man I just recently found this game/thread, had a massive fap, watched the thread for future updates for new scenes or whatever, and... moved on.

I stopped posting here, but, game is fine. No more issues really, just runs. Grinding is a bit eh but it's really a non issue from what I've seen. You're never really "stopped" unless you want to grind 2 hours a day.
366 pages? that's a lot, what is this about? i noticed someone on the previous page talking about likes and then there's patreon and investors too... i'm confused
The direction this game is getting to changes my thoughts about it from: I would buy it to: I hope some1 crack this shit.

I could still remember that this game was supposed to be a XCOM game... Wtf happened in 1 year lol
The drama is more entertaining than the game itself, with the bonus you don't have to pay a cent for it.
Yeah at this point it's the only way older donors can get their moneys worth without dealing with crummy servers, needing a yearly access pass, or buying several seasons passes each year in addition.
The SFW GAME CAMPAIGN was supposed to be that, and that always came AFTER the porn game, that's a looooooong way out.
You can login 100% of the time, servers are split by region... I got like 13ms ping even.
I'm not sure what your goal is here? If you want to defend it, you're good to go on literally anything but performance. The devs themselves have acknowledged it's so shit were in another several month pause as they literally redo it.
Like there's literally no one who can run the game once a few people start joining the server.
Also, server up time is certainly not 100%, AWS alone had two outages last month and PH had additional on top both from errors and just regular maintenance.
Also, my comment was because old donors didn't donate for always online freemium gacha, not because of bad servers. This will still suck when they fix the bugs.

The pings are bullshit though, there's no way I am getting 10ms ping to all servers around the world...
And I am pretty sure the game campaign was never sold to be SFW, its just now suddenly in december that Helius has begun to say that making NSFW campaign is hard, time to make it SFW for all ages with heavily sexualized female characters...

Well, that's not how you make a product that is supposed to keep your customers loyal and satisfied. The easiest way to achieve both – rewarding gameplay loop. Anthem didn't have one – it died. NMS has one and it expands on it – it succeeds.
Harem mode is not that loop. Promised Erotes club (it is probably going to be what the original fallen doll was) also doesn't have what it needs. But the XCOM be it SFW or NSFW. That's exactly where this loop could and should have been! Similar to Azure Lane or FEH where you get rewarded with things that improve the what is now "gacha" part. Consumables, currency, some items that can be placed around the scenes, etc.
Or even better! Make it a goddamn Pockemonlike game where xenos have their own skills/traits/lvls/grades and can be caught/improved and used later for some multiplayer challenges/duels or whatever.
I'm sorry for this long essay but as I was saying porn parton its own wont be able to keep people

Character bundles in the future bought with real money, or spend thousands of dollars now on patreon to have enough likes to purchase everything. Or earn it another way like a shooter mode or something Helius has been talking about but when that comes who knows. But if I remember right I think Helius have said some of the harem features will be coop only, like egg laying or something like that I don't have access to their discord anymore so I can't search it up.
But I might be miss remembering about the coop part

I think multiplayer is good for competitive play, but it always break the immersion.
For sex games, I don't think it's a good match. It's kinda creepy to be honest. It's either a disguised DRM or an anti consumer 'feature'. Like EA Games.
No wonder why people hate them. It's good cash in the short term, but it damages your image irreversibly.
I could see a multiplayer porn game doing well. Roleplay servers do well in all kinds of games and forums, so an actual online roleplay sort of game might crush it. Helius just went with the creepiest version possible, a bunch of mute randos staring at each other as they slowly beat their meat and toss out a thumbs out every so often.
Like if one person could be the horse and another the girl? I'm sure you'd have people flocking to the game, coming out of their pony ERP forums.

Nono letting people talk freely in public lobby is disastrous idea, only thing worse would be voice chat yikes.
As for private lobbies, sure whatever. No idea how controlling the monsters is supposed to work tho... like you pick a character and then walk up to people to start a scene ? "Horseman wants to fuck you in the ass. Do you agree?"
Some will find it creepy, others won't and some other will get extra kick out of it.
ERP is a thing, strip clubs exist. Also before internet became a thing borrowing a porn tape and watching it with ya pals was a thing.
I think most people as long as they don't get to see another person dong they won't care.
Depends what you mean by running the game XD. From my experience the performance boost only happens when the lobby is empty so i'm not sure if limiting people would do much also would make finding someone that replies likes harder :/ .They need to make use of the tech that makes the game not load people that are not on screen or at least not those that are hidden or in different room.

Culling planes, yeah it's weird they don't have that set up since I'm like 90% certain engines like unreal have that stock and you just need to set them up. Maybe just doesn't know about it since he didn't need it for his previous scene viewer.
Yeah it needs to be moderated fairly heavily, they may not want to set up a system to make trusted users mods or something. Ripe for trolls.
I played in a furry ERP server on gmod back in the day (for various academic reasons) and yeah it worked exactly like that. Go up to someone and be like "Hey, you got nothing going on. Wanna cyber?" Then you'd do whatever you were gonna do.
It was even earlier than that IIRC.
They had announced the actual gameplay portion was going to be a separate part of the game, then changed their tune when people on the Patreon complained, only to go back on their word yet again and say that the gameplay was going to be completely separated and unconnected to the porn part.
