where you end up in the forest,that path is the dream path,if you'd paid attention when choosing it you would've seen that.

originally there was meant to be different paths,but stuff happened and masq had to retcon that path into being a dream.

I mean, if that path didn't matter then there wouldn't be a choice for it. There was no closure, no nothing, just "Choose name".

the royalty path originally was meant to be it's own path,if you'd paid attention to my reply i said that stuff happened and masq had to retcon it into being a dream path.

there's a possibility it might get removed in the next update,who knows,but for now it's there.

Why are you being so condescending? It's a legitimate critique of the game, the author shouldn't need people to explain for him, it should be plainly said. Also, it's wishful thinking believing that this game will ever get a next update.

i'm sure that it will get another update,it needs to be finished after all.

plus,masq is currently working on another game,dragon ball infinity as well.

That's what is called wishful thinking. After all how many people were there that never finished game and started doing new ones because they got bored with previous project? Its all nice to believe that it will be completed, but remember that masq got nothing speaking for him, he came out of nowhere and never finished this one before he jumped for dragon ball one.
I don't think that anything is being done with this game right now since dbs is focus right now.

We are not the same group that created fairy tale adventure. I am not even sure how many times I have to continuously say this now. We spoke to the previous owner and came to an agreement. My new group bought his patreon and the rights to his project. We were going to continue the project until he withdrew the rights back preventing us from continuing the project. In turn, we created our own new project - Dragon Ball Infinity.

If you are going to complain about the game then make sure to be certain to who you are referring to.

My new group bought his patreon and the rights to his project. We were going to continue the project until he withdrew the rights back preventing us from continuing the project. In turn, we created our own new project - Dragon Ball Infinity.

i feel like if this is the case,this all probably should've been mentioned before DB-Infinity was started,especially if it means that we'll never get a conclusion to FTA,which utterly sucks beacuse i was really enjoying that game and wanted to see where it went,story wise.

Ah but there is a reason for this actually. The reason we lost the rights to the project is because the creator is continuing it on a different platform. We haven't said anything because we are still in talks to figure out what is happening and who gets what. Once that's done, we'll make a public post explaining it. This is precisely why we have not commented on this thread to prevent confusion.

you mentioned that you and your group bought the masquerade patreon and the rights to the FTA project,right ? if that's the case,and you purchased it,how then could the creator revoke that purchase ?

Some of those artists will only specifically deal with the previous creator which in turn allows him a more easier access to do what he wants with the project. Its unfortunate that your group will not be able to proceed on the project as you've done some solid work with DBZ, and I was excited to see what you could do on FTA, but business is business after all.

Interesting, why didn't you start your own patreon and avoid this mess altogether? I have no doubt that dragon ball would attract patrons on it's own and seeing that dragon ball infinity is shaping up to be fun game leaves me with no doubts you would be fine doing it that way...
Buying someones patreon, even if it wasn't against TOS, at best sounds shady. Why would you even do it? Did you had so little faith in your own project?

Edit: So I did read patreons public posts and what I got is that you "had a shift in our development group as we lost our project manager and a few artists but this doesn't affect our production at all."
Still that made impression that you were part of original team and decided to continue it.
So here are some key points for anyone that is interested but doesn't want to read through all this thread.
- original creator decided to abandon project and some other people left with him
- fan who liked it bought patreon from previous owner in order to continue it, 2.5 came
- original creator came back and wanted to continue project somewhere else without current team
- dragon ball infinity was created?
- some talks are currently ongoing about future of this project

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think it was ever mentioned to patrons that original creater left and project is going to be continued by different group of people? It just become giant mess... I hope it gets resolved soon in favour of current team.

Edit2: Also I couldn't find anything to support that claim that original creator tried to restart project somewhere else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
