Yeah this basically turned into the Evolve of porn games: A DLC market with a grindy unfun minigame buried somewhere within. Except even less of a game than Evolve.
What is Evolve? A quick google search got me nowhere. I always knew devs would try to use hornyness against people to make money. If you could link a wiki or something.

because they strike right at the people weakness, the "industry" currently filled with only either Visual Novel, RPG Maker game, generic Side-scrolling and Japanese RPG game; on the other hand Illusion despite their game was not bad, not great either as endless circle of Unity game nowaday. Peoples want something new and innovative, and PH strike right there with FAllen Doll, using Unreal Engine 4 and now with Lovecraftian theme, voice acting, etc...make people crave for this game thus blindly through their wallet at them.
I will write what I have already written more than once: The effect of surprise at the quality of graphics and so on passes in a couple of weeks (a maximum of a month) and that's it. I run games from Illusion much more often than this one. At least there you can customize characters and download new ones. What's going on here? Press 1-2 buttons and watch a looped animation in which the maximum you can do is change the speed of its playback, and turn the camera. That's it, that's the maximum.

It resembles the effect of buying a new thing, with which at first you blow away dust particles everywhere, and after a while you forget and throw it calmly.

This game.

It died on release since the devs outright stated it was designed as a market for DLC. Similar to whats happening here since this is now getting backlash since Helius is planning out/working on all the DLC before he's even done the game.

Yeah Helius likes to talk up his work because the graphics are good but beyond that this is really lackluster. Basically a year and he could barely implement the ability for the player to walk. I imagine a rush in at launch followed by another wave of diappointment like you see here.

If that was the case the project would have died long time ago.
They know very well people get bored of the stuff they have seen already that is why they deliver teasers so regularly. Sometimes those are new outfits or animations other time some crazy stuff like ability to interact with girls during scenes (like pulling boobs). They know how to get people going.
The unlock system ties into it - you can't unlock everything right away you need to keep coming back. Then they will keep adding new animations/ outfits/ girls /monsters. i didn't count but supposedly there are 140 animations and by EA they aim to have 260 and then continue with 30/per season (3 months).

Illusion has the customization but it's a bitch to set up, you so often load a card and then it doesn't look how you saw it on previews. Also they don't have that many animations and no xenos.
TBH FD could have customization i don't think it would be much of a problem but why allow customization when you can sell the girls separately ?

What you have listed is not something outstanding, these are little things that can certainly give an additional positive effect, but don't something wow.

To begin with, with all their diversity, there will be those who will not like this or that animation

There are a bunch of mods, including shaders that improve the graphics of the body and so on. In any case, the character can then be customized to your taste

Again, if you don't like it? Of the three currently existing in the game, I used 1-2 (More often Alet, then Eric. Dr. Anya - never).

The choppy framerate is due to the crappy server the game is being hosted in or Discord's problem?
Its horrible unoptimized right now, One or two players in a lobby and you might get 60 fps with top of the line hardware, anymore than that and you'll most likely be somewhere between 10-20 fps and it varies from both people who have the same hardware and worse hardware its random what kind of fps you get

Noticed someone on steam had posted something similar, but here's the steam charts for the games.

The idea that the server issues are because they got more keys than originally planned for is nonsense since this game never broke 1500 people concurrently. And the player numbers aren't doing great now, either, even with further server issues.

We really need that server spoof to come through so we can play this offline lol.

I hadn't even noticed they tried to turn this into an always online game. They don't even have working doors or more than a few characters so why even bother?

It was for DRM purposes, but I think they didn't realize the reason people can't pirate multiplayer only games is because it's hard to play with others without the game naturally supporting custom servers/peer to peer, not because you can't fake a connection. So the whole single player only in a multiplayer environment isn't working out as they'd hoped.

 So some think you're not buying the game on patreon even though you're paying for a key and the tiers specifically says you'll get the full game when released and all current builds, and then mock users on steam for being upset and that they should've researched the game more before 'purchasing' even though its not a purchase according to them, when all info about ingame mechanics and such are locked behind paywalls and the ingame mechanics aren't even explained on the patreon, where you buy it from. what...:WaitWhat: How does that even make sense. They don't even answer questions on patreon or steam either at least not the threads I've seen on steam.

And yeah that steamchart about players online is just depressing, seeing as the entire economy of the game is built on player interaction and future microtransactions(Character bundles. and perhaps ingame currency purchased directly, although its been "denied" so far.), so avg 150 players after release and then now the past few days even a drop below 100 players per day, all of these players most likely also spread out over the globe, empty lobbies yay!:LUL:

Most of the people left on Discord just go by whatever helius says. So Helius says "You're not buying the game through patreon" then that's gospel to them, no matter what.

And for the playerbase, I think Helius killed it by making an unfun grind. Remeber that you don't get the starting booster on release, so new players will have like, maybe 9 or 12 anims since it should be a multiple of 3 for pack opening? Meaning new players are gonna be seeing the same animations for hours before getting new ones. The majority of people will just watch videos of this online and ignore the game.

Don't forget you can get duplicates when opening those lootboxes as well, so you might get even less animations, and then you might not even get animations you like either.
