Hair physix is taxing, from Witcher 3 to Tomb Raider to Virt-A-Mate. But sorry, I don't know how to toggle it.
Speak for yourself. I don't want a simple animation viewer. If I could get a well done game that rewards you for playing well (so no game over to get the animations), I would choose that every time over an animation viewer. If I want to view the animations, I could just as well go on Pornhub or whatever and look for the gallery there. Or hell, just look at hentai.
I find that, if done well, the gameplay and story can enhance the experience. Make the animations better than they would've been on their own.
Their time is so valuable that it's stupid to pay for.
I believe that good work should be paid, and still I'm using a pirate site! xD

I'm pretty sure that attitude is also why the dev is shifting to multiplayer...I believe that good work should be paid, and still I'm using a pirate site! xD

Did they ever bring back the better AO/shadows from like 20 versions ago? There was a post here a while ago that had comparison images and the difference was noticeable.

Actually they have stopped developing the classic mode after this update and all future nsfw contents will be multiplayer only, as per described on their patreon.

Any plans in uploading the VR version this year?
If you read the thread then you would know that multiplayer is how they are able to continue getting animation work made for them.
They are currently developing the actual game, but it works against their best interest to finish the game. See Star Citizen for a good example of a game, with a lot of funds, that continues to fund raise. Project H will most likely never "finish" their game; as long as they continue to have patrons.
