Just saw the game on hot steam releases. Despite the DRM complains they appear to be blowing up - normally their month to month gain is 200-500 this month its 3000 and still got a day to grow. They know how to make money. The DRM is not for the sake of itself, whatever money they gain from reduced piracy they need to pay in fees. No, it's to create system where they can sell people mtx. If there is one thing worse then mobile game mtx its porn game with mtx. When all the blood is in the dick it is hard to think and people need that blood so they will swipe!

It's kinda disgusting that people are rushing to give them money for a beta access to game where they will have to pay more for outfits/poses/animations what not. "your pledge amount will be converted to currency for upcoming online mode". How do they think that will work ? all the new stuff will come to the online mode and you will have to pay for it. With a bit of luck that will be direct purchase not lootbox crap but i wouldn't rule it out.

However i wouldn't worry that you about forced to interact with others - most probably it will be some password protected room type of stuff where you can invite others but 99.9% people won't.
100% you do not know how this all came to be nor have you followed the development closely.

They purchased a studio grade motion capture setup and paid a team, in Colorado, to do their mocap recordings. When Covid-19 broke out, the studio that was hired, quit working on this. A Japanese company stepped in and offered to do the work, free of charge, if Project H would use their new datacenter to test their infrastructure in a multiplayer setting. ProjectH said that the CEO was following their project. How much of that is true? Who the hell knows and you can believe it if you want. This "always online" side effect does help protect piracy but that was not their primary concern. Finding a studio, which would preform these sexual acts, was their problem. It's not like there are a lot of professional groups out there that want to simulate getting railed by a horse and Japan produces a lot of content that many western media companies won't touch. I wouldn't be surprised if it was DLsite that made the offer, as they get a special thanks.

So you earn digital currency, aka "likes" by being viewed by other people while you preform a scene. Scenes can not be purchased via currency; you earn them. Outfits will be purchasable.

Honestly, if you're worried about being forced to interact with other people? Player names will not be shown so you're friends will not know it's you wanking off. Just set your Steam privacy settings up, too, so Brian won't know you wank to this.

I kinda doubt that when peak players has been 3k... and just 185 for the closed beta. I thought that he asked for 80k keys? Something isn't right. There's almost no activity in the Steam forums except for quite a lot of chinese people.
"There's almost no activity in the Steam forums except for all this Chinese activity".

Ok.

use their new datacenter to test their infrastructure in a multiplayer setting
you can still develop the game without locking shit behind multiplayer; change gallery mode to allow you to control more than one character? give likes through some quests? give them through time? so people who want multiplayer still can play it and do whatever weird shit they want
just don't make it required to unlock the full game that i already paid for

They can but then they need to spend more time developing two different systems. Why should they need to do that? Locking all new content behind a system that requires being connected to the server and streaming the assets to the client provides the same

always online is a trash concept for a game like this and only serves drm purposes
you could have bad internet (or no internet at all), server could be down or in maintenance - or worst case scenario - server gets closed for some reason (game dies after some years, beta testing ends, etc)
and now you paid for a complete game and got a whole section of it cut off
there's many examples of this happening with other games, just do a quick search

Yup, that eventually happens to every single MMO ever developed. They will all die and everyone knows that.

Patreon allows creators to help fund their idea. That's what being a patron is; giving financial support. If a patron doesn't like how the idea is being carried out then they can end your support. Patrons can voice their thoughts but ultimately the decision is up to the creator on how to carry it out. A patron is just a financier, nothing more.

You gotta smoke some strong stuff to believe in that. I rather believe what i see - and i see online mode that people don't want developed in order to sell mtx.

You can't know what they will sell in future. Naturally they start with little things to not scare people off.

You get currency by others "liking" your scenes, You don't see any problem with that eh?
What if you like stuff not many others like? You ain't getting shit for currency or you need to make scenes you don't like just to farm currency. I can already see people going around posting their number "please like my scene". People will basically beg them for possibility to buy the currency with money so they can skip this.

This is no longer a AAA adult game. Its a normal SFW campaign with a NSFW event viewer locked behind an internet connection, anticheat and microtransactions via Patreon subs.

What a shit show. Its a fucking mobile gacha game. Theres an ENERGY SYSTEM. With gacha boxes for positions. Oh man I can just smell the microtransactions from here.
EAC is already wrongfully banning people on launch too.

trash game, super grindy to get the sex scenes.

I really hope retard coomers don't support this micro transaction shit

each character has a cooldown... after which you won't progress with them for that day until the next day. so far only 3 characters, lot of animations doe

only blind fanboys like echo82 can defend this trash

if you want beast/furry/monster x female humans just go to wildlife and carnal instinct
